Re: Moyes Out
"he has zero self awareness, and takes no responsibility in regard to the way he demoralizes certain players. reading that, he must have thought he was buying the italian version of andy carroll rather than a technical goalscorer"
Re: Moyes Out
"This is what Moyes said about him the following week, just before he started vs Larnacca, and a week before he played for Italy: ""It's a good chance for him, we want him back. He's got something. We like him a lot. He is a great boy. A really good boy. In fact, a very good boy. We want him to do well. We want our Gianluca back who we had from August to November,""ù Moyes said. ""The one we have got right now looks slightly different. We need him to get back to those levels because we could use him, we could play him. I'm not going to elaborate [on the data] but we want him to be physically working hard for the team, getting in the right goalscoring positions, playing like a 6'4"" centre forward and covering all the ground. That's what we want from him. ""In the early part of the season, we saw that. I just think we haven't seen it since he has come back from his injury.""ù To be fair to Moyes, it's always possible that he might have had a point, given that shortly after Scamacca needed to have surgery on the same knee that he'd been out injured with previously. Perhaps it was making him struggle a bit."

Re: Moyes Out
"he talks absolute fucking gibberish, he references cornet yet is now treating him the exact same way as he did, scamacca"
Re: Moyes Out
"Moyes never said anything about Scamacca being unfit. He said that about ""physical data"" when asked why Cornet was put up front instead of him. Basically I think his issue is that he wants Scamacca to put himself about more and run the channels, etc. even though it's obvious that isn't his game. It was never about actual fitness though. The full quote is here: ""We know that his physical data has got to be much better than it is,' Moyes said. ""òThe thought was Maxi Cornet could get in behind them. We saw Maxi doing that more than Gianluca. Gianluca has got to get himself back. ""No manager wants to put out a bad team. You want to put out the players who you think are going to win for you, so you are always looking to put your best team out. ""I think his application is there, we just want the output to be bigger and more, that's one of things we are looking for more (of). ""The general part of his play, his hold-up play, we like him for it, he's really, really good at it and we've not seen it as much in the work we've been doing."""

Re: Moyes Out
"Goose - Oh, he's definitely out now. Won't reappear this season. I probably should have made it clear that the guy was talking about a period earlier in the season. At one point, he was declared effectively unfit by Moyes, but went off to play for Italy - against England - in the European Championship qualifier. Moyes/West Ham were telling people he wasn't ready - and made that stupid claim about his 'physical data'. Then he turned up on everybody's TV screens playing for his country. From what I'm told, that whole situation had been bubbling away for a few weeks at that point. The reality of the situation has, as many fans suspected, been a little bit different to that declared by certain folk."

Re: Moyes Out
I personally think the media know west ham ain't a threat to anyone while he's in charge. It's exactly the same with Sullivan another one who gets a ridiculously easy ride .

Re: Moyes Out
Saw somewhere today that's 72 away games vs the top 6 sides Moyes has failed to win. Remarkable stat if true. Hopeful he signs a new long term contract with those numbers.

Re: Moyes Out
"The situation is highly frustrating and seemingly irrational from the hard-core fans and players' point of view. But the board's business model is all about TV, attendance and merchandising revenues so spend on new players is all about supporting that, not on-pitch performance. So the bar is set very, very low for Moyes. He has pretty much no football strategy requirement from the board, can choose players according to what a suits him and it is clear he sees West Ham as no more than a feeder club for the top six. In fact, his failure to use perfectly good players like Scamacca, Downes and Fornals generates media noise and interest. It's rotten from the top and Moyes is merely the blight. We're going to be frustrated while the board decides to keep us this way."
Re: Moyes Out
"southbankbornnbred 12:03 Thu May 4 Wouldn't surprise me, Moyes' man management seems to be a fucking car crash. Benny, Downes and now Scamacca. 3 players who should be very impactful for us he just casts aside. Shame as I like Scamacca, really think he could be lethal for us. Hoping that Moyes fucks off and a new manager convinces him to stay and give it a go. Much more likely is him being fucked off back to Italy for half what we paid and then signing some shit from abroad and Moyes sacked 6 games into the new season. GSB OUT!"

Re: Moyes Out
"Emperor Moyes is a vampire. Sucking the energy and soul out of everyone around him. It's got so bad that people are just happy to get out of Man City with a 0-3 loss. That's the level this cսnt has created. I despise the man. Can't wait to see the back of the miserable, useless cսnt."

Re: Moyes Out
scouse kid 9:48 Wed May 3 What the fuck has that got to do with anything I was referring to? The poster before said all he can remember was Sam signing Okocha and still playing shit football. I reminded him of about another seven top players Bolton signed. I wasn't advocating the signings - Just pointing out they were world class players.

Re: Moyes Out
"Btw, was chatting to a West Ham employee recently - a long-term friend who I see every now and then - who said it is an open secret that Scamacca has been available for 'most' games in which he has not featured. He's fed up and wants to go home. Moyes just doesn't like him as a player - hence the Ings deal. So that was £30m pissed down the drain."

Re: Moyes Out
"Any rational owners would part company with a manager who, having spent £200m in a season, among the highest spenders in world football, has created a situation whereby we are relying on our final three games of the season to stay up. The Premier League campaign this season has been gut-wrenchingly pathetic. We have arguably England's most reliable player, Brazil's #8 and Italy's #9 in this squad - plus a decent Morocco defender whose side went to the World Cup semi finals. Yet we're fucking around near the bottom of the league with three games to go, barely laying a finger on decent sides over 90 minutes, and with a manager praising a 3-0 defeat like it was some sort of major victory. He really is the most life-sucking mood vacuum imaginable. More so, in many ways, than the gravy-drinking Allardyce. The problem is, our current owner is not rational..."

Re: Moyes Out
I can't see them getting rid of Moyes even if we get to the Conference final. Sullivan will be happy with that got to a final and most importantly retained their Premier league status. Fucking depressing the whole charade.

Re: Moyes Out
"Best chance in decades to win some silverware and we have a manager who won't set out to win it but to try not to lose it He's stuck in the 90s, football has moved on massively from ""respecting the point"" Hence why fat Sam will fail spectacularly"
Re: Moyes Out
"After one half decent performance at Bournemouth, the last 3 games have been a reminder of why Moyes must go in the summer. I'd guess about 25% possession in those 3 games and barely a shot on target from open play."

Re: Moyes Out
We ain't going down anyway. Moyes is utter shite but I'll be astonished if we go down from here . We need another 2 points maximum and are in reality 6 points ahead of Everton and 5 of Leeds and Nottingham forest due to our goal difference. And 2 of them have man city still to play . And they won't drop another point all season.
