Re: Moyes Out
"When was the last Final you saw a Teams Captain get badly assaulted and injured then, Pedro? We played dogshit bar the final moment when it mattered but the spectacle as a whole was a write off and lucky we weren't severely punished and banned for what happened in that Final. So yeah, definitely one of the worst Finals seen for all the playacting by them and shocking scenes from the stands, coupled with typical boring defensive Moyes football that fed off scraps relying on a moment of magic at the death."
Re: Moyes Out
Just watched an old clip of an interview on sky and Lopetegui says he wants to manage in the premier league again.

Re: Moyes Out
"It was the Fans and players that won that Cup, not Moyes. From making Fiorentina Captain Biraghis head explode open from a disgusting missile, to Paqueta magic out of nothing for the winner, to Fornals masterful run from the halfway line against a 2bob outfit from Alkmaar, it had very little to do with the magnificent tactics of Moyes. He also treats it like he's actually won the Champions League and not a newly founded 3rd rate trophy that only for lower league Teams can compete for. Not even Fiorentina are all that good as a midtable Team, yet they were the best we had to face and the Final itself was an absolute farce - one of thr worst Finals I've ever seen and all for the wrong reasons both in the stands and on the pitch. Had the jammy wanker not benefitted from us signing Paqueta and the new minnow Cup been founded recently then there's no way he ""wins"" that trophy. So let's have it right with regards to Moyes unbelievable achievement when it comes to winning the ECL. He also won that Cup for himself, rather than for 'us'. He doesn't even pay attention to our history, the ignorant prick."
Re: Moyes Out
I can understand the attraction of a coach who has stood up to an owner who hasn't delivered what was promised. Lopetegui is a fantastic coach but might not last 5min with Sullivan. I always thought it would be Marco Silva.
Re: Moyes Out
Wanted Lopetegui when he was at Wolves. Loves the Europa league too. Wonder if any truth ?
Re: Moyes Out
"Winning the Europa Conference League trophy was brilliant of course, but someone needs to remind Moyes that it's a third-rate competition that any Premier League side competing in would probably be favourites to win. That's the ONLY trophy that he's ever won. And it's a newly-formed trophy that gives the ""òshit' teams the chance of European football. Well done for beating AZ Alkmaar and Fiorentina. Credit is deserved for the three seasons in Europe and the trophy of course, but the football is just far too dull and boring and the January transfer windows are often baffling and dumb as shit. Time to go."

"Takashi Miike 1:21 Sun Feb 18 Fuck me your scraping the barrel now? You think I have been monitoring your posts for over 20 years, LOL I cant remember what threads you posted on last week let alone the past 20 years, all I know is that whenever a post on a thread if from you odds on its slagging the club or another poster in some way, almost guaranteed. Then do you see the Irony in you think im monitoring you and you then bring up a thread from over 10 years ago that I had forgotten all about, again LOL Oh, and im not proud of that thread, but remember when I posted it up it made me realize I was being a cսnt, not the first married bloke to have his head turned by a pretty woman, but that thread stopped it dead in its tracks, got some grief but to remember it and raise it all this time later is a bit creepy and a tad vindictive don't you think. As said you crack on, but maybe consider getting out bit more and not laying into every other West Ham fans if they don't see things in quite the bitter way you do, think a good portion want Moyes replaced and new owners come in just don't get as bitter and twisted about it as you. Have a word with yourself."

"I wouldn't we need a manager that is willing to walk if the owner(s) won't back his high ambitions""¶.."
Re: Moyes Out
"I've got a feeling Lopetegui is agreed in principle. If there is any truth in him turning down Palace because he's holding out for West Ham, he isn't doing so without encouragement. He ticks all the obvious boxes. Premier League experience, having done an acceptable job on a shoestring at Wolves and only leaving because they couldn't improve the squad. Unemployed so a freebie. Has the razmatazz that Sullivan craves with Spain and Real Madrid on his CV. Feels nailed on to me."

Re: Moyes Out
"Anyways bollocks to Moyes spoiling my footballing pleasure this weekend. I'm now about to cleanse my eyesight with watching my beloved Pablo in a bit starting again for Real Betis. Not even a bold prediction for me, I'm actually expecting him to follow up that spectacular 1st goal last week with another top performance with another goal/assist...."

threesixty 10:04 Sun Feb 18 Well said. This is completely where I am with regards to Moyes suiting Sullivan's lack of ambition.

Re: Moyes Out
"I think its sad that the club haven't sacked him because it just shows what their ambition is. If they really wanted Europe or even a CL place (5th maybe up for grabs this season) then they'd NEED to get rid of him. Even the chances of him doing well in the Europa, statistically are pretty slim given his horrendous run and terrible recruitment in the club this window. But I suspect Sullivan actually likes Moyes being there. Less aggro comes directly to him and Moyes has that thick skinned arrogance to face down any criticism he or the club faces. I also think Moyes is probably saying to the club that he let 3 senior players go based on them getting at least 2 in and they got fuck all. So it's not his fault. And I'm sure he's pretty convincing when he explains that its nothing to do with his coaching ability. So I worry for our club under Sullivan. Success on the field is more a bi-product of his business activity rather than an actual pursuit. And I never really believed that before when people on here used to say that. Now I realise they're right. Sullivan doesn't give a fuck. As long as we're not relegated and he doesnt get egged by someone in the ground, Sullivan doesnt really care about the club achieving anything. I think he thinks it's an NFL franchise or something. Just take money and tread water.. forever. He would definitely give Moyes another contract unless the fans make it untenable for him. But will the fans do that? I think if he finishes 9th or 10th and gets to the quarters/semi's of euro's, fans will not moan enough to get him out. And I'm not convinced the modern football fan or pundit even cares about the style of play. Which I think is the saddest thing about football nowadays. Full of stat merchants who dont care about how things get done, only the score or the trophy. It's disgusting really, but thats where we are."

Re: Moyes Out
"Keep dreaming , The media, especially that mob on Talksport just see stats, they aren't there every week watching the dross. I'll concede that up until recently anyway Moyes win rate was higher than good few of our managers but they don't see further than that. They see West Ham as a yo-yo team who never win anything so a few higher placed finishes and a Cup we should be eternally grateful. Give it a couple of months they will still be saying ""you are 15th in the League and won a cup last year, what more do you want?!"""
