"Only Sheffield United, Burnley and Luton have conceded more goals than West Ham United this season. Only Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, Everton and Sheffield United average less possession than West Ham United. Only Forest, Luton, Burnley and Sheffield United average less shots on target per game than West Ham United. Only Burnley, Luton, Wolves, Everton and Sheffield United have scored fewer from open play than West Ham United. West Ham United rank middle of the table for goals scored from Set pieces, with 10. I believe 7 of those came early on in the season. Once the corners dry up, we are fucked. We play football to get corners. A few people don't care about any of this, because we're 4th, 5th,6th,7th,8th etc - they just like the league table. That's fair enough, but save your money and write your own table in crayons you knobs. Put us 1st. We're supposed to enjoy watching sport. No team goes down the middle of the pitch less than West Ham United. You know, where the goal is""¶ but that's not a corner flag is it. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GLMPkOJWkAArFxr?format=jpg&name=large"

"Yeah, most likely quite a few hacks who are just doing what many fans are doing: hazarding the (probably correct) guess that our season will be effectively over on Friday morning - and therefore that Moyes will come under heavy pressure. Finishing 9th or 10th in mid-table obscurity, which now looks likely, would be an under-achievement given the money we've spent and the players we have. At which point, even Moyes' biggest supporters would have to confront a brutal reality. Fulham have just done the double over us. They hadn't won at our place since 2001. That's how far we are below where we 'should' be. We've been utterly dogshit in the league since January. We've played 14 league games and won just 3. It simply isn't good enough - and there are no Moyes supporters who can convince me of that."

"Everything has become so painfully predictable and boring with him now. You can pretty much guess the starting XI from the playing squad of 14 players, how we're going to play, which reactionary substitutes are going to come on at pretty much what time."

"Was reading about Leverkusen's title win October 2022 ... Leverkusen in the relegation zone, Villa and West Ham struggling after playing a dismal game at Villa Two of them appoint Alonso and Emery. The other sits on their hands"

Cant think of a legal reason that a paper couldnt report a story/rumour MAY be that the journo who has found out has been told dont publish til Friday and we will give you the full story including the next manager ps The only way we are going through on Thursday is if every Leverkusen player had 32 beers last night and they are going to walk/swim to London arriving 7.30pm on Thursday

"again, how does qualifying for europe again change the way we should proceed in the summer? we have someone in charge that mismanages expensive signings, alienates half his squad while flogging the other half to death, and refuses to adapt his playing style to suit these talented, technical players. he's cost the club a fortune in depreciated transfer values every time he falls out with someone, yet we still have people clinging on to the what if bollocks of another european campaign where it will prove nothing if he's not willing to compete with the better teams in it"

"I've thought for a long time the next manager will be Lopetegui and also convinced it was agreed a while back. Out of work. Premier League experience. Previously of Spain, Real Madrid and Sevilla so has the razzle effect for Sulli. Supposedly turned down Palace as he was ""waiting""ù on West Ham."

"I think you're right in the sense that, if we fall out of Europe this week (most likely), and finish outside the European places in the league (also now highly likely), then Moyes will be gone. But I doubt that final decision has yet been made - because, in theory, we could still win a major trophy and secure another European spot."

"Alfs, I hate to rain on the parade, as I'd like to the back of Moyes. But none of that gossip from the newspaper hack makes much sense. What, for example, is the ""legal""ù reason the paper can't run the story before a formal announcement on a Friday? If they know it now, have multiple sources and it's true, they would most likely run it now. Also, let's be realistic: the idea that the club wouldn't renew Moyes' contract if we somehow overturned a deficit against Leverkusen and went on to win the Europa League, is bonkers. Sullivan would rush to renew it if Moyes won a second major trophy in successive years - whether we like it or not. I just don't buy that gossip."

"Mourinho has won trophy's at every club he has managed apart from Spurs! LOL, So on the count im IN. He does however play a similar type of football to Moyes? Just a bit better at it, so on that score im a ""tentative"" OUT. But what the fuck do know, if its him then get behind him and hope he does well, be entertaining (maybe not on the pitch, but the dugout!) at least, he's an outspoken character for sure!"

"Something for the Moyes inners to try to answer is, Moyes has managed over a thousand games spanning over 20 years, has currently spent on this squad half a billion making it the thinnest and oldest in the league. His managerial achievements over that period are once coming first in a one horse race ( leaving that to the final minute) and errrrrr? Just because he says he's a winner doesn't make it the truth, you only need to look at the simple facts. How long would you keep putting up with your winner?"

"I've been told by a journo mate that the decision has been made, and he's gone even if we thump BL (ha ha), and get to the semis, or even win it (ha ha ha ha ha). His unsigned and rather crappy contract offer has been withdrawn, and our next manager has already been sorted. Doesn't know who, though. She's not a sport's journo but works for a broadsheet and it seems to be common knowledge at the paper. The story can't be reported yet, for legal reasons, but an announcement should be made on Friday."

"Win percentage which doesn't take in to context of where the Club was at the time with varying levels of finances/investment respectively. Furthermore the Europa Conference wasn't about when Redknapp was manager so it may well have been a trophy he could have won too if it began all those years ago. I don't think Redknapp had the luxury either of having 2 bites of the managerial cherry like Moyes or becoming manager once more during a Pandemic where there wasn't anybody in the fucking stadiums to make a difference - Not Moyes fault as he can only manage what's put in front of him but fuck me he's had a large slice of luck whilst being our manager (twice). The style of Football, bringing on all those World Class kids as well as finishing 5th the highest we've ever finished in the Premier League era will always be better than what Moyes managed in the Premier League with us."

I might be wrong here so correct me if I am but what Moyes friends in the media seem to forget when they put him forward as West Hams most successful manager is that he has had more money at his disposal than any other manager in our history bar maybe the Pellegrini disaster and possibly the brief lavish over spending of the icelandics.

If he stays then that's us done for the time being once all is taken into consideration with the time, effort and money laid out only to watch endless dross served up. The minute it finally gets announced he's getting the spanish archer though, then they'll get renewed."
