How did Ings get on last night?

Scored the equaliser against Fulham and was rewarded with another seat on the bench against Chelsea.

With Antonio playing shit, isn't it time we gave him at least a few games in the team to see if he can contribute?

Can't be easy for him building any momentum or finding any form coming in and out of the team so often.

At the moment with Alvarez out it's a choice between Soucek, Rodriguez or both.  Given the team lacks leaders, and Rodriguez has looked horribly off the pace of the league (plus Rodriguez got hooked after 35 mins in the last game) I'd be thinking Soucek over him...at least Soucek has some fight, some potential output, and can make meaningful contribution sin both boxes....expecially defending corners where we're also looking weak as shit.

If Alvarez was available maybe a different story, but for me Soucek starts over Rodriguez currently.

Brentford are a decent team who are very difficult to play against as they press like maniacs, don't allow you any time or space.
I fear the way we are playing currently will play right into their hands and they will have a field day.

                Soler                     Paqeta

Bowen  (c)             Kudus                  Summerville

Some how he has to find a way of getting a functional unit out of Bowen and Kudus, that doesn't nullify Bowen's strengths but also leverages the things Kudus is good at (Strength, running in behind, carrying the ball, holding off his man).

Time to stick him up front...he's got more 'successful take ons' than anyone in the league already...stick him in a position (up against the least defender) where that actually means something other than just beating someone to then run into someone else.

Soucek has to play as he's the only one with any kind of leadership quality or presence in central midfield despite all his obvious limitations.

Play him deep, get him to keep it super simple....lay offs to Soler and Paqueta, win second balls in the air, shield in front of our box.

Fancy 1-1 in this game.  The clownshow limps on, with an increasingly un-entertaining act.

Do you realize that picking Soucek, mr Lopetegui wil out him on the right side in a 3 man defensive line, with Bissaka and Emerson pushing upwards?
Soucek isnt good enough for neither positions in my view.

I hope he will scrap the 3241 nonsense and go for a proper 433 (yes i noen Pep plays this way, but come on...)

Areola
Bissaka Todibo Kilman Emerson
Paqueta Soler Rodriguez
Bowen Kudus Summerville.

Yes, no striker because we haven't one..

Considering Fullkrug was not even on the bench last night I see another team sheet with Antonio's name on it. Just guess work with the midfield at the moment. I go for a narrow 2-1 defeat in a far from pretty game.

I think we should go stikerless too and play Kudus and Bowen as alternating false 9s.

However, I fear given Antonio looked lively when he came on last evening, that 'loser Lop' will shoehorn him back in.

Maybe we should go striker less with Bowen, Kudus, Summerville as three shadow strikers in FM parlance!  Or maybe even try Kudus as a striker although Antonio did ok when he came on last night.  Defence, no bloody idea but surely have to give Todibo a go with Kilman with a bit more pace with Wan-Bissaka and Emerson flanking, but tell Todibo to toughen up and stop turning his back.

Reckon it's pretty obvious what the team should be.  I doubt the manager picks it though.

Let's hope he's not stupid enough to pick Alverez though.

You're dropping BOWEN?
Yep, Kudus is better wide right and Antonio looked good last night. Bowen has been poor, needs a rocket up him so can be dropped

Why is nobody picking Edson, I'm sure COYI has said he can play and will be along any moment to tell us all how he's called it right as usual...

Miike’s team only with Kudus in the middle. Bowen has to be out wide to exploit the space created by using Soler and Paqueta in the middle

I think we will get at least a point. As for guessing/predicting the team, whatever it is that you lot do, no, not for me, I'll wait until 13.45 on Saturday for the team.
