"We should be asking Paquetta his thoughts on his former team mate Moussa Demb√©l√©, to see f he rates him. He is available on a free, scores goals and is not a dinosaur. Yes he is a cսnt for the QF but i am sure if he performs we can let that slide."

Re: Moyes Out
"I have to agree. I bloody loved winning that cup and I wouldn't belittle it at all, but it has papered over a lot of cracks which still fundamentally exist. We have SO many questions going into this season. We could be decent or we could be awful. What happens to Scamacca and Ings? How do we replace Rice? What do we do about Zouma and Ogbonna? Right back? Does Soucek keep his place? What about Vlasic? How much longer will Paqueta be happy with all this going on around him?"

Re: Moyes Out
"Lazio & Villarreal were in good positions in their leagues to get CL football at the time, they obviously took the view to make their league position their priorities, so that can be deemed belittling the Conference competition. UEFA staged the final at a 20,000 capacity stadium this is also belittling the same competition without even having to mention West Ham.You have to at the very least put this cup difficulty last into perspective so we can focus on where Moyes has really got us. We didn't have a transitional season last season....what we had was him trying to transition then shrinking into his old set up so no progress was made.....this cost us 20 defeats in the league campaign which has to be your priority as it pretty well set us up for the season. In the conference last season we could have a much needed rest from the shit that was the league results and performances. In the Europa this season you can't do this so easily so I would not be shocked if the cսnt let us drop back into the Conference League if things aren't going right in the league, which is likely as our formation is pretty well null and void in the PL now. I am very concerned about next season, as the cup although being a welcome and wonderful trophy win it has been possibly the ultimate way to paper over the huge cracks in our set up as a club.....Our preseason last season was a shambles and it had as much to do with getting our transfer business done early as it did his own admittance that it was his fault we wasn't at the races from the start..... ....sorry if that upsets a few of you wanting to continue to basque in our cup glory, but if that is the case then maybe stay off the Moyes out thread...."

Re: Moyes Out
"Yarmouth is absolutely right about Moyes. We won the cup despite Moyes not because of him. We played dire, negative football in the final, allowing once again the opposition to dominate possession and hope to hit them on the break, which joyfully (positive comment) we did in the 90th minute. However, lets not let that gloss over Moyes performance on the rest of the abysmal season (negative comment). We should sack the cսnt now and let someone else spend the Rice Money (positive comment)"

Re: Moyes Out
"fraser, That's fair enough. The way I would look at it is that we were one of the favourites but unlike the other teams you mentioned plus Fiorentina we were the team that actually went on to win it. Lazio lost to AZ Alkmaar home and away which goes to show that Alkmaar wasn't going to be an easy game for us while Villarreal lost to Anderlecht who we best twice in the group stages. So even as one of the favourites we still had to be really consistent to go on and win it and we beat the teams that knocked out the other favourites. I know that you weren't belittling it btw and were genuinely happy we won it. Yarmouth on the other hand absolutely was belittling it. All his comments are rants about David Moyes. He hasn't made one single positive comment about our cup win."
Re: Moyes Out
Villareal Lazio and Nice all better than anyone we played before the final I'd say. We drew the weakest team in Larnaca in our first knock out. The draw was definitely kind to us. But I don't care because we won it. But stating that isn't belittling it. I'd happily win the FA cup by playing all lower league teams and then beating someone in the final which we were going into as 50/50 as we did this.

Re: Moyes Out
"How the fuck is it belittling it, the opposition were poor. We had a great draw and missed all the better teams and won it, I'm over the moon about it still.. Doesn't change the facts. We could win the FA cup by avoiding everyone good in the draw, it wouldn't belittle that either Arsenal have done it enough."

Re: Moyes Out
They were pub sides joyo Why we were joint favourites from the start let alone before all the big boys went out Unless you're going to try and make out we played some top sides because it's simply not true
Re: Moyes Out
"""Beat pub sìdes""...jezz what a way to describe winning our first major trophy in 43 years, belittling ot more like Enjoy the moment Yarmouth"
Re: Moyes Out
"It fucking amazes me how dumb the Moyes brigade are on here. They're prepared to sacrifice entertaining football to pander to this cu*t who lost more than he won + drew last season in the league but are happy we beat pub sides along the way. For fuck's sake. Moyes is a washed up mug who is bringing our club down. The Moyes brigade will slag me for this as we've just won a 'Euro trophy' and the 1st trophy in 43 years, but watch what happens in the Europa cup next year + the Prem and then tell me I'm wrong. I was at Wembley when we beat the Arsenal in 1980 as a 2nd division side playing the West Ham way of attacking football under Johnny Lyall - that was class, not this shit Moyes delivers each fucking week. He's fucking toxic as a manager for us and the sooner he fucks off the better. Antonio again as our striker of choice next year? - just fuck off do. Get real for fuck's sake lads."
Re: Moyes Out
"David Moyes wrote a piece in the papers pre the euros saying that Kral was one to watch and how much he admired him. Moyes declared: ""Kral, who just turned 23, is a young midfielder who played for Slavia and then moved to Spartak. He should play in the main squad of the Czech national team. In his manner of playing, he is similar to (Tomas) Soucek, but still plays in a slightly different style. ""He controls the ball well, he can play in the selection and skillfully chooses the position..."""
Re: Moyes Out
"I think there's little doubt that occasionally Sullivan will tell managers that I'm buying this player and YOU WILL have him in the squad. I think it happened when Moyes wanted Lingard and Broja but wasn't getting anywhere so Sullivan stepped in with Scamacca. I also heard that Ings wasn't Moytes choice at all but wanted to go with no-one again... Kra; and Vlasic were also clearly not Moyes choices and I suspect, neither was Downes nor Warburton..."

"Goodbye flair, creativity and entertainment. We probably won't go down but the football will be miserable. The best we are going to get next season is a team of hard working, predictable plodders happy to follow orders. And that's the BEST case scenario ...."

"threesixty 12:07 Mon Jun 19 ""What is really strange about Moyes is that he seems to think changing a player in a system changes the system. He'll swap a player but not really adapt the system for the player. e.g, Scamaca and Ings come on for Antonio and expected to play the same way. It's just odd."" Very odd. And my biggest frustration with him. You take Antonio off for Scamacca then you really need to change to a 4-3-3. It's just ridiculous that he would do a straight swap. And it really shows his limitations as a manager and coach. All the players should be drilled and know what tactics and formation fit which personnel. It's just either really dumb or really lazy."

Re: Moyes Out
"Willtell Moyes never wastes an opportunity to tell us he has last say on all signings. Even if Sullivan were to present a player if Moyes really doesn't want him he ain't coming. I think Moyes understands what's required in football but doesn't know how to get players to do it. The only style he knows how to coach is the present one he reverts to. Even when he spent a whole season trying to play possession football it kind of just looked like the same thing he'd been playing for the last year. What is really strange about Moyes is that he seems to think changing a player in a system changes the system. He'll swap a player but not really adapt the system for the player. e.g, Scamaca and Ings come on for Antonio and expected to play the same way. It's just odd. And thats why he's going to find next season really hard if he doesn't work out how to fix his own thought patterns. He really has to let go and bring some other brains into the mix. Hopefully he gets lucky with rice replacement and finds a way to solve things. But I will not be surprised if we get battered for the first month of next season."

Re: Moyes Out
"I'm not sure what factors come in to play when he judges whether a player is good or not? Being able to take a free kick or corner, being good in the air, being prepared to run your bollocks off with zero service? It certainly doesn't matter if you can't pass the ball, you still get to to start every game"
Re: Moyes Out
"We know Moyes is here next season and we have to swallow that after he has won us 3 consecutive ventures into European football. We have to because he has without doubt achieved a lot in a short space of time even if the way we do it isn't palatable to a lot of fans. so thinking about this. My biggest gripe about Moyes is his dithering and bad signings to suit his awful tactics. But his tactics achieve results and after some recent disclosures through reliable sources that some of those disaster signings weren't actually Moyes' signings, I analysed the lists. I guess that we'd credit Moyes for signing teh likes of Benrahma, Bowen, Soucek, Coufal, Dawson, Areola, Zouma, Kehrer, Emerson, Paqueta and Lingard although some may have been Sullivan punts I think they were mostly Moyes signings. Under the Indifferent category (some not worked out fully yet but may tune out to be good) I put - Downes, Cornet, Scamacca, Ings, Randolph and going back Evra and Jao Mario loans. Which players there did Moyes sign and which ones did Sullivan sign I wonder? Of the simply bad signings that were a complete waste of time and money go Kral, Hugill and Vlasic. Were they all Sullivan punts do you reckon? I do and I wonder how much better would the squad have been if Moyes had been given range to sign better players? Under the bad signings"

Re: Moyes Out
"I'm not so fussed about a replacement as we would find one from somewhere, but I didn't know he's a Roma fan, so yup letting him go there might not be the smartest. I get the risk of him being shit there, but I'm not so worried about that as I believe it's pretty unlikely. I just want our fucking manager to utilise the guy properly. It's really not too much to ask. It's embarrassing how poorly we did it with Haller and Scamacca."

Re: Moyes Out
I don't favour the loan because it means we won't get any money to bring in a decent replacement for next season and Scamacca is a Roma fan so if he does well the odds of him wanting to come back after a year are minimal while if he does shit then his value will plummet.

Re: Moyes Out
"I would hate for us to get rid of him, because I really think he's full of star potential and will go on to be a very good player. If two of our strikers want to leave because of the manager then the owner really has to smell the coffee, to an extent. Interesting you don't favour a loan because I think it makes quite a lot of sense for all parties concerned, particularly if as I expect Moyes doesn't last the season and he can come back and play for someone who understands how to use him."

Re: Moyes Out
If true then I think the club's stance on this is correct. Italian clubs don't have a huge amount of money to spend on players and they like to use the loan system. We should either keep him and try and find a way to get the best out of him or sell him and use the money to bring in another forward that more suits our system. A straight loan without an obligation doesn't do much for us imo.

Re: Moyes Out
"I see we are refusing to loan Scamacca out according to the papers. Not sure if that means we are intending to keep him, or if we only want to sell. If the player doesn't want to play for Moyes then I fail to see the point in keeping him. What a shame if we just sell him. I'd have thought a loan would be ideal. He gets to play for a manager who can actually use him properly and bags some goals for a decent team, we can either bring him back next season under a new manager that knows how to play a way where he can flourish, or his sale value goes up during the season. Don't understand how another season of either riding the bench or being forced to play like Antonio is going to be good for anyone."

Re: Moyes Out
"Getting rid of Scamacca and Ings but relying on a 34 year old Antonio (who himself wants out) is absolutely bizarre. He showed some signs towards the end of the season but he can hardly complete a whole 90 before he is blowing out his arse. Expect us to have him as a lone striker at the start of the season and the search for an ""out and out"" striker that fits Moyes strategy to go on...."
