"This result was inevitable at some point. When your plan is to sit back and try to nick a goal you will eventually implode. That and the fact that we are slow on the ball, slow off it and don't press. Moyes has such a strange mindset. We won thur because we tried to play after half time and we're more direct, yet next game we do what we did in the first half against spurs and gave up the ball. Moyes interview suggesting tiredness and lots of games etc etc. Can't wait until he's gone, we are so bad to watch regardless of results. Absolute dinosaur versus a proper coach today. Embarrassing"

Few more like that and he should be out. Don[t listen to the reasoning though. Managers decide if they want to publicaly chew out the side of try to keep confidence going or make an excuse and address it behind closed-doors. Games like this just add to the reasons to move him on in the summer though.

Where are Joyo and Two today ? Still backing Moyes ? Have you listened to Moyes reasoning for the defeat. ? blaming tiredness from playing Thu/Sun. WTF every team has played 3 games in 8 days. he never rotates through the course of the season unless he has to or makes subs to give the players a bit of rest. How he has the audacity to go on TV and state that. he should resign

So tactically brilliant the two players he brought into the side today got substituted at half time But it's all about the results not the performances apparently so another triumph for our greatest ever manager

"Willtell 8:54 Sat Dec 9 Re: Moyes Out FOMB - yet another point flies above your head. I'm not saying criticism of level of entertainment football is unfair. I'm not even saying that it shouldn't be better given what the spend has been over the past couple of years - or even that we should make a change at the end of the season. I'm saying the tactics and setup Moyes employs has delivered a degree of success that's backed up by data over his spell here including a cup win and the highest win percentage of any manager we've had that's been in charge for more than a few games. If you're trying to look at it rationally you can't just pretend that the win percentage doesn't count or that when we win it's because of luck or the players and when we lose it's because of Moyes. If you are going to blame him when you don't like him he also gets credit for things like the second half on Thursday. You also can't dismiss the win percentage claiming it's been padded by easy euro games when all managers have easier games, including with us, spells in a lower division where we were basically the biggest fish there."

"If you grew up watching Devonshire and Brooking it's difficult to to stomach Moyes, i'll bin him before the Fulham match but he'll be here til the season ends. Brooking wouldn't even make the subs under Moyes at least Dev could run with the ball."

"""I totally get why people like this low risk, middle of the table stuff"" I don't. It's not football, and you've got simpletons like Northern Spurs who fucking HOUNDED Allardyce for the style of football, yet he's jumped 8n bed with a manager who's 'style' is even worse, with a half billion pound squad. Our football is fucking atrocious, but it's loved by quite a few of the stream watchers who haven't even been to a West Ham game in their lives, makes it a bit more palatable no doubt."

"Queens Fish Bar 9:05 Sat Dec 9 Exactly this - the football is tolerated and raved about by the media like Moyes has turned us into something we shouldn't expect to be. We are a very low possession team oozing with talented players that have to play like League Two players and apparently we should be grateful for it. I totally get why people like this low risk, middle of the table stuff rather than the relegation battles and the European football masks how drab performances can be. I'd rather we don't wait until the good technical players we have in the first and youth teams have moved on before we look to take the next step and have a team which can take control of matches. These current tactics and constraints will only take you so far."

"So I ask you to quote the unfair criticism of Moyes and you can't. I ask you to name all the trophies Moyes won and yet you can't. So you respond with insults after talking shit about Moyes that was groundless crap. Not like a septic to talk shit about ""òsoccer' is it?"

"I wouldn't be devastated if Moyes moved on at the end of the season, with a decent replacement. But rightfully the board aren't going to kick him out mid-season. Like many I went into the season thinking we were going to be awful, but Moyes and team have done better than expected. Some of the criticism is ridiculous though. They want to blame him for everything that goes wrong and give hi zero credit when it goes right. His record in the game clearly means it's not all luck. I suppose I'd rather be sitting here in a decent league position, picking up points, and asking why we can't keep the ball a bit longer or be more entertaining than getting pissed off every weekend because we keep losing. The entertaining football, losing 4-3 thing is also a bit of a Myth though, because even when we've managed it for a while more physical, counter-attacking sides do to us what we did to Brighton and you end up sliding down the league."

"Good question Capitolman I think we were very very lucky to only be one down at HT so he had fortune there. He did effect a change at HT though with the players pressing far better and that combined with Spurs tiring from Angepissedhimself's gung ho possession game led us to make chances and again some luck to score twice. On a side note, perhaps Moyes sit deep, low block and low passing / movement model is leading to us having far fewer injuries ( lots of hamstrings ) than other teams? Not a deliberate thing but like many things in life the whole unintended benefit thing ? :-)"

Miike... you really comparing the Walrus with Moyes?? Come on... I'm a easy bloke to please.... yeah it's nice getting points in the league but all I have ever asked is that every West Ham manager gives the cups a go... do you think we would have had that glorious day in the summer under that Odobenus rosmarus cսnt?? You might as well be comparing Musuaka and Soucek... Yeah under Allardyce I fucking HATES football... I HATED him when he was at Bolton... I HATED him at the Bumpers and I HATED him when he was with us... we lost all identity and it was not the club I loved anymore... that bloke was a club killing imposter... but yeah you are right... I did MOAN about him... Guilty as charged.

"So did Moyes just deliver a fantastic 2-1 win away to Spurs, outwitting the managerial favourite of the first three months of the year with some tactical switches at half time - or was it just lucky and the players that won it despite Moyes?"

"""Yet... Moan moan moan Soucek.... moan moan moan Paq.... moan moan moan moan moan moan.... fucking moan..."" you must have amnesia. that was you for four fucking years under allardyce. another manager that didn't get given £450m+ to build a squad with 500+ international caps that are instructed to play like stoke circa 2010"

Yeah quality comparison...
