"Yeah it hardly looks more progressive but I think thats what he thought? We never used to attempt to play out it was long hoof every time. And because we dont have the squad for it and Moyes cannot coach it , we are hopeless at it. We end up hoofing it again as we get tired secind half. But a team with median age of 30 odd and several players unable to trap a bag if cement, wouod have been better sticking with pure Moyesball to stop conceding so many We are a mess and time to part ways. Not for the first time, Sullivan pays the price for being too loyal or too scared ( media woukd have given him pelters for sacking euro winner moyes ) to make a change League form is always the yardstick and he's been going backwards since early 202"

"alf, a more progressive game? he let go of two of our very few progressive players in january and brought in a destroyer that hadn't played for two years. almost every game he has three central midfielders, with our only creative CM stuck out wide. he even played four CMs one game, the books is a fucking disaster and knows only one way"

"What I think we have also seen since xmas is Moyes trying to show he can get the team to play a more progressive game and keep possession better. We even have Fab now passing it out short rather than just those long hoofs. The CBs too trying to play out from the back and trying to play thru midfield. I guess his response to the critics of his style. A desperate attempt to show he could get his teams to play another way? Perhaps Heitinga was brought in to help with that? Unfortunately though, it failed miserably and sacrificed the one strength of Moyesball, the ability to defend. It has ended up being not one thing or another. But at its root, Moyes has not seemed to grasp that until last summer all the recruitment was his and aimed at getting players who could work in his Moyesball low block and counter system. So they lack pace and technique to be effective at playing the possession game. And no surprise as many of them are old or very old. Yesterday it was obvious that we are an old and slow team and this season again almost all our points this season becore xmas came from employing the Moyesball tactics"

"He's had 9 transfer windows, spent the best part of £400 million (the fifth highest net spend in Europe), and access to a really good crop of youth players. Those are the facts. He should have gone after Prague. The season is now going to dwindle into seeing if we get 9th/10th/11th, when we could still be pushing for a top six/seven spot and maybe even still be in Europe (although Bayer Leverkusen was always going to be tough). Whoever the next manager is going to be, its going to be difficult keeping our better players and signing upgrades on the current squad without European football next year. I blame Moyes for the squad and style of play. I blame the owners for not getting rid of him at the end of last season."

"What is never discussed by the media & so called experts is the fact of by him wanting a small squad and being in Europe, he puts all the clubs hopes for the season year in year out into there being no loss of form, injuries & suspensions. This can only be missed by idiots who are put up in front of us as the so called experts. I've never seen a sport with so much money have so many dense people as their mouthpieces""¶."

Sullivan will let it appear that Moyes is feeling its time to move on. A thank you for the Euro seasins and cup and overall decent tenure even if it was a season too long. Well thats my guess? It does miss an opportunity to use the next 4 games as a reset and beginning of a new era and motivate many players but thats Sullivan. His presence will always be an impediment to change and success but hopefully he will let Steidten do his job now

"By putting him on gardening leave means we don't have to sack him, just remove him from attending training, take his fucking cronies with him By employing people already at the club is a no cost option for Sullivan We need a fresh approach, we are in a malaise that is only going to get worse with Moyes stinking the place out"

"he needs to go now so that steidten and whoever the new manager is has time to prepare for next season. of course he won't because sullivan won't care risk not cashing in paqueta. like the rice fee, that money will be the transfer budget. no idea where two years of profit and tv money will have gone, but the little cսnt will delay for as long as possible so as little money is spent prove me wrong you parasite"

I doubt we sack him before the end of the season. But we'd be stupid not to put the wheels in motion now for who the next manger will be.

"Massive Attack 4:31 Mon Apr 22 Good post. But to remind you also Villa done us 4-1 and we let barcodes come back to win 4-3 from being 3-1 up. As you say, and all this with a bloke that has a reputation built on being hard to beat. So now we have a manager that is easy to beat AND plays negative football. Jesus, its a proper win double!"

"December 2024 ""What is your problem with Moyes? You are 6th in PL, still in League Cup, still in FA Cup and top of your EL group."" January 2024 ""What is your problem with Moyes? You are 7th in PL, still in League Cup, still in FA Cup and knock out stage of EL"" February 2024 ""What is your problem with Moyes? You are 7th in PL, still in FA Cup and knock out stage of EL"" March 2024 ""What is your problem with Moyes? You are 8th in PL, and 1/4 finals of EL."" April 2024 ""What is your problem with Moyes? You are top half of PL."" Anyone seeing the pattern? Fuck me, this cսnt should have gone a year ago. Wouldn't surprise me if this spiteful cսnt is deliberately sabotaging us now. Geezer could do even more damage between now and end of season. Get him out now and let Noble oversee until summer."

I see Sullivans mouthpiece. Has come out and said the clubs turnover this season is around the £368m mark . Yet the fanbase have to be careful what they wish for . There's underachieving and then there's Moyes and the dwarf.

"Moyes forte used to be about being hard to beat, defending excellently and player's knowing what it means to play for a Club. And yet we've now seen us being turned over with ease in 3 London Derbies within the space of the last 4 months. Fulham Away 5-0 Arsenal Home 6-0 Palace Away 5-2 And with all due respect to Fulham and Palace they ain't exactly prime Arsenal or Chelsea during the Abramovich era managing to both put 5 past us with ease - 7-0 on aggregate against the mighty Fulham without a single reply. That as well as Fulham doing the Double over us and us failing to beat Palace in either fixture this season too. As well as losing against Brentford once. That's totally unacceptable for a Club of our size and goes to show that the thing's that used to show Moyes is a more positive light has now also deserted him."
