I really like Gordon, he never slows things down and just gets the ball in. His direct style is much better

I reckon 95% of the stadium support either Liverpool or Man Utd. And hardly any of them will come from the England end.

This game has the feel of a West Ham cup game against lower league opposition. The Irish and the fans are right up for it.

Love that the camera went straight to the ‘Jack Charlton is a hero’ flag straight after the ‘snakes’ flag. Beautiful.

I see Carsley says he doesn’t sing either anthem before games as he wants to focus on the football
Will at least give the tabloids & social media something to talk about if the game is dull

just saw an interview with lee carsley and aside from having a manner more befitting someone getting a job centre grilling after a couple of missed appointments, he did pick a football up with one hand from the top through sheer grip strength. you'd never see southgate do that.

I see the likes of Foden, Watkins & another (Saka?) have withdrawn from the squad
Personally feel that if you are named in an international squad & withdraw you should miss the next Premier league game

Because of his recent injury Mexico have excused Alvarez so he can stay in London & work on his fitness.
Sensible decision & completely different situation
