This from the Guardian report made me laugh...

United’s disbelief was vast when Coote was sent to the monitor. Darren Fletcher, United’s first-team coach, leapt from his seat in the press box and screamed: “Every fucking week!” He was no longer there to see Bowen, after a long delay, win the game for West Ham by sliding his spot-kick beyond Onana.

Im not sure if De Ligt gets a touch on the ball.

For argument’s sake let’s say he does - it doesn’t matter. He’s out of control and follows through into Ings.

In this day and age, you can’t do that.

If people don’t like the rule, then go back to the old rule, whereby, if the defender gets a touch on the ball, it’s a fair tackle.

And even if it wasn’t a penalty ( it was ) it’s about fucking time we’ve had a dodgy decision go for us against them cunts.

All that’s left for me to say on the matter, is…fuck Man United, fuck their glory hunting shit cսnt fans,  and fuck all their sycophantic, cock sucking, shitcunt ‘friends’ in the media.

I was shocked at that decision too. It goes against the history of my watching this fixture for the last 57 years.

The result was fantastic but we should have been 2 or 3 down first half. The same high line, advanced backs issue causing multiple very dangerous counter attacks as they have all season.

2nd half we were better and did enough to edge it 2-1.

The problem of us not having the players to execute the tactics remains an issue and probably not solved until summer.

Wan Bissaka was excellent, Alvarez was good too imo and thought Summerville gave us another dimension with his pace.  Old man Fab did well too.

thankful for the points but we definitely got the “rub of the green” today and the Loppy system is still very risky imo with the players we have

I can't credit him Ron

He got away with his initial team selection entirely due to bad finishing on the part of the opposition. He picked the hapless Paqueta and the woeful Soler (who, let's not forget, he was desperate to have at the club) and was rescued by Summerville

And can all those who have been asking to see more of Soler please stand down? I'd rather see Earthy

Diabolical first half, where we looked like a Sunday league side. Lucky not to be 3 down. What a transformation the second half was though. Definitely the better team after the break and its goals that count. I’ll take the 3 points and just hope we continue that second half form. ⚒⚒

Lopetegui has 45 minutes left at the club, thank god.

Another woeful, shambolic, clueless performance.
As soon as I saw this at HT, I thought we might win. What a plum.

Awful first half but if we are going to kill him when it’s bad, we should credit him when he makes changes to change the flow of the game.

Not sure if this is a corner turned but will respect the 3 points. Outrageous pen decision, what happened to clear and obvious? Jimmy has to stay in the side now. Have to say I've been a critic of Alvarez but thought he was superb today, as was AWB.

Now let's see of baldy goes tomorrow.

Fluke first goal and a gifted penalty, 99 times out of 100 we’d never get.

Great 3 points to get though and the effort and team spirit was as good in that second half as it’s been under Lopetegui.

But 3 half time subs is a massive red flag. Like he’s just desperately throwing shit to see what sticks.

Hopefully a kick start to our season.

What a brilliant finish of what looked to be a disappointment.

Inga and Summerville have to start the next few games.
Paqueta and Antonio can sulk together on the bench.

Smart move to also giva Areola some slack.

If only our managers read who...

Scratching my head at how we won that, let alone scoring twice and only conceding one. Well happy though, even if it does prolong loppy here. Off to make a rice Sunday roast now. Having a lovely Sunday!

I think on another day we could have lost this let alone won it, had Man U taken their chances.

WE DID deserve something based on the second half. Credit to Lop with the Subs, but he has to learn something from that second half. Summerville should be nailed on, he has arrived!

12 minutes injury time but the Ref gives them another two minutes to find an equalizer!

Didn't see first half but reading the posts on here it looked like it was one way traffic and we could have been three or four down.  So was surprised to see us come out with three defensive midfielders and play quite well,.  Thought Antonio led the line really well, Summerville must start next game and let's face it Wan-Bissaka is too good for us!  Surely they must look at him as a long term replacement for Kyle Walker with England.  Still think the old issue of us looking vulnerable after scoring was there and it wasn't a penalty but who cares, a great win and hopefully a confidence builder.  Doubt we will get much credit on MOTD though, it will be all about how lucky we were but again, who cares.

That was insane, even by our standards.

One of the worst first halves I’ve seen in years, and a criminal penalty decision on our favour.

Todibo and Somerville made a big difference in that 2nd half - and Lopetegui (still not sure about him) at least made the changes. That STUPID full-back thing is still proper mad.

But Bwahahahahaha!

Would never have seen this after the first half.

Absolute gift of a penalty, but, as better people than me have said, I'll take that all day long

hahahahahah!!!!
sofest penalty I've seen given for us lol
Well done.. Team looked a bit different to me in the 2nd half. Whatever he jigged around made us look way different to a Moyes team. I wouldn't have minded a draw because I could finally see us playing "football".
 Good stuff!
