"as much as you'll be shocked, keeping him isn't sustainable. almost half a fucking billion committed on players he has no idea how to use? half the squad (possibly more) clearly hate the cսnt and the football he wants them to play. the cosy friendship between that dinosaur cսnt and the dwarf control freak cannot continue for much longer"

Re: Moyes Out
"I'll be shocked if Moyes isn't here next season now. The fist pump after Man Utd to the owners and his recent ""òwe' comments regarding next season is indication enough, no matter how we finish in Europe. There isn't going to be any buyout. There isn't going to be a new manager. We'll piss away the money from Rice's transfer, and continue playing the same torturous shit he has served up for a year and a half."
Re: Moyes Out
"Anyway you look at it, Moyes has delivered abject failure in the league this season. A business consultant / accountant a football director would give him a fat ""F""ù for failed ( helps it also prefixes ""fvck off""ù too). It would top Sullivan's honor role of fvckwittery if he is retained which is why it's highly likely. I'm wildly guessing Sullivan thinks getting a DOF in ( Edwards formerly of Liverpool being touted which is false if Dwarf recruiting of someone who was at a ""bling""ù'club in his mind ) will provide risk mitigation or. He is and balances to Moyes and Newman wasting millions on players he ain't play again? And therein lies the issue. It's all so disjointed. You need an overarching plan or strategy including football philosophy or style. Then you get the most suitable DOF, manager, coaching, training facilities, youth development, scouting, recruitment etc to deliver it. It might take 5 - 10'years or more. It's the only way any non super rich club ( outside rich 5 which IMO includes Newcastle BUT excludes Spurs and possibly even Liverpool). Youth development, recruitment and scouting are the key. Brighton are showing that but you gave to keep moving and investing. Brighton use this data analytics model whereas Sullivan has his 1990s Rolodex and list of crony agents along with a manager who's ideas are 1990s and festering"

Mike totally agree about Moyes. His brand of football worked under COVID but it's a busted flush now. Time for a clean break for everyone.

"scouse, I believe very little the club puts out but even cutting that contract total in half, the total spent still goes over £350m. we've lost nineteen league games this season, it's suicidal even thinking about keeping him in charge"

Re: Moyes Out
"""Which probably highlights the under investment that dwarfy had made into the club over that 5 year period"" Under investment? You look at the investment in WORLD football over the last 5 years, and you'll find that we came 5th, behind Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal and Tottenham in terms of net spending. He's just useless at spending money."

Re: Moyes Out
TM I am always dubious on wages. Especially as before the transfer splurge last summer our annual wage bill was apparently less than 2017. Which probably highlights the under investment that dwarfy had made into the club over that 5 year period

"Wonder if our presence in Europe (or otherwise) next season could be a factor in any sale either. However I guess that's pretty easily managed. 'If in Europe, it's... If not, it's ....' But yes as has been said many times we will never evolve until Sullivan is gone."

Re: Moyes Out
"claret & booze put out an interesting video this morning showing the total expenditure on the past year's signings. on top of the £197m transfer fees, we apparently had a further £47m in agent fees on top of that. with the added wage amount over the full contract period, the total amount spent comes to just short of half a billion"
Re: Moyes Out
"Sullivan is that metaphoric ""ginormous turd you can't flush""ù. He wants his sons to have something to do like him and play real life football managers We seem to be stuck with him and hence no sustained progress for good :-("

Re: Moyes Out
I'd imagine there won't be any serious negotiations until our Premier League status has been confirmed. But there are interested parties sniffing around.
Re: Moyes Out
I still think that if it was going to happen soon we would have got wind of it from somewhere. I'm sure it will happen eventually but one thing about Sullivan is that he does seem to have ambitions for WHU. I know someone that is a contact of a board member's family and get occasional snippets of info. According to them there's no talk of a takeover at this time.

Re: Moyes Out
Whatever happens with the ownership with the club. Sullivan clearly isn't as powerful as he was 2 years ago. he owns 38% now compared to 54% then .and can be easily outvoted now . I still suspect something is going to happen sooner or later with the ownership. And that bloke that 1st broke the kretinsky news on twitter is absolutely adamant Sullivan is desperate to sell up and will be gone before the end of this year .
Re: Moyes Out
Pretty sure that 30% rule applies to other PL clubs only. For Uefa the issue is only if they play in the same competition. In any case if Kretinsky does take over West Ham I'd expect him to sell some or all his shares in Prague and become our CEO instead.
Re: Moyes Out
"Nagel wrote... Re: Moyes Out Willtell, the only other football club Kretinsky has invested in he's been their Chairman ever since, so that kinda blows that theory out the water. ""î""î""î""î""î""î- Not really Nagel. Kretinsky can't own more than 30% of WHU while owner of any other EUFA club"

Re: Moyes Out
Listed shares will have a formal marketplace that might make it easier to buy and sell. In private businesses you need to market your shares to other individuals or businesses privately of at least generally not through established formal markets. What we are taking about here is buying all the shares or most of the shares available. The pricing will be agreed between the buyer and seller. The valuation is any number of factors that I already mentioned.
Re: Moyes Out
"Yeah, but the point was that for a listed company you can generally buy or sell shares at whatever price it's going for on that particular day, so it's easy to define its share value at any given time, whereas you can't really do that at a private company. I'm not a city boy like some on here, and never owned shares in my life, but that's my understanding of it anyway."

Re: Moyes Out
"To be clear, ANY share is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it based upon any number of factors. Available funds to buy and a good sense that you can either take dividends or the value could grow are the most normal in pure finance terms. I would think DK would be looking to grow value and my fear is it would be funded by debt."
Re: Moyes Out
"Forbes valued us at $900m last year. Not that it matters. It's just a made up figure. They valued Everton and Leicester higher than us as well. If it's a private company then aren't the shares only worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them? Kretinsky apparently has an agreement to buy the remaining shares at the price he bought his original ones at, so that is probably the only share value worth looking at."
