Re: Moyes Out
Nagel and Willtell We are wasting our energy on Nutsack he cant comprehend anything were are saying he only looks at the results and the table he doesny understand football manangemeng and what it should entail... he cant enter into an arguement because he knows he would lose... He's asking if we think Moyes is a bad manager we'll say yes and then hes going to come back with but hes the most successful of all time look at the table it does not lie 3 seasons in europe a trophy.. blah bloody blah Hes clueless...
Re: Moyes Out
""" an omniscient prick who doesn't know his arse from his elbow""ù ""î""î""î""î""î""î""î""î""î""î For your information Nutsin, omniscient means to know it all. So you're saying Nagel knows it all but doesn't know his arse from his elbow? How does that work then? Is it like Moyes is a good manager in spite of his bad judgement?"
Re: Moyes Out
You do realise that being omniscient is literally the opposite of not knowing your arse from your elbow?
Re: Moyes Out
"Nagel, It was you who jumped in on my conversation so please feel free to add me to your list. After all you really talk a lot of bollox, nothing more annoying than an omniscient prick who doesn't know his arse from his elbow."
Re: Moyes Out
You're more than welcome to add me to your list of people you're going to ignore in future. It would do us all a favour.
Re: Moyes Out
"How could anything anyone has said on here change your mind? You don't seem to read and understand what they actually say. You twist and distort it into something completely different, and usually irrelevant, and then in your deluded way think you've somehow won the argument. It's weird, but as I say, typical of people who most like to ""discuss"" politics."
Re: Moyes Out
"Alf I agree with giving it a go at getting in the top 6. I'm just not convinced like you are that Moyes is not the answer. As I have said I have seen progress in the team and the squad and the performances and results reflect this. When we had players out we struggled I agree but that doesn't mean it can't be fixed under Moyes, after all he has gotten a lot right. I'm not ready to throw in the towel and nothing anyone has said won here has changed my mind. Let's see how the season shakes out and see where we stand at the end of the season. Until then how about we get behind the team and support them, we're in the midst of one of the greatest European spells we've ever had ffs."
Re: Moyes Out
"One other note Moyes has had to handle our domestic campaign while playing in Europe throughout the season, not too many managers have figured that out""¶.. Something to be praised I'm sure you will agree."
Re: Moyes Out
"Nagel, So I rest my case, Moyes managed the squad better than Pellegrini did and As we all know Pellegrini played a more attacking style than Moyes which is why there is such a difference in results. Yet you defend Pellegrini and slag off the one manager who is getting it right finally. Yeah there's some logic in there somewhere I'm sure."
Re: Moyes Out
Thx for the stats insight Billy. Tbh I didn't realise the Euro games had such an impact. But over 4 years he's been at the helm we are in a better place and have a euro trophy albeit not the most prestigeous. Yes he has benefited from financial backing no other West Ham manager has ever had ( although Pellegrini did ok in that sense too ). So on balance he will hopefully be remembered as a good interim manager that was important in helping us get up one level but unable to take us to the next. I think ( hope ) thats a fair and probably kind assessment ? It is about maintaining the progression we have seen and for me his brand of football and way he manages or maintains his squad has created a ceiling to further progress. Unfortunately I think that will be confirmed in April in the Europa and league position. If he proves me wrong and wins the Europa or gets into the top 8 he probably gets another crack at things even if the prospect of Moyesball continuing is the price. I also understand the risk of change but we have a DOF now and he needs a coach who buys into the strategy or long term plan which means different tactical approach and use of a squad. Lets have a go at trying to get nearer to the top 6 and if it fails at least we can say we had a go. A lot of us older fans ate running out of time so let Steidten do his job and Moyes can go manage Celtic or Scotland.
Re: Moyes Out
"Nutsin 7:34 Fri Mar 22 So we play with the same defence under one keeper and we don't concede, but with another keeper we do, and that has nothing to do with the keeper himself? Give your head a wobble. If anything, being less attacking means your goalie and defence will be required to be at their absolute best, because they're under constant pressure. This is why Areola has been so important for us this season, and why our back 4 have constantly been criticised as not being good enough."

Re: Moyes Out
That's a great post Nagel. And that shit doesn't belong on political threads either because it's largely what reduces their quality as well.
Re: Moyes Out
"That's my point you are dead wrong, the reason why the goal keeper was so badly exposed was because we were awful at the back, surely you must know this? FMOB you think Roberto repeatedly dropped the ball and made massive mistakes is because he was exposed to it? Areola is exposed to it more, why does he keep getting motm? Don't answer because the answer is obvious."

Re: Moyes Out
"Oh look another statistician europe 3 years running... do fuck off twolefts.. that is not squad management.. Can you honestly say we have a deep enough squad, thats balanced ie has the right players covering all positions thats young enough for Moyes or any manager to take us forward... hes had 4 fucking years... and now he wants Maguire and Wilson to add to JWP, Soucek and Phillips.. imagine that as a line up. I appreciate Phillips may not be staying but if Moyes had his way..."

Re: Moyes Out
"But its everything you are ignoring about Moyes... Why... this is what is so frutrating about you lot... its like you dont care about the future of the club or the players or developing or getting the strategy right... its just oh look we won... or say nothing when we lose.. all we are saying is its bigger than what you see in the table or bigger than the result... If Moyes didnt have great attacking players and was grubbing around cos Sullivan wasnt investing we'd be praising the Moyesiah for all his work with a shoestring budget... but that is not the problem hes got some great players he choses not to utilise properly, he has spent a fortune but wasted most of it... he is the problem going forward."
Re: Moyes Out
"But, Nutsin. I wasn't defending Pellegrini. You said that attacking football doesn't translate into wins and mentioned Pellegrini as proof of that, so I merely pointed out that it was Fabianski's injury, not a more attacking brand of football, which meant that we started losing a lot more than we were winning. The idea that you exposed me being hypocritical is quite funny though. There must be some kind of weird filter that your brain uses when you read words so that they mean something completely different to you than they do to the rest of us. Either that or it's deliberate, in which case you should probably just stick to the politics threads where that shit belongs."

Re: Moyes Out
Poor squad management? 3 years of European football. 1 x winners 1 x semi final 1 x q/f I'll take that poor squad management anytime.
