Re: Moyes Out
"A 10th place finish and run to the quarter finals of the Europa League is a pefect time to say goodby to Moyes. He clearly cannot take us to the next level (tinpot Johnsons Paint Trophy of Europe win aside). Time to bin him and get in a young, progressive manager. Alonso is proof that there ARE managers out there we can take a punt on and hopefully move forwards."

"twoleftfeet 12:49 Fri Apr 12 ""Whoever gets it will have his own "" out "" thread on here within a week"" I can't see why you hero worship Moyes. He likes to dig out the fans also when things aren't going his way also."
Re: Moyes Out
He has done decent at Lille but is it his choice he isn't getting a new deal or are Lille not offering him one?.
Re: Moyes Out
"Fonseca clearly wants to manage in the PL, he is out of contract at the end of the season, he has done a good job at Lille (wouldn't be surprised if the knock Villa out) and his footballing ideology is the polar opposite of Moyes... get him signed up."

Re: Moyes Out
"Nobody has a crystal ball, so we can't predict exactly where we'll finish. But IF we get eliminated from Europe (albeit by a very well-drilled Leverkusen side), and finish 9th and 10th, this idea that only Moyes could get us where we are is shot to shit. I can think of a very long list of managers, including many who play football that is far more exciting and attacking, who could manage this group of players to the QFs of the Europa and 10th in the Premier League. Suddenly, Moyes' status would look as bang average as his tactics - even to those media luvvies who barely watch us."

Re: Moyes Out
"I think we edged closer to Moyes' departure last night. Naturally, I wanted us to win - and we have still got a (very slim) chance in the second leg. I'm not one of these fans who ever wants us to lose games just to get rid of a manager. But the chances are we will be out of Europe next week. We're currently 7th in the Premier League and clinging on to a European slot as things stand. But Newcastle and Chelsea behind us have games in hand. We've also still got to play Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool - plus two London derbies with Palace and Fulham - in our remaining games. We could drop quite a few points in the run-in. Most likely teams will come past us in the Premier League and I can realistically see us finishing 9th or 10th. At that point, does Moyes keep his job? I'd say 10th with that side (Paqueta, Bowen, Kudos, big money defenders, Alvarez) would be an under-achievement by any reckoning."
Re: Moyes Out
Watched Tippy Tappy football with Stuart Pearce and I might have misheard but am sure that he said that Moyes is quite a negative person and he surrounded himself with the likes of Pearce as he has a positive outlook etc. Says it all really.

Pentonville 12:05 Fri Apr 12 It's mad isn't it. No journalist prepared to ask him the obvious questions. Always licking his bum.

"I've always said he would leave of his own accord at the end of the season and I can't see that changing. Fonseca, Slot and Nagelsman will be on Steidtens radar I guess or maybe even Potter. Whoever gets it will have his own "" out "" thread on here within a week."

Re: Moyes Out
"We all know he should have gone ages ago. But here we are. Another Quarter Final of a CUP competition and he sets us up for 27% possession and 1 (ONE) shot at their goal for the entire game. They had 33 shots, so he can't even argue that we were defensively sound. If we had had even 15 shots at goal we may have had a chance at least of scoring. But 1 shot the entire game. Shameful. Next game No Paqueta or Bowen from the looks of things so not looking good. Still Davey boy can at least point to his success at bringing on strikers after all one of ours scored 2 goals last night against the scousers, shame it was for Atalanta though. Vampire Dave sucking the joy out of football."

Re: Moyes Out
"I tell you what's hilarious, he's had nearly 5 years now at the club overall, £500mil spend, and in a QF in a cup, he's still relying on 34 year old Cresswell and 34 year old Antonio. Hahaha"

Re: Moyes Out
"I think the media will turn on him soon. They were a few prepared to tell the truth a couple of weeks ago. We'll be out of Europe next week, and our league form is still pretty shit. The oldest squad, playing the worst football in the league, getting shit results, after spending half a billion quid. It'll come crashing down on him soon."

"after licking Levekusen's backside, he then said when referring to the second leg, and with zero self awareness ""Lets hope the fans get behind us"". no apology for the two QF surrenders, or the time/money wasted by these same fans. no, dig them out and question their loyalty"

Re: Moyes Out
The media are all terrified of him. Why not ask why he thinks Leverkusen are a champs league team (his words) having had a quarter of our budget spent on their team and a manager in the role for less than 2 years. It would mean him having no possible chance of an excuse bit they don't ask cos they are all too terrified to put baby in a corner.

"What did he say this time, claypole? It wouldn't have been the first time he's done it, so I'd imagine it was completely intentional.."
