Re: Moyes Out
"You have the traditional top 6 then Newcastle, Villa, Brighton and us, so that's 10 sides, so no I can't possibly see how any new manager is going to get us higher than where we are now. The problem as we know is the style of play and ambition, as said earlier all the best sides are attacking sides. No top side with any merit sets out to defend first and look to catch sides on the break, it's pretty unheard of in recent times for a side in the top 6 to play that way, totally goes against the grain of the modern game. You would think it must be unsustainable, but so far we seem to be ''getting away with it''? I suspect we will drop off a little second half of the season, we've been lucky with injuries so far which has helped a lot particularly when you bear in mind our back up players/squad is absolutely shit. Chelsea and Man Utd's bad situations have also obviously helped us get to our current position, without wanting to take too much away from Moyes and co, as 33 points at the halfway mark speaks for itself."

Re: Moyes Out
"I've wanted Moyes out at times, but overall and when i have my unemotional head on, not after a sickening loss!!! I can't see who realistically could come in and do a better job. Just take look at Moyes stats, 6th and 7th in the PL yes last season's PL form was woeful but we seem to be making up for that this season? In Europe now for 3 seasons in a row, a Cup win in one and semifinal in another and that's without anything this season, and then odds on the first loss should we get a new manger come in and we would have a new thread with whomever it is out...... Same goes for Sullivan and co, seems no matter what they do some will never be happy, all that bollocks some were spouting about not spending money in the summer and then look who we got in? Credit where its due to Moyes and Sullivan, i know that's not the done thing on WHO but fuck it, that's how i see it and fans of other teams all perplexed that some very vocal West Ham fans want maybe the most successful manger we have had in the PL era sacked. Bizzare really."

"daveyg 11:28 Sat Dec 30 ''Manuel.. still sore after I pointed your mistake out, pathetic'' Mistake?? You were he idiot that suggested Kudus would have to run to the other end of the pitch to celebrate with our fans when all he had to go was run to the left of the goal instead of the right side. You daft cսnt."

Re: Moyes Out
"Mad Dog, I have been to plenty of games in my life, both home and away so I know what it's like to be in the stands. I never said Moyes was perfect and have had the hump with his tax tics and our poor performances over the years too. Liverpool away recently is an example of my frustration with him. I'm still fucking annoyed with the team selection to be honest. Saying all that we are winning, we are hard to beat, we are well organised and we are banging in goals. Quality of football is improving and the players are battling and are playing with some pride. We are improving and have a lot to look forward too. I enjoy watching Alvaretta put it about. I really enjoy Emerson's game too, if he keeps improving like he has he'll be in high demand. JWP is another I love to watch, love his effort and his touch and delivery is great to watch. Kudus and Bowen are both linking up well and are a constant threat, they both know how to finish. Paqueta although too flashy at times is also a warrior and works his arse off. We have the makings of becoming a great side, a few good signings from being a real force. To blow that all up because of what has happened in the past is foolish. Moyes is getting it done, slowly but surely. Give him a bit more time before you kill what could be a team that gives you everything you want. There's nothing better than winning!"

Re: Moyes Out
daveyg. 1 & 2. It might be true but it's a stupid observation to make. It's like me saying if we had Salah when playing against Liverpool we might have got something or if Blackpool had Vaz Te they might have beaten us in the Play Off Final. We have Bowen & Kudus because we paid the money to sign them while Man Utd wasted theirs on the likes of Anthony. That's not luck. Rashford has started many games for Man Utd this season and has played shit so him having one decent game against Villa doesn't suddenly mean we were lucky he didn't do the same against us. You are talking nonsense. 3. You got Kevin Keen & Steve Potts mixed up. Also being able to manage senior internationals with all the pressure of the Premier League is a hell of a lot different from managing kids at youth level. 4. To suggest we suddenly changed tactics due to the players & Hertinga is complete guesswork on your part. You haven't a clue (neither do I) how much input Hertinga has on the team tactics. It's just a lazy comment to make to suggest when we win it's due to the players/coaching staff and when we lose it's because of Moyes.
Re: Moyes Out
"swindon point 1 : TRUE point 2 : TRUE point 3 : Potts it in his short time as u21's coach has played and coached them to their ultimate. I got the youth cup thing wrong. point 4 : There's no way Moyes pushed the players further forward against Spurs. he was quite happy to keep it at 1-0 till the 70th minute and tey and get a draw, JWP after the game. Manuel.. still sore after I pointed your mistake out, pathetic"
Re: Moyes Out
"Nutsin. As had been said. When you spend 6 hours put of your day every other week, pay through the nose to go wand sit through that shite it's a different story. At the game you can see whe whole pitch. You can see how devoid of ideas we are moving forward. You. An feel the boredom.and frustration throughout the ground. It's very very different if you're just sat on the sofa"
Re: Moyes Out
"Come on you irons Re: Moyes Out Looks in. Sees the usual boring idiots moaning about our most successful manager in moderns times. Logs out. Mods, lock it. Yep moaning cunts eh, not like you'd do it.. Come On You Irons wrote... Re: Moyes Out Shocking line up, performance and post match comments from the dour, dinosaur JOCKOSAURUS cսnt. We all know how this will pan out. We will now go on a dreadful run of form and lose at home to Manchester United and away Arsenal in our next two league games (how could we possibly get results against such glamorous opposition). We will then lose at home to Brighton on 2 January to make it four defeats on the spin. Questions will start to be asked about Moyes' position, but he will then get a win at home against Bristol City in the FA Cup and he will plod on."

Re: Moyes Out
"No mad dog I don't go any more . I live in Southern California. But I watch every game from the comfort of my couch and yes, there have been some bad performances and the football has been tough to watch at times but it's not as bad as is being suggested and we are definitely improving. I don't need to go to the stands to have an opinion either. I've watched enough football over the years to know when a team and a club is heading in the right direction. I've also been one of the few on here who has been right about Our quality and results. Yeah it's not perfect but it's a nice fucking change especially winning in Europe. So I'd suggest you enjoy the moment and the ride and stop throwing your toys up in the air. These are happy days! Enjoy them while they last ffs!"

Re: Moyes Out
"We are inconsistently brilliant at stopping brilliant football being played......much of our support is proud of this even if it's used to beat average teams as well......now if this were stifled to being just the best teams it would be quite fun considering our under investment over the decades to make us one of the clubs to want to play for, but it leaves us with the possibility of being those same big clubs suppliers of great players to make them continue to be great teams....."

"""If Rashford had started and played like he did against Villa we would have lost""ù ""If Kudus or Bowen were playing for Man Utd they would have been out of sight at Half Time""ù ""Give Steve Potts the job. He plays football the right way and has the respect of his players and knows how to handle them. He managed the youth team to win the youth cup""ù ""We won so that means it was the players and Hertinga that changed the tactics, not Moyes""ù Fucking hell. I have read some shit on here in my time but those 4 comments from the same poster really do take the biscuit!"
Re: Moyes Out
"Capitol Man is the classic Teletext fan i was talking about. He thinks we brilliant against Spurs and desreved the win. A very lucky 2 goals. A change in tactics because the players changed the tactics. Moyes didn't know how to change. The players and probably Hertinga have changed the tactics. The Man U game was similar to the Spurs game. If Rashford had started and played like he did against Villa we would have lost. Liverpool he didn't believe in the players or team even though he had Coufal,Areola,Alvarez,Bowen,Soucek,Kudus and Benrhama starting. Arsenal was his only game that I will give him credit for. Defensively he had the players hunting in packs, this enabled Ogbonna to be covered by numerous players helping him out when needed. But again with the players he has available he should be winning more than he has .Not losing to Fulham by 5 and conceding so many. Put Paqueta,Kudus,Bowen in virtually any side and they'll be top 4. Plus his subs and use of the use is criminal. We might buy loan players in Jan but Moyes won't want to play them till March."

Capitol Man 5:46 Sat Dec 30 Obviously not. Was you suggesting you'd rather be in our position than Arsenal's?

Re: Moyes Out
Sidey.... can think of the last three times we played the Goons that Moyes has done a number on them.... so perhaps they should be saying Deja vu rather than a one off from little ol' west ham...

"Sold, of course they did as they don't expect it to be repeated""¶.they expect Arteta to find a solution to continue his good results usually with teams who play all behind the ball, they will be looking to strengthen their front line off the back of it""¶..meanwhile West Ham are still deemed ""òlittle ol' West Ham' and we'll be gleeful to reminisce on this one off result""¶."
Re: Moyes Out
As usual Capitol you're completely ignoring the wider issues at play here. Just keep reading the results and looking at the table and believing everything's hunky dory.
