"For what it's worth I'll always be a Moyes fan, the last few years have been wonderful. But if his race is run then so be it. I know the Tena ladies want Allardyce back but if Moyes does go then I'd like to see someone like Lopetegui come in, he is currently without a club. But it will be a sad day for me when Moyes goes but yes today was pretty abject."

Moyes just said how sad he is remembering Bill Kenwright and that he had a great deal of success in his eleven years at Everton. Could one of the Moyes in bum boys point me to what he won in his eleven years cos I can't find fuck all.

"I feel today v Everton Moyes football will be like masturbating with sand paper, you'll get satisfied in the end but it's painful getting there. I could be wrong and we totally shine today with slick passing. Problem with Moyes is he's found out. We did have success with the 6 and 7 finishes but now slowly we're on a downward spiral with better players and the tactics are the same and players."

"Stubbo 9:27 Sun Oct 29 ''Yes we've had relative success based on the club's historical standing'' Relative success? Three seasons in Europe, two top 7 finishes and our first trophy in 43 years is relative success based on our history? I reckon you need a history lesson son, because that is not 'relative' success by an chalk, regardless of your views on Moyes. And who exactly, to your horror, exactly is defending his tactics and football?"

"Moyes is the weakest element of the squad. That means when assessing an upgrade, he should be first in line. Good managers make teams better than the sum of their parts. Bad managers seem to make good players look like they're being 'held back'. Even in winning it seems pretty clear which Moyes is. Really struggle to understand how given the scale of our spending in recent times and the evolution of the game how anyone can defend the tactics and football Moyes churns out. Yes we've had relative success based on the club's historical standing, but he should be judged on the players at his disposal and what he's getting out of them....not on what previous managers managed to do with David Speedie, Freddie Piquionne or Radoslav Kovac."

"Yea, Ange is a very impressive bloke, just a shame that lot got him. I remember when he was asked how much of a blow it would be to lose Kane, when it looked like he would go, he basically shrugged his shoulders and said he couldn't give a fuck if he stays or not, and he's been proved right. Celtic fans were in awe of him and they ain't always easily pleased. Don't feel like we missed out as such though, as we were never going to get him for various reasons, with the main one of course being we weren't sacking Moyes."

Its frustrating. Last season was great for the cup win but anyone with our squad and money spent should be winning that. We spent most of last season battling relegation in the PL and playing some god awful football. We could just as easily have lost the Cup Final and been relegated with one or two more 'off' performances and it would have felt like one of the most miserable seasons since Avram Grant. However: Credit in the Bank = going nowhere any time soon Spending 500M on statement signings says we want to go places. Employing Moyes as a manager and approaching games the way we do suggests otherwise. What we really need is Sullivan to sell up Nothing will materialy change here until that happens.

"""Big opportunity missed with Postecoglou"" I said on here last season he's one we should definitely go for when Moyes should've been sacked last October, a few on here, including the journo (he'll remember!) let's just say were far from positive about the fellas management skills. He's just showing what a positive mindset and set up can do to a bunch of good players. Spurs were dogshit last season, played similar negative cսnt football as us, but look at them now. We missed a massive chance not getting someone else in a year ago"

"Jay - that Ings change was flipping ridiculous. His view of changing things is just putting players in who are shot of confidence, and into exactly the same formation. No wonder Ings looks shit as he's nearly always on his own. I can't see how any serious football manager can't recognise that Ings works best in a 2. Moyes is a tactical moron, and he just comes out with 'most people would look at that team and think it was good enough to win'. I don't totally disagree with that but the total lack of tactical awareness from Moyes was what lost us that game. He's just blaming the players as usual. I don't wish him ill as a person, but he is taking us backwards and just won't change now."

"Not so long ago we dreampt of a top six finish, no longer. Newcastle, spuds and Villa have all brought in managers far superior to moyes particularly Villa. Emery is providing the type of football and entertainment we have longed for and he has only been there a year! Steidten was a significant part of the puzzle but moyes fell out with him during the last transfer window. Sad thing is moyes will always overule the guy as he picks the team and determines the tactics (what tactics?). In the last two matches we have been abysmal, even moyes publicly said the Villa game was poor and we must make changes for the Europe match so he brought in Ings! In fairness to Ings everyone was crap! Surely the board cannot allow moyes to remain in charge for the next transfer window, do they want to lose Steidten?"

"There was a time not so long ago with Moyes where I was looking forward to every game. I'd love those times to return, but can't see it happening under him. Big opportunity missed with Postecoglou - can't recall if he was ever approached or even interested, but he is setting up in exactly the way I'd want to see us. No fans can seriously want to see low possession defensive football week in week out."
