Re: Moyes Out
"As i've mentioned before since Lyon away we have been for me.... in decline. Since that moment Moyes has taken us backwards both in terms of league position, quality of football and style of play whilst spending a fortune. There hasn't been any progression equal to the expectation based on the money spent and the players brought in. After Lyon away, we won 1 league game the rest of the season, a win away to already relegated Norwich. We also lost a semi-final we were more than capable of winning Last season we lost 20 out of 38 league games and finished with a GD of -13 For the people that are a fan of Moyes, do you not think we should be doing better and looking better than we are now or have done in the league for the best part of 18 months?"
Re: Moyes Out
"If you've got to start leaning on fucking win percentages then that tells you the story doesn't it? Fucking mogadon Moyesball is just tiresome to watch. That is the main reason for football to exist - enterFUCKINGtainment. Even wins feel like losses under Moyes, such is the joyless nature of our play. All you Moyes in types need to sort your fucking lives out."

"We play Stoke 2010 football, the difference being they had Rory Delap, Jon Walters & Kenwyn Jones, we're doing it with Lucas Paqueta, Mo Kudus & Jarred Bowen."

Re: Moyes Out
Alf We've won almost all our European games. We got a semi final and a win. We are currently on a 46% win ratio in the league that might be 50% after the weekend. None of this is important if you want more exciting football for 90 minutes every game.
Re: Moyes Out
"What's the win, draw and lose ratio in the league since Dec 2021 ? It's the trajectory that matters imo. And in the league it's been downward to inconsistent since the time teams cottoned onto Moyesball ? I found. E wrong though so would be interesting to see the stats excluding the European games where teams had not worked out his to negate the set pieces and our low block approach"

Re: Moyes Out
"You can chose an period you like but if you're comparing with other West Ham managers then you could, in theory, say he's pir most successful manager in the Premier league era. We all know the football could be more entertaining for the full 90 minutes not just the last 5 minutes."
Re: Moyes Out
"Forget the money spent argument, with the squad we have we should be doing better How many league defeats we had since the start of last season? Its about double what it should be......unforgiveable With the squad we have we should be doing better then the negative anti football low block 30% possession shit we are served up most weeks relying on late goals to beat the likes of Burnley and Olympiakos. We also shouldn't be watching the likes of Ings and Soucek week in week out and not seeing any progress of the youth or players like Cornet and Fornals not given any mins when its clearly free to do so with a hectic december coming up"

Re: Moyes Out
"So you're going to cherry pick seasons and ignore his overall record. We can all do that how does his last 2 years look? How did he save us from relegation, he did no better than Pellegrini without the handicap of Roberto in goal and he had the addition of Bowen and Soucek. We were in a worse position last season than we were with Pellegrini... Why does anyone think it was a given that we would have gone down then when we didn't last season."

Re: Moyes Out
In his second tenure 20 season 19 won 5 20-21 38 won 19 21-22 38 won 16 22-23 38 won 11 23-24 13 won 6 147 played won 57 Ratio 38.8 % I did say the first tenure was shit but he did eventually save us from relegation.
Re: Moyes Out
I see that C&H have taken to bigging up Moyes win percentages as best of all our managers. Of course that is based on including all the Europa cup games where we kept up a winning streak against minnows for 2 and a bit seasons. The real measure of Moyes is his win percentage in the PL where I noticed that they published he had 173 games and won 65 of them. I was puzzled by that as I had actually worked it out for another thread and it was correct on games played but only 60 games won NOT 65.- Willtell 3:43 Mon Nov 27 Re: ‚öΩ Burnley v West Ham - Official Match Thread Not quite correct BRANDED. I worked it out from actual games played under Moyes management. In season 2017/18 Moyes managed only 27 games of which 8 were wins. - 29.6% win %age. He returned 29/12/19 for 19 games of which he won only 5 - for a low win %age of just 26.3%. 2020/21 season 19 wins - 50% win %age 2021/2022 season 16 wins - 42.1% win %age 2022/23 season 11 wins - 28.9% win %age. 2023/2 season 6 wins -from 13 games - 46.15% win %age. Overall PL win %age is 34.68% with 60 wins from 173 games. ------------------------------------

"Two left feet wins the most intelligent comment of the day with ""fuck off to Newcastle and support them""ù It's like any of us have a choice, these Moyes inners can see no negatives in Moyes."

"Time for you to move on you big girls blouse. Watching other teams and being envious, fuck off to Newcastle and support them üëã"
Re: Moyes Out
"Newcastle, watched them tonight and wished how (pun intended) we could be more like them. But they have that progressive coach who is not afraid to play attacking football, use youth and have his entire team/squad on the same page. We have old players who have not been any good for nearly 2 years,no youth,no effective rotation and no players progressing. We have a few players that believe 8n his system but they wouldn't be playing under a manager like Howe. Time to move on as Moyes won't take us any further."
Re: Moyes Out
"Fair enough swindon. I said it with a smile on my face anyway. The point is though that we can and should dream of CL football and doing a Leicester (not their implosion). I still do but I am certain it isn't going to happen under Moyes""¶"

Re: Moyes Out
"Willtell, Anything football related From the 70s/80s/90s I can reel off by memory for most clubs. I was obsessed by football when I was younger and would watch and read anything. With age I am losing a lot of things but my memory isn't one of them! My point stands though. Even taking Moyes out of the equation we are never going to constantly finish in the top 5 and regularly qualify for the champions league unless we get near unlimited funds like a Chelsea or Man City have done. No other club has done that without those unlimited funds or as Miike implied an unfair advantage. It's possible on occasion but not consistently."
