Re: Moyes Out
You need to look up the word myth as well CS. West Ham had always looked to play decent football it's why Bolton under Fat Sam were able to spoil our game for a result against us and Moyes did the same with Everton.

Re: Moyes Out
"""but Council seems to think we've never strived to play good football or had an academy of football when the club called itself this."" How many players have come through the academy to establish themselves in the first team over the last 50 years? How does it compare to other clubs? I don't give a fuck about a ""self title"" its a myth the same as us always striving to play football."

Re: Moyes Out
Leonard Hatred loves a bad manager obviously. Try discussing points instead of playing the man all the time you soppy old queen
Re: Moyes Out
"Side of Ham, Right. Misunderstood you there. Didn't see where he'd said that about the Academy being a myth as well."

Re: Moyes Out
Two superb domestic cup runs. A non existent bench. 10 players behind the ball tactics. Golllum pre/post interviews. One legged cat kicker as Captain. Soucek floating around in midfield being first choice FUCK Right off. Board and Manager are incompetent cunts

Re: Moyes Out
So did I Nagel but Council seems to think we've never strived to play good football or had an academy of football when the club called itself this.....and to be fair for decades that was never questioned within football circles.
Re: Moyes Out
"Always thought the Academy of Football was about bringing young players through the ranks, not the style of play."

Re: Moyes Out
According to you it's made up but the fact is THE CLUB titled itself the Academy of Football......so they strived to do it.....they even used it to save spending money under The Cearns & then Brown ......you've not followed the club's history very well have you?

Re: Moyes Out
"Willtell 5:59 Tue Jan 23 Re: Moyes Out I want Moyes out because he's not a good manager and our relative success is in spite of him You see, it's precisely this sort of absolute bollocks that makes everyone on here think you're a complete fucking cսnt"
Re: Moyes Out
"Bloke is passive, defeatist, and uninspiring. It's no wonder people don't want him in charge...it's not about results, and the 'style of play' isn't about pleasing on the eye, but about it being the total embodiment of him. When results are good some will look past it and him, but when they aren't excellent what 'he' is becomes very hard to take. He's just simply a bad leader for something you care about. He cares more about himself than the club. Love to see the back of him....the total opposite of Klopp, who has bought into Liverpool, bought into the fan base, and gives them an attitude and approach to be proud of whether they have a good or bad season, win lose or draw."

Re: Moyes Out
"Council Scum 5:00 Tue Jan 23 Erm before your silly rant, you needed to look up the word STRIVED........"
Re: Moyes Out
"I want Moyes out because he's not a good manager and our relative success is in spite of him. He buys players he never uses. He plays players out of position. He plays some favourites even when they are consistently poor. He repeats mistakes over and over. He's atrocious at in game management especially with substitutions. His tactics are one dimensional and only about défense? He only gives youth a chance when they publicly complain and threaten to leave. An example of his lack of management skill is that Ben Johnson has been ignored and seen by Moyes as a failed youth player. Johnson has shown us all what a waste it could have been for such a decent all rounder Had any of our previous managers been given as much backing allied to a newly formed 3rd class European competition being formed at the right period, he has only done what he should as a bare minimum."
Re: Moyes Out
"Myth or not, this standard of football on offer by us is fucking boring and that's the crux of my issue with the one trick pony manager we have. We will not finish as well as we started this season and that's because David Moyes will only play one way using a small group of players. The kid Marshall is only warming the bench because of a lack of options. Once we're back to full strength, Marshall will be back off to the stiffs."

Re: Moyes Out
"""BUT in the main the club had always strived to play a decent way "" Rubbish, the West Ham way is a myth. The same with the ""Academy of football"" When we have rarely produced players of note for years on end. Like when Old Trafford suddenly became the Theatre of Dreams in the Sky age, when it didn't produce shit for 25 years before hand."

Re: Moyes Out
"ludo, for me when the PL started and we missed out due to relegation, that's when we were out priced or couldn't hold onto our best players at that time to build anything. It was the start of the footballer merry-go-round, that ebbed away at our ability to get the sorts of player to maintain our style."
Re: Moyes Out
"Side of Ham 2:56 Tue Jan 23 Hear hear Not sure money is the cause though but if it is it's only going to get worse... cup finals in Saudi Arabia, Superleagues, 10 subs etc... Just be glad we experienced football in the 20th century I suppose."

Re: Moyes Out
"In my 40 years of watching West Ham I've seen some fantastic football, and some excellent footballers turnout for us, 95% of English football supporters can't say that about their club. Yep we've had some dross, relegations, hangover performances BUT in the main the club had always strived to play a decent way and look to be a club to stop from playing their best football. Now? We're just there to spoil the whole event and get a smash & grab. We used to set out our stall to play......now it's guard up and hope to throw a couple of lucky punches. The cup we won we played no one until the final.......that's not a great cup win, that relief to get a day out in the sun and win something.....anything. It's so sad many write off our way because basically money took over the sport we love."
