I was thoroughly looking forward to the start of this season

Was also prepared that things might take some time and wasn't expecting miracles over night What I didn't expect was a manager who after spending 6 weeks with the total dross he'd been left by Moyes would deem them fit to start in a premier league game And low and behold all of them played absolute shit

We're now 1 game in and none of our new players are any closer to bedding in or learning anything from their new team mates cos they barely spent a second on the pitch, half of them not at all I think it's gonna take somewhere between 6-10 games before we see the team anyone with an ounce of sense would play cos this bloke can't identify shit when he see's it I thought we was handed a miracle at half time when we went in level and low and behold he changed nothing I'm sure people are gonna make excuses for him and say it's too early to judge

Now Im not exactly seeing any “green shoots” yet but will give it the minimum 10 games.  What I have seen is unprecedented levels of hyperbole in the media and web sites etc with the usual sensationalist wording where a casual comment is taken out if context and called “jibe”, “rant” at the new coach. There is this self serving narrative with ex pros with revisionist views on Moyes who probably is the last remaining English manager that existed from when they played. So of course they value that link to them because “its all about them” just like many fans on fan forums .   Loppy getting the tin tack means web site hits, people paying attention to stories about West Ham I suppose?

If he was going to sell as his main intention, it would have been when the mythical clause as part of the stadium deal expired- at least on the assumption it has expired already and it's not 10 years or something? Only possible thing that might be holding anything up otherwise is the Gold family shares? Kretinsky doesn't seem interested in owning the club though and no noise from the other shareholders and no-one else seems to want to touch us with a barge pole. I imagine there's a stupidly inflated asking price. I've no idea why anyone in their right mind would want to be a minority shareholder to Sullivan if they were not planning a takeover.
