Moyes Out ( Released )
"Posted the same last year. Nothing has changed, except win don't win matches anymore. I'm fed up, we can do much better"
Re: Moyes Out
"From what I can tell its the ones that just look at the results / highlights that seem to he happy with moyes. Actually sitting through the shit like Everton, palace etc where its juat so fucking slow and negative seems to be a different story. I could be wrong"

Re: Moyes Out
"Nothing re Moyes have changed in my views evev after the Arsenal win. It was a good win, but a fickin6lucky one. 22% of the ball, 30 shots against and a record reaking 77 touches within our box says it all really. Defensive style of football IS Moyes, and that will never change. Personally I hate it, and I'm ok if others don't agree. Still hoping for this cսnt to leave."
Re: Moyes Out
"Blimey I've just been reading Kumb and he's being compared to Ferguson, Robson and Shankley... On the back of winning against one of the original big four on his 73rd fucking attempt I enjoyed yesterday's performance it's not how I'd choose to see us play, but we did it well it came off..."

Re: Moyes Out
"As per many of the comments below for a lot of our fans it is a difficult one. Yes the football could and in most cases should be better and I have no issue in the fans who do pay good money to go and watch the team play wanting a more ""expansive style""ù of football from a different manager. At the end of the day though the majority of fans care about results over style. Watch the videos of the fans at the Arsenal game last night and the Tottenham game a few weeks ago. No one there or the majority at home watching were caring about possession stats. It was all about the joy of the victories. Same thing against Fiorentina back in June."
Re: Moyes Out
"Vexed - thought we were pals?! Alright then you drama queen dick sniffer. What manager, outside of the billion pound owners club, has ever had prolonged success with any club in the prem? I'm not out the woodwork. I've always supported Moyes. I've tolerated your ""Rice is shit"" bollocks, which magically morphed to ""Rice isn't that good"" to ""Rice isn't world class"" to ""Rice isn't better than Zidane"" car crash of a stance. I'll let you sit at home stroking shaft to Ze Zerbi, whilst I enjoy West ham having the most success of my lifetime. Admittedly, I'm not a zimmer frame dribbling cսnt, so maybe you remember better times than Moyes is bringing."
Re: Moyes Out
"Ludo, yep totally agree. With me I would prefer a better style of football and not having the lying down at Liverpool types of performances. I can take the odd hammering like at Fulham as every West Ham manager has had a few of those but the Liverpool game, whilst not expecting to win at Anfield was a total surrender. On the other hand last night was brilliant, everyone gave 110% and even if they had grabbed a 2-2 draw you could at least say every single player gave it their all. Same with me with the fear of the Pellegrini experiment that didn't work. Moyes has a trophy, most points at this stage of the season and has shown himself if anything that he ""can"" win away at places like Arsenal. If he can add a few and have a good relationship with Steidten going forward then maybe it's best to take the shit times for the good times like last night."
Re: Moyes Out
"Fair points, Wils. After Liverpool, I too was very much Moyes out, and I'd still love to see what a manager in the style of an Emery or a De Zerbi could do with this squad, or certainly the attacking element of it. I have no issue playing the style we did last night in certain games, but it's doing it at home against the likes of Everton, Palace, Burnley or whoever and not having an idea how to break them down that I really struggle with, and it shouldn't be so hard with these players. On balance, the risk averse move is to stick with but I do think another slow season next and we'll be back in the same boat of counter arguments among fans. I don't think it's unreasonable with the investment in squad that we have made to be expecting to be challenging higher up rather than being in a relegation battle as we were for much of last season. It is hard to argue against him getting another shot at least, if we maintain current league standing or thereabouts."
Re: Moyes Out
With wins over three of the big six (two away from home) Moyes must be in the conversation for manager of the month... despite the fact he's conceded five in a game twice!

Re: Moyes Out
"2.5 year contract being mentioned... Back in August I was desperate for Moyes to go... my primary issue with him was that it looked like he was going to waste the Rice money on Maguire and McTominay. Obviously that didn't happen... I would love to know if Moyes was set on that course and Steidten saved us but if that had happened it would have been disastrous. As better players come in our play has improved. As long as Steidten is also onboard and we can continue to attract top players then I can live with Moyes. Last night was absolutely fantastic. I was also worried that Moyes would piss off the players, especially players like Paqueta and Kudus. The players do seem though to have an amazing team spirit which must be, at least partly, down to the manager and his coaching team. Another appointment like Pelligrini could wreck everything so on balance, if we can continue to progress, however slowly, then I can live with Moyes."

"Moyes to sign a new two and a half year deal in the coming weeks. Angry dickhead twats, try and keep your whinging and bitching to this thread - makes it easier to know where to occasionally dip in for a laugh Thanks"

"You're just a fool Vexed, so bent on your out dated opinions being correct you are unable to see the wood for the trees."
Re: Moyes Out
"I get all the negatives. And I agree with nearly all of them. And that Wednesday night at Anfield I was so furious that I was ready to sign on the dotted line for membership of the Moyes Out club. But looking at the league position and the European successes of the previous years and the potential for more this year, the next level for us would be entering the elite and competing for Champions league places. That's everyones ambition, it's not unique to West Ham fans. But it's really fucking difficult to pull off. Man U are struggling to find a manager to keep them at that level with more resources and prestige than we have to offer. So I don't think binning Moyes is going to allow us to move on. However, there is the argument that we care more about the football we are paying to watch in terms of entertainment than we do about league position and trophies. I have more sympathy with this argument as although last night was a great win, it doesn't feel very West Ham and even feels its not quite in the spirit the game. But binning Moyes is no guarantee for entertaining football either. He isn't the first manager to not play The West Way so he won't be the last either. My preference is to keep looking out for the next level manager and in the meantime keep investing the extra income Moyes is getting us back into the club. A year or two more of Moyes should leave us in a position to make a more assured choice in who replace him with than we are able to do today."
Re: Moyes Out
"Forest Gate - see I don't get that, he threw a cup which I would have fancied us to win if we had got through.. But we win a league game a competition we can't win and unless it's the difference in us getting in Europa.. Wtf is the point... Or is that the limit of our ambition beating Arsenal and a few months bragging rights? Could have had a semi final on the horizon.. No way of knowing if we would have had, but at least we'd know had we tried .."

Re: Moyes Out
I was completely Moyes-Out after the Liverpool game. Now I'm completely Moyes-In. It's doing my head in but nights like last night will live long in the memory and maybe we'll only truly appreciate the dour old sod when he's gone.
Re: Moyes Out
Billy Jennings - if he did that it would be great but I have little faith in him not learning from his mistakes. We were in a much better position this time 2 years ago and his stubbornness is the transfer market led to flogging the team and costing us a possible path to Champions league through Europa and league... Also nearly 2 years of abysmal shit football which has worn a lot of us down.
Re: Moyes Out
"Players seem to like him and all seem to like rolling there sleeves a bit and getting stuck in . Also the way we play with less passes at the back our players express themselves more which under pep say for the likes of paqueta will be knocked out of them . Redknapp used to give up possession a lot , but it's an obsession now due to embarrassing stats. We have a team of warriors who can do the sublime and hurt you in seconds , I quite like it when it comes off , been some of the best matches under moyes over the last 30 years , but the flip side is we need to beat the lesser teams more and finally have quality to start to do this ,its coming just need consistency."

"Northern Sold 3:55 Fri Dec 29 Chief flip flopper is here! I wonder what he'll say if we lose to Brighton! We can all guess! Short term, clueless fucking idiots want Moyes to stay, they do t care that the football is shit or that we rarely try to win games. We can't progress playing football like cowards."

Re: Moyes Out
"BillyJenningsBoots, Yep I agree with that. Playing away at the likes of Arsenal & Tottenham is always really tough so I think the tactics we used in those games justify the means. We just need to be a bit more progressive against the mid and lower teams especially at home. The first half against Wolves is an example of what we can do. As far as results and league position we are doing absolutely fine. We have spent decent money but so have half the Premiership. Man Utd & Chelsea are proof that spending fortunes doesn't always guarantee success. Tottenham & Chelsea both finished outside the top 7 last season. We are 8th in the net spending table for the past 5 years. In that time we have had 2 top 7 finishes, a trophy and are currently 6th."
Re: Moyes Out
"I'm still Moyes out. Great result for the Teletext fans and pundits. I'm happy that we won. Despite the win it was clear Paqueta should have started and there is no way in the world it was a good idea to play him from the start. Those kind of injuries only get worse trying to runa nd play. That was our only sub thoiugh several players totally knackered. A wise sub would have been someone like Johnson coming on for Kudus to support Coufal and run at pace down the right. Kudus was looking at the bench to give him a rest. I fear a knackered Kudus on a plane for 12hrs to Joburg will need a full medical team to support him or he'll fall apart. i can see a result of Paqueta not getting any rest at the end of games has come back to haunt us. Now we have him missing a very knackered though buoyant other 12 playing against a higher intenisty Brighton. Squad rotation, subs and lack of youth minutes is still a big issue. The top 5 is not beyond anyone in the top 9 in the 2nd part of the season. Teams are beating each other and once you go on a run you can be up there in the top 5 before you know it..Both us and Man U have been miles away from the top 5 not a impossibilty.now. This season we've had a lot of luck with injuries, suspension and VAR/ref decisions. That could change easily. I still see no progression or proactive management from Moyes the football has been dire in the main. Results though have been good.I don't see him changing. Without Kudus and Paqueta and any squad the moyes out debate can change quickly again."
