Re: Moyes Out
We will lose out best players because Moyes is simply not open to working with that kind of talent.

"We shouldn't be played off the park by the likes of Burnley, having to rely on a last minute goal, swindon. That kind of thing."

Re: Moyes Out
Lee Trundle. Agree that we should be more positive in our play and the fans deserve to entertained. So take the style of play out of the equation for a minute as I think we are all agreed on that part. I have asked this question to others and not got a definitive answer so will ask you as you said for the money we have spent we should be doing better. Over the past 5 years we are 8th in the Premier league for Net Spend. This season we are currently 9th. So when you say the results should be better where do you think we should be with this group of players?

"Russ Spurs haven't won anything and we're just behind them in the league Expansive and entertaining football Yep, that would be nice Attacking / Positive mentality We are scoring and winning games Top six club competing for European spots annually It's not where our spend is. New owners could take us there Academy players coming through annually I'd like that Intent on winning all trophies entered We were semi finalists and winners of the two Euro comps. Man City win most other things."

"That pretty much covers it Russ. We are an established top-flight club in the world's most competitive league attracting the best in the world so: ability to bring the most out of world-class players and adapt to their requirements and being ready to take on board and develop the latest, cutting edge approaches would also be basic job requirements."

Re: Moyes Out
"BRANDED 4:16 Mon Nov 27 'Forward' to me looks like: Expansive and entertaining football Attacking / Positive mentality Top six club competing for European spots annually Academy players coming through annually Intent on winning all trophies entered Under Levy, Spurs have got themselves in the mix every season and are, generally, always there or thereabouts. That's where I see that we need to be. Moyes is too reliant on keeping expectations to a minimum and, as far as I am concerned, too happy with a reliance on the supporters being 'grateful'. He doesn't strive to improve. He strives to maintain his status within the game. Moyes is scared of success. It bothers him. Because he knows it brings expectation. He can't handle expectation and he doesn't like being held accountable."

Re: Moyes Out
"Yep, and replaced him with players that would likely of stayed put were we not at a stadium that gets a huge attendance and is rightly looking upwards (we was doing that since the move prior to Moyes)""¶..at UP we looked for mid table as being a great season""¶..we've beat a transitional Chelsea who have lost (so far) more than they have won an Arsenal team in a cup that is the least of their concern""¶.so it's just Brighton that was the good result within football circles and many are questioning that as well for how good we played. When it's at their place in something they are up for in a cup then fair play (like the next round) but what is STILL the likely outcome? This is where we need better results""¶..not all the time just a couple each season like Brighton & Brentford seem to have in their locker""¶.then add that to the ""òteams we should beat' scrap""¶.let the club start to be a nuisance to these other big following clubs. The words ""òshould be' need to be replaced in our expectations""¶.that is what the move was for""¶."

Re: Moyes Out
"This season we have sold our superstar player. We have played mostly twice a week. Many of our players have gone away to play international games. We have played 19 games and won 11. The Chelsea, Arsenal and Brighton games were highlights. We will hopefully have won five in a row by the end of the weekend but...."

"threesixty 2:15 Mon Nov 27 I agree. For some time now team performance has lagged well behind the sum of the parts. We have, and have had, some really talented players. They come, they go, but somehow as a club we remain mediocre, uninspiring and stuck. Surely the only meaningful measure of a successful manager is to achieve consistent results where team performance exceeds the sum of the parts, not the other way round."

Re: Moyes Out
"Braindead, most our PL was spent at UP where it was a definitive leap from the crowds and club West Ham could be""¶..most our managers managed to those expectations and at times lower (much lower) was expected. Now as a club we expect a bigger attendance which will lead to wanting better football, you're whole outlook is based on UP expectations yet Moyes's budget is excellent and we have 3 or 4 players that would not be seen at UP instead of just the one star player. The club is obviously selling the club in a way that far exceeds your lowly expectations on the standard of football""¶.nearly half a billion to play low block because it gets a certain level of results against lowly teams? Do fuck off""¶."

"Supporters go to support. With a capacity of 62,000 its a lot of supporters which have different reasons to be there. Lots of family members. Everyone loves a win. Most games are nail biting. However. Moyes can only be as successful as he can be which is the most successful as he can be which is best West Ham has had in the premier league era."

Re: Moyes Out
"For the funds he's been given compared to previous managers even in inflation terms means he should be the best in winning games""¶..as for the cup win""¶..other clubs with 60,000+ attendances simply want a more competitive trophy win that was a breeze until the final""¶..that's what we've set our stall out as now""¶..a club that can attract big crowds""¶.Moyes wouldn't and hasn't been tolerated for long at those types of crowd at other clubs who get that size of following. The club chose to make that big step by the way""¶.it's down to them to supply a better style of football from the shit that is served up now""¶."

BRANDED 3:43 Mon Nov 27 It's quite clear. Moyes has been good for the club but he's not the man to take us forward right now.

Re: Moyes Out
"threesixty 2:15 Mon Nov 27 Very good post. I think you've nailed it on how a lot of fans feel. It sums it up for how I feel. Things really are so unpredictable with Moyes now. Coupled with the frustration of how good we could be playing with a more progressive manager. And you are right. It's not sustainable. And we are seeing that now because, to the outsider, one look at the table and they say ""Oh, West Ham are doing ok"". But we know that the devil is in the detail. We know Moyes shortcomings and we know that he is incapable of changing. Moyes and the fans are on different pages and have different objectives. He's happy to sit mid-table and for us to be grateful for that. We're not grateful for mid-table and rightly or wrongly we want more. And we want to be entertained. It's just such a dis-connect and it will never heal. Seeing us limping to a lucky win at Burnley is great for the 3 points. A late winner is always welcome relief no matter what. But, truth of the matter is, our league form has been poor to average since December 2021 and Moyes won't change that because, as you rightly say, under him our form is so inconsistent and unpredictable."

""" I think it's perfectly obvious that Moyes is not the man who cometh for this moment at the club."" Even though he's our most successful manager of the Premier league era with the best win percentage and three seasons of Europe with a semi final and a win. ???"

Re: Moyes Out
"There are two kinds of people - those who are open to reality and those who are not. Those who are not may be successful in very specific, emergency circumstances of what they have to offer is exactly what is required for survival in the very short term. However, those who are open to reality offer a far wider range of skills and can take an already well-equipped and resourced operation forward. I think it's perfectly obvious that Moyes is not the man who cometh for this moment at the club."
