Moyes Out ( Released )
"Posted the same last year. Nothing has changed, except win don't win matches anymore. I'm fed up, we can do much better"
Re: Moyes Out
I heard people on the train home last night saying top 10 would be a good season. Equally one or two around me are still banging the three good seasons drum. Our support has become so diluted and accepting of the shit he churns out.

Re: Moyes Out
"Westside Without wanting to turn this into a Bilic/Pellgrini thread it does need remembering correctly it was only 11 matches in to a new season with Bilic just in the bottom 3 with 3 quarters of a season still to go. With the added significant context being trying to integrate us in an unfit Football Stadium off the back of the worst migration in history (contrary to her Royal Highnesses claims it was the best ever). To sack him off losing Payet and not getting him next level signings promised like Willie Carvalho (yes THAT Sullivan Email debacle) and an alleged relegation battle just 11 games in, having played Liverpool, Spurs and Man Uted in those 11 was an absolute joke. We back managers? Don't make me laugh Sullivan, Bilic deserved so much better, especially after having to contend with the last Boleyn season that was spectacular in entertainment not seen for years at WHU. As for Pellegrini, we weren't in the bottom 3, 1 point outside it at the halfway stage. Mitigating rare circumstances happened that start of the season where his main man superb signing in goal Fabianski has a long term injury at the start and it falls apart from there after a decent start and off the back of a promising 10th place finish. Then Roberto happened which I blame Hussilos for finding such an inept Sunday league level Goalkeeper which totally derails our season. But it was still halfway with 19 matches left to play and with Fabianski soon returning. No way was that going to lead to relegation and I'd argue probably get us back to midtable with his usual top management of Teams. But no, once again GSB decide to go back to a serial loser and ditch a proven, well respected serial winner for Moyes who gets 2 huge bites at the same job that's rarely afforded to most managers. The whole thing revolving our managers stinks and GSB us to blame for all of it. But as for ""saving us"" from going down, it's 1 of the biggest current myths going in the game, right up there with Kalvin cunting Phillips for being a quality Footballer and 1 of the nicest guys in Football. *Flips 2 fingers back up at him*"

"LeroysBoots 2:32 Fri Apr 19 Yeh, it was a completely unnecessary reaction to what seemed to be the start of an innocuous and reasonable question. ""If this is the end of your tenure""ù. Spiky wanker, I don't want people like that here. The journo was just doing his job."

Re: Moyes Out
"ATHammer 1:29 Fri Apr 19 Spot on post. Direct and to the point. Last nights inability to have impact off the bench is all on Moyes mismanagement of the squad this season. As you said, never learnt from the Frankfurt loss when last in Europa League and squad was left thin then also. Last nights first half, arguably the best I have seen us play all season, simply proves the supporters to be RIGHT. We have a squad capable of going out and winning games. Even without Emerson and Paqueta, we looked a real threat playing aggressive and positive. Moyes tactics in the first leg were shameful. Had we gone there and gone at them I am now sure we would have gone through. And, this season, when you look at Newcastle's injury woes, Man Utd being as poor as I have ever seen, and Chelsea's young inconsistent squad stumbling, to finish below them in the PL with our squad is quite frankly a joke. Too many poor tactics, negative set ups and bad subs by Moyes has fucked our season. And as for others talking Moyes personality I also agree. I find the bloke intolerable. A nauseating prick who has an ego that is about as endearing as a terminal disease. Bored of him, bored of his tactics and bored of his constant bullshit to cover his tracks. Just fuck off Moyes."
Re: Moyes Out
He has to go purely based on the fact that there is no cohesion with the decision making on players. We lack a squad and if the player doesn't fit Moyes' profile then he is finished before he even gets injured in pre-season. If he remains for the next 30 months we could set a record for fielding the oldest starting 11.

Re: Moyes Out
"Leroys : obnoxious, arrogant cսnt is exactly what Moyes is. His behaviour toward anyone who asks a question which doesn't fit his narrative can be quite despicable. His threat to give a slap to a female journalist at Sunderland is probably the best/worst example into what can be a thorougly unpleasant character. I can see why some of his backroom team have left over time. He must be an absolute nightmare to work with. I wanted him gone two years ago so can't wait to see the back of him. Anyway, the season is finished. There's no way we're getting into Europe again. Moyes has been fucking that up since January. So give him the elbow now, get Noble or someone to do a caretaker role while the board get in a new coach in plenty of time for the new season."

Re: Moyes Out
"I'm not even worried about Moyes now, it's pretty clear that he is going, he's almost admitted it himself, but like a lot of things it will still be a relief once it's confirmed. I'm not reading too much into the Sarri link, don't doubt that he's a good coach and an intelligent bloke, but I don't see him as a good fit for us. Tuchel, I can see the fit, assume he knows the scarf quite well and recall him being angry when Chelsea sacked him as he loved living in London and had moved the family over too and loves the PL."

Re: Moyes Out
So those fans who think he's the Moyesiah can rejoice in the idea that he has five games and fifteen potential points with which to save his ass. And those who think he is the human epitome of weekend-ruining BoreBall and should be binned can look at the fixture list and think he's likely to have to explain mid-table obscurity to everybody come mid-May.

Re: Moyes Out
"If we finish 9th or 10th, then the consideration for the board will be simple: mid-table obscurity, no European place and all while playing possession-less BoreBall that regularly leaves fans emptying the stadium long before the end of matches."

Re: Moyes Out
"All this whataboutery is immaterial right now: Moyes has five games to save his job. IF he somehow manages to secure 7th place and another run in Europe, he will almost certainly be given a new contract (probably two years). But that's a big 'if', considering we still have to play Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City - and have a London derby against Palace (we seem shit in derby matches at the moment: look what Fulahm did to us over two games). If, as looks more likely, we fade away and lose to Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City, then we will most likely finish 9th or even 10th. And, as many people have pointed out, given the money we've spent and the players we have going forward (Paqueta, Kudus and Bowen - big money on JWP and Alvarez etc), that will be an underachievement. And that will be on Moyes. In a sense, the rows about his style are important to fans. But results will determine what the board does. I think finishing 10th will be the end of him."
Re: Moyes Out
"Westside 1:54 Fri Apr 19 It's completely ridiculous to have this notion that Moyes saved us from relegation when Bilic was sacked after just 11 games. At that point we were just 6 points behind 8th place. Palace were bottom with 4 points from 11 games. They finished higher than us. Bournemouth were 17th with one more point than us. They kept faith with Howe and finished above us as well. As for the Pellegrini season, if anything saved us from relegation it was the lockdown. Prior to that our form under Moyes was a lot worse than under Pellegrini, and he didn't have Fabianski out for 3 months."

"""And it's a total fucking myth Moyes ""Saved us"" from relegation under his predecessors, the only time it genuinely looked bad was in fact last season going close to the wire late on in the season, not around Oct/Dec time for Bilic and Pellegrini respectively."" When Bilic was sacked, we were 18th, only having won 2 league games in the season. When Pelligrini was sacked, we were 17th, 1 point above 18th, after 9 defeats in 12 games. Both those situations look as bad as Moyes's last season, They owners could have course, stuck with the incumbent managers and may have avoided relegation (unlike when they stuck with Grant)."

Re: Moyes Out
I don't hate the man. Far from it. He's definitely not in the Alardyce box even if his football is similar. He is painful to watch though. Last night we were desperately in need of a change and he clearly made the decision to bring Cornet on. From making that decision to Cornet getting on the pitch took over 12 minutes. I know because I was watching. Eventually he came on with less than 10 minutes left. That is phenomenal indecision and is Moyes to a tee. Absolutely terrified of doing anything and always fear-first football.

Re: Moyes Out
He should be got rid of as we are now having to rebuild a team this summer rather than just adding decent back in the squad which he doesn't use anyways........

Re: Moyes Out
"WD40 ""Get your pound of flesh soon so calm down you fools then inside 6 month your all be back starting a thread wanting the new bloke out."" That's just it, I won't want the next manager gone in a hurry, just as I was fine with Moyes staying on the 1st go at it and never wanted Pellegrini gone after only just over 1 season in charge, just as I didn't want Bilic gone after sn impressive 1st season and then having to take on the poison chalice of trying to settle us into a new hell hole of a stadium before it got redesigned better (under his work demanding for claret surroundings due to better pitch awareness/Stands built closer behind goals). I give all our managers more than enough time, just a shame a section of fans (usually the Moyes lovers) couldn't afford the same length of time to Moyes predecessors like Moyes is something much more special than Pellegrini who won a Cup for Betis before Moyes did for us and all his winning pedigree. And it's a total fucking myth Moyes ""Saved us"" from relegation under his predecessors, the only time it genuinely looked bad was in fact last season going close to the wire late on in the season, not around Oct/Dec time for Bilic and Pellegrini respectively."
Re: Moyes Out
"Has he gone yet? Last night was entirely on him. Too timid in first leg. Squad too thin. Players ran out of steam from playing too often. Out thought by a proper coach. Exactly the same as the Frankfurt game. Does not learn. Does not adapt. Does not progress. Does not use a squad. Does not make meaningful substitutions. Does not give youth any chance. Does not understand talent. Does not understand game management. Acts like a child, ""It's not my fault""; ""Not long ago West Ham were fighting relegation"", yes David, last year on your watch. Leverkusen were fighting relegation in 2022 and look at them now. cսnt."
Re: Moyes Out
"All about Sullivan, the board and Steidten now. We need decisive action asap. Sadly I think we will lose or at hest draw against Palace and have always felt a 12th or even 13h lower half finish. That should make the decision be beyond doubt. Stedten and a coach he can work with who is not insecure and bordering of narcissistic. Tuchel, Loptegui, Slot, Fonseca and even Gary Onwall and 4 or 5 young additiions and bring in some of the outstanding yoofs into the squad. Alvarez was magnificent last night, Kudus and Bowen Emerson and Areola all quality"
