Awful for a lot of the game with some piss poor selections from the beginning like Soucek as an attacking midfielder and Mavropanos still ahead of Todibo. Slight improvement 2nd half and at least looked like trying to get back in to it, which we eventually did.

One good thing I did like from the game from the manager was making earlier subs and plenty of them whilst it wasn't working out. Instead of the 92nd minute or not used at all, at least Ings was brought on with enough time for us to get a result. That wouldn't have happened before.

Teething problems and players still needing a fair but of time to bed in and once the season starts to settle down and everyone becomes more familiar with the tactics and playing with one another, with more of our better players starting like Todibo and Soler, then I expect us to do much better that this side is capable of.

At the start of the season, it's gone as expected with so much upheaval on and off the pitch. Not the best start but certainly not the worst either, losing only to the Champions and an impressive Villa side from last season under Emery.

That has to be the end of the Moyes regulars.

I don’t want Antonio ever playing again. He has never been blessed with brains and football intelligence but now he doesn’t even have the legs that made him slightly useful. Painful to watch, and what the fuck are these supposed long throws?

Soucek is ok to throw on when you’re going to pump balls into the box, but madness not to have a creative ball player in with Guido and Alvarez.

Very happy about Ings finally getting a chance in a side that will allow him to score goals. He’s going to play a part this season.

The question I have is how come everyone on here, and no doubt elsewhere, knew what the side/formation should be but the highly paid manager didn't?? Will he do the same again next week or has the prick finally woke up and smelt the coffee? Arsehole fucking lucky.

A hell off a lot of work to do, to say the least.

I can only imagine its them being professional managers, plus they see the players play in training week in week out, plus they know the players personally, and we only get to judge them on a 90 minute tv feed once a week, just a guess though

Yep, and we were right and he was wrong. Hopefully he knows that now but won't hold my breath.

360 - Liverpool game is week after next. This manager claims he watched all our games last season?? Fella appears clueless, but let's see what he does next week, he's avoided a load of shit thanks to Ings doing what he does best.

We were a lot better 2nd half but relative to the first half that was not hard.

Loppy has given the old Moyes boys a go and they’ve come up short so should not start messing up squad harmony sulking in the background. Thats the only reason I can think of selecting Soucek and Antonio.

Fulham pressed us very well and are a well organised outfit under Silva. They will be a mid table team imo. I’d have taken a point at HT .

We still lavk a cutting edge and Kudus was poor today imo. Travelled back from Ghana so posdibly tited etc.  Summerville gives us another outlet and Soler, not quite used to Prem pace hence booking, looks promising. Alvarez and Rodriguez can play too. We were the better team 2nd half so good to get something in the end.

first half was lole Moyed never left but saw tjem « green shoots » 2nd half.

if only we had got Duran ☹️

I'm wondering that too. It makes no sense. Every knew what would happen with that 1st half side against a side like Fulham. Everyone apart from the manager? Did he have one eye on the Liverpool game?

If not, then it's pretty worrying. The only thing I have going for him is he is willing to make the subs and his ego doesnt seem to get in the way like the last boss.

If Bowen isnt up front then Danny Ings should start and I'm not joking, at least until Fulkrug is fit and we give him a proper go. Don't want to see Soucek start a game ever again, certainly not when we already have two holding mids along side. I liked what I saw from  Summerville. Kudus HAS to start on the right.

Ings offers more than Antonio in this setup, because the ball doesn't bounce off of him like a concrete wall.

A fortunate point in the end.

J Lo got it all wrong with the team selection should have started with the second half set up just like I said on the other thread before the game.

Fulham much better on the ball, gave us a schooling on how to play football in tight spaces, they were running rings around us.

in the end Fulhams finishing let them down.

Stavros is still a liability at the back and constantly fails to find the target when we have a corner.

Better the second half but we are a long way away from being a good side still.

Onwards and Upwards!

A fortuitous point that we barely deserved, Fulham could have been out of sight. We never have up tho and we'll take it!

I hope Lop is learning from this. Antonio starting cant happen anymore. We completely squandered the first half and surrendered all the initiative to Fulham. That we managed to keep it to one was fortunate.

Much better second half, although we have start ticking going forward. Taking nothing away from Fulham who look a decent side.

Was down for a draw. So not surprised with the result. But seen enough of our new manager to know this is going to be a long season. Bizarre starting 11. Lucky to rescue the point. At least he made the subs at half time. Wouldn’t have seen that with Moyes.
