Imho it all comes down to European qualification. If we manage it somehow Moyes will be offered a new deal. Odds are firmly against it though imo. Only worry is if we make the semi final or 8th place ( very close ) Sullivan may not have the fortitude to get rid of him. Moyes priority therefore is going as far as possible in Europe and high as possible in the league obviously. His attitude to the 2 domestic cups is evidence of that. And because he operates with half a squad it's no surprise as 13 or 14 players losing in 2 competitions has a better chance.

Saying that, all this talk about signing a new deal was premature. It came after the wins against Arsenal, Man Utd and Spurs, but squeezed in between thrashings by Fulham and Liverpool. The football was dire but we were getting results. Most teams would struggle without Paqueta, Kudus and Bowen. However, our lack of depth is shocking and that is mainly down to Moyes's squad management.
