"I don't believe we were ever hiring a director of football, the moans about newman were the usual deflection and ultimately the midget likes being involved. if rob does leave, he'll (sullivan) be back in control"

Re: Moyes Out
"Emperor Moyes has acted swiftly in his attempt to maintain control by using the ECL win as a way of buying Sullivan's loyalty. And in doing so it appears he has coerced him into dropping the Director of Football plan. A bold and decisive move by the emperor who would not want anyone from the outside meddling and levering control from him. It also appears the Emperor has now finally seen off the threat from Warburton who now seems quite happy at being under the emperors control. Moyes is in complete control. The ECL win has even seen some of his main protestors quietened down and, right now, their is civil obedience. A dictatorships perfect scenario. My fear is for the future. The tail is now wagging the dog. Moyes will soon be in control of £100m of transfer money with whatever else the state can raise for him. I hope he doesn't fuck it up."
Re: Moyes Out
"Worrying part for me is that winning the trophy seems to have whitewashed all the shortcomings. There was a brief mention in the Guardian (?) article about the club having a rethink about a DoF. We need to do much better with our recruitment this summer, and updating our approach to games."

Re: Moyes Out
"Pretty worried about next season. I didn't think he would be here next season regardless of whether we won the ECL or not. I do think we've put emotion in front of the needs of the club. If you put the club first all decisions are easy. The problem is always that thinking with emotion will always create mistakes. He has 1 year left on his contract and West Ham will exist after he has gone. So what direction is Moyes taking us footballing wise? I see no evidence of any improvement in actual football. Even with our European win. (Let's be honest, we were favourites to win it from the start). If our preseason shows no change in style I think it's just going to be a depressing time again. I just wonder if Moyes' success has humbled or emboldened him? The reason why Fergie was such a good manager is he evolved. He used assistant managers to bring styles of play he didn't know how to coach himself and adapted Man U for 2 decades. Pep also evolves. I don't see any of that with Moyes."

Re: Moyes Out
"Yarmouth, did you seriously think Sullivan was going to fire Moyes after the cup win?"
Re: Moyes Out
From being totally elated on Wednesday to thoroughly depressed today if this about Moyes staying is correct. Another season of absolute fucking crap football with this wanker at the helm. What the fuck is he going to do if Antonio is out? What type of 'striker' will come to us with fucking Moyes in charge? Fucking absolute crap decision by Sullivan - slimy little dildo wielding mug. Why the fuck can't Celtic lure the wanker away?

Re: Moyes Out
"Sounds like Moyes has insisted on no director of football in the talks with Sullivan Fuck him he's holding West Ham back, don't care we won the conference we should have done it with or without Moyes Can't wait for him to piss away another chunk of money on players that don't suit us"
Re: Moyes Out
"What a waste. If they were his signings last year, what was he thinking. Or is he going to admit that they were Sullivan's signings and didn't have a clue what to do with them."

Re: Moyes Out
Given its the last year of Moyes contract I don't see Sullivan looking to pay him off it will be similar to the last year of Fat Sam. Given that Luton have been promoted and Sheff United have financial issues and Everton could be docked points. It's hardly likely we will be dragged into a full on scrap at the bottom. It would have been ideal time to change tact at the top as the new man in charge would have time to bed in and given a chance to develop players. it will be interesting too see if Moyes has plans to integrate the players from the successful youth teams of the last couple of seasons
Re: Moyes Out
Not amused with the fact he is staying as I think we would grow under a young adventurous coach. But sometimes better the devil you know until things calm down. Rice seems to love him so may stay on next season.

Re: Moyes Out
"muskie 6:24 Very real possibility. Seems like a mooted season long loan deal to Roma or someone is the sensible option here. He gets to play, hopefully flourish, and his value stays high, if he's not going to get a fair game or refuses to play under Moyes. In all honesty, I think Moyes is likely gone before the end of next season at which time Scamacca can possibly come back or be sold for at least a good amount rather then being given away."

Re: Moyes Out
More defensive pump it to the striker to run run and run. We stank that semi final and final out not being able to make a decent pass to each other more often than not but the players won the day with grit and determination. I fear with Rice sold I really do. As for strikers I'd not be surprised if Moyes gets Lukaku on loan.
Re: Moyes Out
Watch Scamacca leave for half of what we paid for him then he bangs in a shed load of goals.

Re: Moyes Out
"Not what I want, but it is what it is. I'll be praying he can have a big rethink of the way he approaches games and come back with a new mindset which plays to the strengths of our players and makes full use of his squad, but I fear we are in for more of the same negative approach to games and hard to watch football with the same 12-13 players playing the same way week in week out. Time will tell."

Re: Moyes Out
It looks like he is staying. I'm now hoping he plays to his strengths and gets players in that can play Moyesball (no matter how boring it is)
Re: Moyes Out
"My hope is will get in a decent DOF to help Moyes recruit the right players and with the positivity of winning a trophy and the last quater of last season seeing a big upturn in form we'll really kick on starting in August. Paqueta looks well settled and could be the season Bowen proves himself a top player rather than just a very good one. Or, maybe not. In true west ham style could be a massive let down and anti climax."
Re: Moyes Out
"3 seasons of European football and our first cup in 43 years, when he rejoined the club I would have taken that so feel he deserves another season, BUT he has to get us back to playing the way were in the Lingard era - the football has to be better"

Re: Moyes Out
"Of course he's staying, Sullivan told the world he was. Celtic were never going to be stupid enough to hire a bloke who is the complete antithesis of the manager that has just left them."
