What we spent on Ings and Phillips could easily pay for a high end Manager/Coach this summer. I personally feel the reason we have never payed compo with other teams with Managers was more of a Gold thing. Rather than Sullivan.?

"from what we are told / previous appointments, the board don't like to spend big on getting a manager out of their current contract. I just cant see the logic in that at all, surely spending between £5-10m on a decent proven manager that you want is a much smarter investment than giving a someone you got on a free or cheap that equivalent money to spend on transfers??"

"He would have got thanks during summer last year. he may even gone down as a legendary manager for us but his stubborn narcissistic ways have meant ill be kicking him up the arse on the way out when he goes this time. No thanks from me. He has left us in a shit and sorry state squad wise and holds us, the supporters, in about as much distain as we do for him. he has tried to use the media (his mates) to undermine us, he has stunted the growth and procession of youth to the first team and threw away a league cup quarter final AND held up the white flag against teams like fucking sheff utd in his tactics. He has pissed on the hertiage of west ham by making us kings of shithousery. Fuck off Moyes u cսnt. no thanks from me."

"Moyes is definitely not going to be sacked, but it's 99% certain he won't get a new contract,l suppose it's the best way out of this situation now Still an outside chance of 7th and European football, but even that won't get him a new contract He's gone, say goodbye at the Luton game and thanks for Prague and move on hoping for new manager and better football"

"Yeh, that is my sentiment also, but the more I allow myself run at it, the more I think there is an outside chance. 39 years old having only managed in Portugal, Liverpool may well see it as too high risk. Only really Chelsea take that sort of punt historically. He may see it as a way to get exposure, or use it as a shop window/stepping stone to a bigger Premier League job while getting a significant uplift in salary by doing it. We probably shouldn't be arrogant enough to only want someone that is committed to us indefinitely as if he did move on it would mean he's had success and we've been a good watch. Anyway, I still think Lopetegui is our next manager. I can't think of someone who ticks more of Sullivan's boxes outside of the main big names."

"Does anyone smell the influence of that dire sow Brady in all this hype about due diligence on the potential new manager? Season ticket renewal at it's lowest since we moved to the cesspit, another mindnumbing battering from a smaller club, then, as if by magic rumours appear that we are looking at some of the best coaches around. I wouldn't be surprised if, after a small spike in sales the rumours of negotiations stalling come out, the said managers land prime jobs and we head off to Primark for a Moyes replacement; Mourinho or the Spanish waiter come to mind. I might be a cynic but didn't we interview Klopp before he went to the bindippers? I doubt much will happen until Moyes's contract expires and I sense this current 'activity' is all about improving Brady's spreadsheet. Hope I am wrong and that there is genuinely something to get excited about."

"This has now become a ridiculous situation which Dithering Dave is completely to blame for. Moyes should be gone already and instead he is stinking the place out and ruining any of the good work he has done. We are becoming a mess and the fans and players have had enough. The performances and results for the last 4 months have been disastrous for this club. And yet, he is still here. Fucking criminal."

"And keep one eye on Potter and Carrick. They won't be ""first choices""ù (or shortlisted, or whatever term people want). But our top choices are also wanted elsewhere - and history has long shown that we're not great at competing for managers. Glenn Roeder anybody?! Amorim is still on Liverpool's radar, and other European clubs. Milan have one eye on Lopetegui."

"Moyes is clearly on his way in the summer - that much is now clear. He won't resign, though, and they won't replace him before his contract is up: what would be the point? There are four games to go - three against Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City. Nobody, not even a caretaker, would come in for those games just to get battered with a demotivated squad. It will all happen next month. He won us a trophy and we had some great nights. Let him wander off into retirement in rainy Glasgow, hopefully we learn the lessons of dinosaur football and don't repeat them."

"33 of our 48 points were from 2023. This year we've got a total of 15 points from 14 games. 2023 form would have put us 6th last season. 2024 form would have put us 14th, which is exactly where we finished last season."

"Leroys, however mealy mouthed you want to be about it, it's still a ridiculous notion that he would ever resign. I mean, the bloke already stated back in February that ""one way or another I'll see my contract out."""

Why the fuck would he resign? By his own reckoning I expect he thinks we've had a good season and he's done a great job here. I'd be more surprised if he thinks he doesn't deserve a new and improved contract.

"Would not be at all surprised if Moyes doesn't resign It brings back the narrative to him, the put upon manager who is being cast aside by the ungrateful club. He then gets the moral high ground with the media"

"moyes is a man being marched to the gallows. his fate is sealed, but how he meets that fate will go some way towards how he's remembered. go with dignity david. no petulance, no spitting feathers, just a sense of gratitude for the opportunity this wonderful club gave to you."
