What a fucking car crash of a Club they have truly become. Just got knocked out the League Cup at home to Southampton, off the back of a horrific start to a new season.

Is this the season they finally go down, on the eve of going in to their new poncey Stadium next season? I do hope so.

Everton need to stay up for very obvious reasons  and there is not one manager anywhere who can absolutely guarantee that. Can understand why they wouldn't give it to Baines even in the short term. He has been managing the under 18s but that is kick around stuff compared to the pressure cooker that is a tight relegation battle. Saying that, he knows the club and players and like I said, even an experienced bloke couldn't guarantee there safety. Going to be an interesting 2nd half of the season for sure.

Back in the day a club like Everton would have given a first team coach the role after sacking the manager. I.e. Leighton Baines.

These days, young British managers don't get opportunities as clubs covet the latest fancy dan foreign managerial import. No doubt Everton will appoint someone like Concencao or Mourinho for the glitz factor.

No wonder there is currently only 2 English managers in the Premier League. A shocking state of affairs.

Don't want to be the doomster, but I am very concerned about the likelihood of Moyes taking that job before Christmas and them finishing above us. It's going to happen isn't it. You know it.

With all due respect to Everton . A fantastic football club. But when you look at our squad compared to there current  one  no comparison whatsoever. As shit as we've been any semi decent manager would see us finish way ahead of them .  Toffeemen  supporters who don't want Moyes are 100 % correct as well .  A total busted flush .

As to the reasons why I think Everton will go down this season, is their Squad is bereft of real quality running through it. Bar the currently injured Branthwaite (who is shit hot), Pickford, McNeil and to a lesser extent Calvert Lewin, they don't have much more quality than that to call upon and they don't have a great deal of money to improve it come January as it currently stands (unless an unexpected Takeover happens) before they sell again.

And because they haven’t got a pot to piss in and lack a lot of quality, they're having to rely heavily on many old biddies in their starting line-up in the Premier League like Gueye 35, Young 39, Coleman 36*, Keane 32*, Tarkowski 32*, Doucoure 32* defensively in the starting line-up and all are as slow as arseholes.

It's only the start of the season too and already they look knackered, lack energy, ideas or look like a cohesive Team. 

- Dicked by Brighton 0-3 at Home
- Dicked by the out of form Spurs 4-0 Away
- Lose a 2 goal lead at home in the last 5 minutes to Bournemouth 3-2
- Lose a 2-0 lead again in a matter of weeks 3-2 to Villa 
- Lose to newly promoted Southampthon at Home on Penalties in the Cup already 

It's not just all the poor results, it's also the manner of them as well, losing easily at Home and this is supposed to be their swansong last season at Goodison Park when you should be able to rely on a buoyant positive atmosphere much like we enjoyed. Not this time, at any given moment the atmosphere there turns ugly very quickly. 

The place was super toxic before this season starter with everything going on behind the scenes and it's only going to get worse after such a horrific start to the new season and injuries/suspensions haven't even kicked in yet. They are in serious trouble. 

With further distractions off the pitch with Usmanov now after Moshiri, it's looking more and more like a Football Club to avoid, rather than 1 to suddenly step in and take on..

As diabolical as they are, Dom Calvert-Ballbag would walk into our starting eleven up top. I was almost sick in my mouth when I saw him linked to us in the summer but now I'd take him ahead of Antonio and Ings and possibly the lumbering German. What a fucking shambles.

I'd love Everton to drop but they'll scrape survival I reckon.

Let's be honest this Dyche thing is only a convo on here 'coz we'd love to see Moyes go in there to hopefully take them down. The reality though is that Dyche still has some credit in the bank there, the situation is complicated with the club for sale, and as Ox points out they have some winnable games now and could be mid table by month end. In short, I doubt ginge will be going anywhere soon.

If they win (against Leicester City) at the weekend, and Crystal Palace (home to Manchester United), and with Southampton playing Ipswich, they could end up in 14th place come Saturday evening. They then face Palace the following week so could well end up lower mid-table, and with the other dross about that would be theirs to lose.

Early days yet where a win can move a team 4/5 places up the nascent league table.
