Re: Moyes Out
I think our 1 saving grace could be Steidten Whether Moyes likes it or not Steidten is effectively his boss. If Steidten sees that we cannot arrest this rapid decline in the Prem form he will surely go to Sullivan and tell him a change must happen We simply cannot be going in to January with Moyes getting a hard on for Maguire et al. Remit for a new coach would be to look at playing players in their right positions and obviously having no baggage over favourites which Moyes clearly has

Re: Moyes Out
"Manuel, it's hardly your place to decide if a supporter is a cսnt for wanting better leadership of team matters""¶.the price of a season ticket makes it almost a right to demand better even if that means looking at the bigger picture and West Ham losing is probably the only way this problem is looked at by those that make the decisions. Unless you can think of another way?"
Re: Moyes Out
"stepney hammer 12:42 Sun Nov 5 I think you've nailed it. The harsh reality is that we will have to write this season off and risk losing some of the decent players. Being blunt, Moyes doesn't have the psychological balance to be the manager we need, his insecurity means he cannot learn or accept he doesn't know everything. This manifests itself in defensiveness and unwillingness to ask for help or ideas from others although I did see Billy McKinley is now being consulted on subs But he and or his team don't have tge understanding or know how or experience to play the way most teams now play and his transfer dealings prove it as he doesn't recruit players with pace and technique Soucek, Antonio, Benrahma, Coufal, Ings all not up to the standards needed to play in the first 11 imo. Squad members or impact subs at best and that's a stretch for most of them. Antonio and Ings are done at this level and Soucek and Benny are atrocious"

"And it proves that you bite too easily and take yourself and an internet forum way too seriously. Now dry your tears and worry yourself about something that is actually important in life and not a bunch of multi millionaires kicking a bag of leather about. Oh, and for the record, it's been said on here a few times that people would sacrifice a result to get this arrogant man out of our football club, so there's a few ''cunts'' about and yes some that go over there too, amazingly."

Re: Moyes Out
"greenie - I've always maintained that, I'm sure that the European runs have kept him in a job. For a club that has hardly been in Europe throughout it's history it would look, for the want of a better word, a bit strange to then sack the manager who has gone against the grain and not only got us into Europe, but progressed too. And off we go again on Thursday, players who look weak in the PL will look good and we will likely win and everything will be OK again. I'm sick of it, fuck it, I hope the Greeks beat us."

Getting a bit misty eyed at the memory of people suggesting THE COWLEYS on here a few years back

Re: Moyes Out
"Stevethehammer 12:14 Sun Nov 5 The obvious option who is immediately available is Potter. So I guess ask yourself if you're happy with that replacement. For me it's a yes and I would make the change now. Also have to bear in mind this current ownership has never spent money on compensation to get another manager out of a club. Always appointed those that are currently out of work. I don't think Sullivan is concerned about paying off Moyes contract, after all there is only 6-7 months left on it. I think he won't do it because he doesn't want the criticism off pundits and journos that would question how you can sack a manager who won the clubs first trophy and delivered 6th and 7th finishes etc. He's probably hoping he can just get through to the end of the season and make out like both sides agreed mutually not to extend the arrangement further. Which makes him a coward and means that unless Moyes is able to pull off another trophy (which will be a lot harder this time around) were going to have a really shit remainder of the season."

Re: Moyes Out
"I want Moyes out and have been shouting from the rooftops for it to happen. However, who would you replace him with. There has to be someone that will take the shackles off straight away and get the best out of players such as Bowen, Kudus and Paqueta, rather than hoping and praying that the likes of Soucek will get on the end of a corner. We need a whole fucking reset and a good clear out, starting with Antonio."
Re: Moyes Out
"Just read some of Moyes post match views; ""Half-time was big for us,""ù said Moyes, whose side have dropped into the bottom half. ""Coming out it was really important we got the third goal. If we'd have been defensively strong we'd have got opportunities. We didn't stop Brentford getting momentum. They keep you under pressure. We're not talking about anything weird and wonderful. If I'd been a player I'd have been disgusted with myself.""ù He should be disgusted with himself as he is the manager. Fucking hell!"

Re: Moyes Out
"It's becoming an open secret that Moyes, barring a disastrous run, will see this season out as contracted. By any measure of Moyes time here he has not done badly when compared with our other managers of the EPL era. However the game has moved on and our owners look at clubs within our peer group and see the likes of Howe, Emery, Farke etc. getting better performances from their squads than Moyes does. The question is who will replace Moyes bearing in mind us fans won't want a like for like replacement."
Re: Moyes Out
Moyes has to go if the season is not going to crumble away to another PL season below half way. Struggle or fail to beat Olympiacos and there goes European football and the money that comes from it too. When Sullivan refused to sack Moyes last season it was because there were no alternatives available to avoid relegation This isn't now about survival in the PL. We are on the verge of building a great side here but Moyes is in danger of holding the club back now. Another mediocre season and Kudus and Paqueta possibly Bowen will get tempted away and we'd be back to surviving in the PL again... Does anyone see the board pulling the trigger though?
Re: Moyes Out
"Where does Moyes overall win/loss ratio sit in all time West Ham managers? Must be down there surely, despite him having the biggest cash bounty as well. Reason he causes so much emotion amongst fans is despite the results (and regardless of what he might suggest about changing playing style) he has one approach. The same thing he did at Everton all that time ago. He doesn't deserve to be around the prem. should go to the championship where attritional football still works. In saying that he'd probably get one of the better teams and struggle with the ball""¶ Enough is enough for him at West Ham though. It will tarnish the European win if he carries on, it that he can see that"

Re: Moyes Out
The thread descended into mindless bickering. Locking it for a while as a cooling off warning seems sensible enough. Thread was locked for a while to cool off it no longer was about Moyes it was about posters fighting each other .
