"daveyg 4:31 Fri Mar 15 'When we were 3-0 Moyes went in to his usual self,we were defending on in a line across the D. Looked dodgy with Soucek and Cresswell looking vulnerable. ' All of this is untrue, but it's good to see you can keep a vendetta going across several threads after a 5-0 victory in which every single player was excellent. And yes. Still Moyes out."

Joyo What these comments emphasise is a total lack of trust in Moyes to do or say the right thing.... Has he now found a way of playing against lesser teams yes or no? We think yes but we also believe he will revert to his overly negative defensive strategy and based on past history this is not unreasonable. He says his teams always play on the front foot... do they? No we know they dont and therefore he loses all credibility with the fans and why would we now believe anything he says.. His new diatribe is 3 qtr finals in a row in Europe and has any West Ham team acheived that.. he knows they havent because entry into Europe in the past was way more difficult... but does he have to keep banging on about his achievements.. no but ghis is what the man is.. This irritates those that see through his arrogance and can see how fragile his ego is ... its pathetic really.

"Still hugely Moyes out. When we were 3-0 Moyes went in to his usual self,we were defending on in a line across the D. Looked dodgy with Soucek and Cresswell looking vulnerable. Kudus got the ball from a bit of ping pong ball controlled it then went on that Messi type run and scored the goal of the season. Moyes would have wanted him to hoof the ball out or long to Antonio at best. But the genius took it open himself to surge up the pitch. Nothing to do with Moyes. It's the trio again, helped by Antonio getting Moyes out of the shit"

"Sir Alf 1:28 Fri Mar 15 Re: Moyes Out In professional sport the main aim of the game is to get the best results for the aspiration of the owners in competition with the other players. What you have is one off events and long run outcomes. Some golfers can get too close to the top of the rankings without winning. No massive emotional event for the player but great professional outcome. It's fair to say the great players or teams either "" have something about them"" or win. Even on the winning metric Moyes has succeeded. On the metric of doing what the owners wish for his success is good. If we do have a problem its the aspiration of the owners not the response and long run results of the manager."

i mean it's pretty fucking clear how the players want to play and how the support wants them to play. there's only been one obstinate roadblock the whole time.

"""Moyes is almost a pathological liar. Takes us for fools and not equals as he elevates himself at every turn. Psychology of a very insecure and weak man who you couod never trust or rely on."" Hmmm! I'm not sure about that Sir Alf. Managing a group of egotistical professionals requires an egotistical and stubborn character. Moyes has to be seen to be right otherwise they will back chat or question you. Moyes can either joke about it as 'Arry might have done or shut them out as Moyes obviously does... Thing is I don't care that Moyes is the manager if he would only show willingness to let Steidten build him a decent team instead of arguing because the player doesn't fit his over defensive ideas. And all the time Moyes defensive tactics mean narrow games less youngsters will get a chance at 3 or 4 nil games. That's why Moyes has to go..."

Moyes luck in predominantly getting fixtures/draws against shit opposition in Europe is quite something. It wouldn't surprise me if we now faced Atalanta next. Villa for instance had to negotiate playing Ajax in the last 16 of the Conference whereas we had to play Larnaca. To get Freiburg again was a dream come true for Moyes and us. Better to be a lucky manager than a good one..

"Agree Zico Its like the blokes you know at school, work or any walk of life really that are bullshitters, dishonest and above all else dont take accountability for anything, have insatiable egos and need for adoration. Our culture does not tollerate them and rightly so. Cannot be trusted. If he once put his hands up and said ""I got that wrong""ù or it was ""my error "" or ""responsibility""ù you would see a lot more empathy for the man. We remember Keegans famous admission that he could not take England forward. Earned a lot of respect in most quarters for that. Moyes is almost a pathological liar. Takes us for fools and not equals as he elevates himself at every turn. Psychology of a very insecure and weak man who you couod never trust or rely on."

"If Moyes criticised Kudus last week it clearly fucking worked. There are lots of things we can get irritated by Moyes and his management but his averages are at the high end of West Ham's and he has generally thrived at West Ham but very much so jn Europe so far. He and his players obviously love European football. Most criticisms of Moyes are around the entertainment and style but when he plays entertaining attacking football we are almost all in agreement its a beautiful thing. But even when we beat Arsenal, Brighton and Chelsea it was still fucking fun."

"I winced last night when the interviewer reminded Moyes about his criticism of Kudus giving the ball away last week. I never saw last weeks interview but wondered why a manager would criticise players in public. Moyes also responded to the question about how playing off the front foot worked by saying he always thought that his teams played off the front foot. Ouch, I think it's this stuff as much as the style of play that miffs a lot of of us.."

"Lets see how we fare against Villa before reading too much into a headline victory against what looked like a mid table German outfit. We've been here multiplevtimes with talk of ""corners turned""ù and usually followed by a depressing defeat. Better than seasons gone by and relegation scraps but after 400+ million invested in players under Moyes that should arguably be expected? We are, since early 2022, the epitome of the phrase ""consistently inconsistent""ù or as I like to call it ""erratic""ù."

"We won well last night and it was great to watch wasn't it SOH? However, Moyes needed to attack to save his job which is why he let them off the leash. He even ended up giving a debut to Earthy but when does anyone really think Earthy's next run out will be? Moyes can't manage with a full squad of millionaire opinionated players. His only back-up for Antonio in 3 seasons is Ings who is a second striker that is too small and lacks Antonio's pace! Moyes let our 2 left wingers go (I of which was Fornals who is actually a right sided midfielder) and didn't replace them. Probably because he sees a place to fit Paqueta or JWP into the team without dropping his favourites that are favourites because they wholeheartedly back his style of game. Kehrer a Moyes signed CB was sold and replaced by yet another DM in Phillips who has shown how shit he's become. Moyes' £30m CB signing Aguerd has changed agents and wants out. Aguerd has been dropped and now we only have Mavropanos and crippled knees £30m signing Zouma or 36 year old Ogbonna as CB's. Sullivan probably loves it because he's getting European football benefits on the cheap while flogging the squad that's the oldest and smallest in the PL. No wonder Sullivan is having nightmares about finding a manager even with Steidten's help. Sullivan has signed 5 managers and the only ones that he would see as being good for him are the pragmatic ones that were skilled in the art of PL survival - Allardyce and Moyes. Perhaps Sullivan's ambitions are only survival in PL...?"
