Re: Moyes Out
"Did you know it was the 9th and 12th November the last time Paqueta scored a goal for us? 14 matches ago he's played in. For Kudus it was the 23rd December 9 matches ago he has since played in. Bowens record hasn't been much better had it not been for that superb recent hat trick against Brentford and a goal against the mighty Bristol City. What a waste of genuine top class attacking talent when they can barely get a look in to score, often feeding off scraps to score when we do dare to get into the oppositions final 3rd."
Re: Moyes Out
Tonight summed up the Moyes era to me. I'm out in Portugal on a golf trip so watched the game with a few mates in a sports bar in Lisbon with loads of screens. All the people watching other games were making noise/excited while we sat there bored by the same old Moyes away performance.Rangers went at Benfica and got a draw while we sat back against bloody Freiburg. Years ago people would nod at you in a sports bar as a West Ham fan and say we are a good team to watch. Now we are dross drained by that jock vampire

"After two wins, playing some entertainingish football, I'm thinking 'hmm, maybe he's doing an ok job', and then he delivers the shit we saw tonight. I'm looking forward to him going like I looked forward to Christmas as a seven year old."

Re: Moyes Out
I agree with that branded . If he's off and I'm sure he is . Why not turn it into a positive. Just announce it early. It would kill off the fans hoping we lose . Just like Liverpool and Bayern Munich have .

Re: Moyes Out
He's here until the end of the season. Whether we like it or not . I fully suspect he's off regardless of what happens in the remainder of it . But typically of our owners they will happily sit back and let the negativity sweep amongst the fanbase . No backbone whatsoever.

"It's strange too that Klopp brought on 3 kids in Carabao cup and won. Yet Liverpool's U21s are 7 points behind WHU U21's in PL2 table and Moyes only plays ours when they want to leave""¶."

"We've spent more on our squad than Liverpool have spent on theirs in the last 5 years. And somehow, we've got the oldest and smallest squad in the league."

Re: Moyes Out
You mean a far superior squad that is allowed to pick their way through us because they are given the ball for 80 minutes?

Re: Moyes Out
His particular record against Liverpool? Add in our record at Anfield?...yes.....look it up......it's reasonable to say they will win through......

Re: Moyes Out
My reasoned analysis is that since his second season he hasn't or won't qualify for Europe through league position. My next bit of reasoned analysis is that English teams are strong in European competition therefore if we come up against either Brighton OR Liverpool we do not have the manger to beat these two club's managers over two legs or in a major final. Down to Moyes to prove that wrong but his record of being a winner is not against these clubs......it's one of being mainly a loser against them with the odd rare shock result. Under knockout cup pressure situations Moyes will suffer against these two clubs.

"So what are you saying? That Nolan is the latest victim of Emperor Moyes? If so, it seems absolutely beyond any doubt that Moyes is clearly impossible to work with in the long term. He's now compiling a quite distinguished list people who have 'disappeared in the night'. How long before Heitinga is 'moved on' when he starts questioning the emperors methods?"
Re: Moyes Out
"Sir Alf...I don't think there's been much change. We've just played two of the shittest teams in the league. One were especially shit in the first 10 mins and we capitalised. The other, we were frankly second best for most of the game and they have a striker who had scored one in about 26 games (shock he also notched against us). Hardly anything bad changed....we were less passive against Brentford, but they were slow and enabled us to play that way more. Against Everton we dropped deep often again and the keeper saved us from a walloping. Nothing has changed. And nothing will change. Once we play some decent teams we'll be embarrassing again, and if they lack their shooting boots we might get a few points because our front 3 collectively are up there with the best in the league. Moyes won't change. He simply can't, and more than that, he clearly doesn't believe he needs to."
Re: Moyes Out
"I like xG as a stat, in particular for assessing team and players in respect their goal scoring/conceding. Strikers for instance....pure goals scored, or shots on target, or shots versus goals....none of those give any understanding of the quality of chances created and whether the player performance to the level that would be considered ""average"" based on the chances they get. As an example, a striker with only 2 goals could be considered shit. But if their xG is only 1, then they're actually outperforming and it says more about their team's ability to create chances for them than anything else. Our xG shows we score more than we should (so we either have fantastic finishers who take difficult chances, or we'll revert to the mean and we're in a false position compared to where we should be). Our chances conceded compared to our league position shows somehow we find away to win games despite letting the opposition shoot for fun. The argument is always can an out performance be maintained, or is reversion to the mean inevitable (and thus a decline predicted at some point). But they are useful stats."
