Re: Moyes Out
I would say the problems we have are mostly made by Moyes. Playing Europe every Thursday. Having so many internationals in the side. Having Bowen get into England and getting injured. Being successful in the Carabao. Not having the right striker. Playing Ings. Relying on Antonio. Not blooding youths. We're going to have Africa Nations problems in Jan. We're a couple more injuries away from trouble. That said he's our most successful Premier league permanent manager and got us that European trophy.

Re: Moyes Out
look back at the last couple of years of wins and ask yourself how many games we would have lost had the managers been reversed? not many i'd imagine.

"""Every league game is random"" I wouldn't say every match. There are at least 6 games which are basically written off as you know we're guaranteed to get 0 points."

Re: Moyes Out
"I think Moyes has been good for the club overall, but more from a stability point of view. I do think we are a better run club off the field. I think the issue with Moyes for me is how he see's West Ham. He still thinks it's a club that needs rescuing. So his targets are mentally mid table and if he can get us up to European places we should be grateful. But he doesnt factor in how much money is being spent and how much time he had to use the resources effectively. He doesnt really benchmark us against other sides with less resource. So there's just this massive disconnect with some of the fans and his view of things. He goes into games against Burnley as if they are tight battles that we should be happy to get a result from. In reality we should be destroying teams like that in our sleep. Its normally never in doubt when a top 6/7 side go to a bottom table side. But with us, especially in the last 18 months I cannot predict with any confidence ANY game we have unless it's a European fixture. Every league game is random. I just dont think it's sustainable. The unpredictability of a Moyes team nowadays means it's hard to invest in him. You dont really know what you're going to get. Is he going to use the player properly? The sum does not equal the parts with Moyes. It's all a bit sad really. As I think if he would just let go of some of his ways and maybe stick to more of the man management stuff he'd be fine. But the guy just cant let go of his ways. A mini-Fergusson without the self-awareness is how I'd describe him. Thats what it looks like from over here anyways."

"Sir Alf 12:29 Mon Nov 27 I totally agree with everything you say here Sir Alf. A well versed and clear post. No death threats, no, my dad is bigger than your dad. Just sense. Doffs cap"
Re: Moyes Out
"Rossal 11:15 Mon Nov 27 Agree with most of what you say. Moyes will be hopefully remembered as a good interim manager that established us more firmly in the Premiership and got us a European trophy. He simply lacks the know-how - and probably willingness to risk the change - to fully adopt a style of play, tactics etc that would see us pass at speed, play thru the press, press relentlessly ourselves, stretch the opposition with attacking overloads and moreover try to dominate possession and tge opposition. It takes a full understanding of the type of players needed, developing them to play a certain way ( front foot / movement ) , supreme fitness and a whole sea change in the training. To be fair to Moyes, I can see he is encouraging us to keep the ball more but due to that lack of know how and hence fear of committing 100% to it, it's ""half baked""ù at best and seems to have weakened us defensively but not brought the attacking rewards. We just pass it around at the back and into midfield but with no cutting edge as it breaks down or simply fizzles out in the final third. But the simple facts imo or as I see it is that his first 18 months ( COVID season and up to Xmas next season ) was effective with his low block, sit deep/keep the shape and direct counter system. Teams then cottoned onto it and since then our league form has been poor to mediocre. In Europe teams are not used to playing his system ( Moyesball) and that has made us effective in those competitions. Steidten is the key because recruitment is critical and continued investment but if we want to try and progress to being a regular top 8 side or even getting top 6 or better it will take a different style of play and players. If people / fans think Moyes can do that then we stick with him but the vast majority I think know he cannot change his approach and doesn't know how to anyway. In short, manager has to change. A risk of course as it will mean a transition and getting the right person along with the right players since we are short of 3 or 4 imo. The frustration is impatience and having to wait and then seeing the same intransigence from Moyes playing players out of position, favouring certain players, not trying youth prospects for a few mins, not giving players like Cornet and Downes a least a few minutes in their correct positions before essentially writing them off."

Re: Moyes Out
"*you've* *don't share* willgrass, are you compiling a dossier? I've told you before, if you don't want negative attention stay the tuck away from me. I don't hurl abuse at anyone on here that doesn't bring it on, so start your Moyes In thread and keep off this one"
Re: Moyes Out
This is the big problem with the internet. It gives a voice to simpletons like you Talkshite Miike. You're a pub bore in years gone by but talk big on here. I want Moyes gone too. The only difference is I want it done respectfully although I won't cry if he's sacked tomorrow. I just wonder how you justify abusing others while playing the victim card about sick abusers who support Moyes. There's fuck all difference you soppy old sod!

"You be had far too much attention from me. I answer back to mouthy, argumentative cunts like you so stop with the victim bollocks, which you pull every time someone dares reply. As I said before, start a Moyes In thread and then you won't get in arguments with people that went share your weird ideas about football"
Re: Moyes Out
Sorry Talkshite Miike but I have to laugh at your post. Every other post of yours is hurling abuse at posters that see things differently to you. Why do you feel so entitled to differentiate your abuse from pro-Moyes supporters? I happen to agree with you about Moyes though remember.

Re: Moyes Out
"""in the good old days before Moyes we would have lost to bottom of the league Burnley who hadn't won at home all season"" In the good ol days of Moyes first two seasons we would have gone there and wiped the floor with them 2 or 3 nil. All his good stats etc are mainly due to the first two seasons. For the best part of 2 years now we have been dogshit in the league. Questionable team selections constantly, man management is shit, negative awful tactics, no style of play, no plan B, not bringing the youth through We all know he won't stay so why wait till the end of the season, the only reason I can see is the replacement TIm's lining up won't leave till the summer"

Re: Moyes Out
"I doubt there's a manager out there that would lose to Burnley with our players and wouldn't have had us playing better, so no I definitely wouldn't bet my house on it. I keep reading he makes us hard to beat he wins games... We've won our last two league games and still lost 25 out of our last 51, his record is pretty shit and if it were a lot better and he was getting great results it would be hard to argue but he isn't. The games we win are normally against poor teams who outplay us but we win because we have some quality in our team which they don't like Saturday when we were completely outplayed but two bits of brilliant play won the game. No way are we getting outplayed like that against teams with more quality and still being in it with 5 minutes to go unless they're having a mare in front of goal and we're lucky. We allow teams so many chances."

Re: Moyes Out
"Side of Ham 7:57 Sun Nov 26 ""I just want East London to be represented playing better football, West Ham United has always been the best club in a position to do that"" Genuine question: When we were playing ""good football"" in the good old days before Moyes we would have lost to bottom of the league Burnley who hadn't won at home all season. You could've put your house on it Is this what you'd prefer? Moyes' ""shit football"" obviously wins games."
