The Official Cowdenbeath 2024-25 Season Thread - Scottish Lowland Football League
Yes, it is the thread you have all been waiting for. The mighty COO go once again in 2024/2025 and I am going to stick my neck out and say that the COO will walk the league this season and win it by a record margin with a record points haul.
After some consolidation in recent seasons the whispers coming out from the staff, players, manager, executives and fans is one of absolute confidence which is refreshing to see and hear.
Nothing will stop us this season, and I don’t even want to hear about the scum from Kelty Hearts, they mean NOTHING to us.

MATCH PREVIEW
BROXBURN ATHLETIC (A)
In a month dominated by various cup games we play our first and only Park’s Motor Group Lowland League game in September as we head over the River Forth to face Broxburn Athletic at Albyn Park with a 3pm kick off.
Our lack of league activity has seen us drop down to 15th in the table while The Brox currently sit in sixth place after what has been a good start in their debut season at this level.
Our only previous meetings came in the Scottish Cup during season 2019-20 when after a 1-1 draw at Central Park when the visitors grabbed a late equaliser we went down 3-0 in the replay.
THE OPPOSITION
Managed by Steve Pitman who will be remembered by older supporters for his time with East Fife he was capped by the USA and I actually saw him play for Fort Lauderdale Strikers in a game against Colorado Rapids in a game which followed a USA v Scotland game at the Mile High Stadium in Denver in the build up to Euro 92!
The West Lothian side won the East of Scotland Premier Division last season and the subsequent play off against Dalbeattie Star with an aggregate score of 12-2.
So far they have won 5 of their 9 Park’s Motor Group Lowland League games against Broomhill (3-1), Albion Rovers (3-0), Cumbernauld Colts (3-0), Gala Fairydean Rovers (3-0) and Gretna 2008 (2-0).
There has been 1 draw against Bo’ness United in the West Lothian derby and defeats from Linlithgow Rose (2-6) in another derby along with reverses against East Kilbride (1-4) and University of Stirling (1-2).
In the Car Mat Kings South Challenge Cup they have had away wins at Ardrossan Winton Rovers (4-3) and last Saturday against Nithsdale Wanderers (10-2).
MATCH OFFICIALS
REFEREE – Cameron Stirling
ASSISTANT REFEREES – Steve Adair & Howard Wilkin
ADMISSION
Adults - £10 | Concessions - £6 | Ages 12-16 - £3 | Under 12s - FREE

Still sinking in.
Anyone know when the draw for the third round is?
I’d love it if we drew Kilbirnie Ladeside or Auchinleck Talbot away. Grounds I’ve never been to.
Failing that, a home tie against Linton Hotspur and tear them apart.

These cup matches against lower level clubs are always a potential banana skin, especially away from home. Well played to the lads for keeping their nerve and putting Ormiston Wossname well and truly to the sword.

Re: The Official Cowdenbeath 2024-25 Season Thread - Scottish Lowland Football League
A massive weekend for the COO' coming up as we travel to play ORMISTON PRIMROSE on Saturday September 14th, 2024 @ 2:30pm in the SOUTH CHALLENGE CUP.
It is games like these that bring out the best in us and I have been reliably informed we'll be taking a string contingent of away Dan's for this fixture.
Unfortunately I'll be in Spain from tomorrow so cannot attend and I'm GUTTED.
I should also add that for those attending you can get a train from Cowdenbeath to Edinburgh and then change for Wallyford. Stay safe!

Duke, I’m not on X (formerly known as TWITTER) as I’m a complete Luddite.
clips like that though are most welcome on this thread, that brings fans from across the COOs diaspora together.
I can watch the one off clips like that for some reason, but have to sign up for anything further.
please keep ‘em coming.
