Like I said Miike.. re Allardyce... I stopped going... if I was at the games I could have started up WALRUS OUT chants or whatever... trying to make a difference... but instead I came on here and moaned and called him a fat headed cսnt... and moaned and called him a fat headed cսnt etc... etc... etc... we are not long on this mortal coil... wish I could have had that time back.

"Coffee 12:59 Mon May 15 For me the most important decision for the club owners is not so much which individual they choose to replace Moyes, but the style of football they want played on a long term basis. These days it's very rare for a manager to keep his job for long so there needs to be continual succession planning, and the new coach needs to be able to adapt easily to his new squad. If, as we've been doing for years, we chop and change with completely different types of manager each time, we just end up with a raggedy ass team of misfits half of whom don't fit in with the new manager and end up getting sold on the cheap. In a way, it's a good thing that most of the players bought last summer were such a bad fit for Moyes' style, because it makes it that much more appropriate to replace him with one who likes to play a more attacking brand of football."

"Most of the names we've linked with I'd see as an immediate upgrade on what we have. But given the choice, I'd prefer us to go for a younger manager who is on a upwards trajectory (who we might have to nick from another club), over and older one who's just been sacked."

Like other posters have said Miike... you used to be a decent poster on here... not sure what's happened to you...but I think you need to take time off on here... life's too short for all this constant keyboard moaning... believe me ... I know.... far far far more important things out there...

"Coffee 12:59 Mon May 15 Re: Moyes Out The same old question keeps raising its head - who should replace him? My money is on Potter. He is experienced, seems intelligent, has a good footballing brain, has proved himself at Brighton, yeah, it's Potter for me."

"When he first come in, Moyes didn't go for the cups. Arsenal away anyone? Since he's been given £300mil to spend on players this time round, he's had a go here and there, and he could win the Johnstone Paint European cup. If he doesn't beat that shit we played last Thursday, then I don't know what the fuck is going on."

Coffee It would be very hard to get a manager in thats top quality and proven. Some people would argue that Potter and Rodgers are quality and proven. Others would argue that neither are quality or proven. It would be beneficial for the club to look for a manager who is on a upwards trajectory. Or we could go for another manager who is one the downward part of his career but who has previously been proven and quality.

Oh and for the record... I put up on here I never wanted Moyes the first time around ... or the second... but as I said he does give the cups a good go and for that I will give him some credit... so therefore the comparisons with the fat headed fish eating Walrus cսnt are way way off...

"Lee Trundle 11:08 Mon May 15 Yup i'd go along with what Trunds said... in my semi retirement I listen to a lot of Talk Sport... you will not have anyone bad mouth Moyes... even when we was in the shit... Cottee was on last week banging his drum... saying that the previous 2 seasons were abnormal West Ham seasons and this is more of a `Normal' Season but with the added bonus of hopefully a final to look forward to .... he said he's been having heated discussions galore with fans both in and out of the stadium and cannot understand their views... that's the type of situation where are in... the board are sitting on their hands of course they are... it seems like there are no massive Moyes Out protests... No Moyes Out chants... Moyes `should` not get you relegated ....he does take the Cups seriously ... So If we win this Cup I honestly don't think he's going anywhere and he will start next season as our manager... and all the bleating, moaning and stamping of feet on a forum is not going to change that..."

"The same old question keeps raising its head - who should replace him? There's no point exchanging like for like, the new manager has to be top quality and proven. I keep hearing names I've never heard of from various corners of Europe, and managers from the lower leagues who haven't had a chance to prove themselves consistently in the Premier League. That's always going to be a risk. So who should replace him?"

While one player doesnt make a team. Moyes has been very fortunate to have Rice fit and available. I do wonder how this season or last would have worked out without being to name Rice week in and week out. It would have been very interesting too see how Moyes would have handled that situation and if he would still be in situ if that occured

"At the end of last season the three teams immediately above the relegation zone were Leeds , Everton and Southampton. Two, maybe, all three of those teams will go down. We are bobbling along at a point a game more or less for the whole season and will probably end up in the bottom six. The evidence is clear that, regardless of winning the EL or not, we will be in danger of another really poor season with relegation a very likely outcome. The owners are not fools and though they have taken the risk, and likely got away with it, of keeping Moyes till the end of this season they know a change of manager is urgent. Moyes will be gone at the end of this season the only question is who will replace him. Be prepared for a surprise."

"Lee Trundle 11:08 That's true, but a strong owner wouldn't/shouldn't hesitate to do what's best for their club, which is clearly to move on even if we win the UCL, rather than fear what the idiots on Talksport and in the written press say. There are plenty of ways of spinning it. If he's not gone in the summer (and I believe he will be anyway) then it's only postponing the inevitable until we're in a bad position next season and probably out of the Europa League in the group stage. This is a moment to think about the big picture, and the right decision, despite maybe winning the UCL is to change the manager."

"RdUeSpSrEeLsLsed 11:57 Mon May 15 Someone should ask them on there if Moyes can be blamed for the demise of the U21's then? They were 2nd only to City last season (similar to the U18's this season), but have become decimated through the lack of chances with the first XI, and only stayed up this season by the skin of their teeth due to a slightly better goal difference."

"This cup is so tin pot - look at who we've played/beaten up to now! Don't get me wrong, a cup is a cup, but it's criminal if this glosses over how close we've been to getting relegated. I've seen some shit over the years and this current brand of football is definitely up there. To win it, would a great way for Moyes/ Rice to sign off - then we can all just move on with our lives"

Had a rare look on WHTID and some are crediting Moyes with the under 18 accomplishments. I come off that site thinking Moyes is like Pep.

"""I hope winning the conference cup doesn't keep Moyes in a job"" Of course it's likely to. I've said this a few times now, but it will take an extremely brave owner to sack Moyes if we do win it, and Sullivan isn't that brave. The press still support Moyes, and if anything, they're ramping up their support of him knowing it will likely be a big story this summer, if we win a trophy and then look to bin him off."

"The worse thing that can happen is that by winning the CLC it keeps Moyes in his job , And we all have to put up with his negative tactics again next season."
