He should have taken a booking in the Arsenal game, that way he'd have been suspended for the game he's away for.

I'm sure, for him, it wouldn't have been too difficult to take a sneaky booking,.

Was calling for him to be dropped awhile ago and even more so because he was planning to go Brazil in relation to his ALLEGED betting scam around the time we play Leicester.

It's been a wasted opportunity to try something different during our piss porm form and perserving with him has not done him or the Team any favours.

Lopetegui has badly mismanaged the situation hoping he'd eventually come good but it just never materialised and he should have acted sooner.

Fuck him off to the bench to bring on as a Sub when he returns and give Andy Irving a go, he can't play any worse than the illegal betting machine. ALLEGEDLY!

Must admit, I also find it frustrating to watch how, when we are playing a high line, Paqueta’s balls are frequently intercepted by defences that have had all the time in the world not only to get back in position but practically put out a full-hamper picnic in the danger zone. However, I must admit I did not attribute this to his decision making but the slowness of our build-up play in the new regime as a unit. But now I understand he wouldn’t be here at all if he had his head screwed on right. It all makes sense now *looks around for service pistol in desk drawer

Oh, bore off ffs.
Bore off, yep totally made up his excellent form at the end of the season including the brilliant ball for Bowen in Prague, plus having the best stats in the top 5 leagues in Europe at the beginning of last season that enticed Pep to want to spend £85 million on him before his form fell off a cliff . Yep I imagined that. I suppose you know better than him too... Yep you're right he's always been shit and never good...

Give it a rest pickle, the fella hasn't had a good game all calendar year ffs. And who will give the ball to them if he ain't playing?
Are you suggesting Paqueta is the only player in the side giving the ball away? Have you seen what happens when Antonio is anywhere near it?
What’s frustrating about Paq is that he has the talent to keep the ball and Antonio doesn’t. Paq’s problem isn’t his ability, it’s his decision making.

Don’t people find it strange that a 1st team Brazilian midfielder/playmaker plays for West Ham rather than a top 6 European side? Im sure every coach looks at the way he plays and says nah..
Maybe Pep thinks that he can coach it out of him, I dunno. But in a possession based side that wants to keep the ball you can’t keep watching your player receive the ball and get dispossessed because he decides to shield it for 10 minutes!

Ive noticed that as we try to play further up and keep the ball paq’s playing is worse. It’s as if the counter attack, kick and run style suits him more as he doesn’t have to be as disciplined with his passing.

someone just needs to tell him to stop fucking about and look for the pass 1st instead of showboating every second. Look at DeBruyne, you don’t see that shit from him. 10 x more productive and still gives you the same chips for assist etc.  Paq could be a genuine super star if he tried.

I don't hate him. I just don't think he's playing at all well and for the sake of both him and us he now needs a spell on the bench.

Funnily enough pickle, that’s exactly how your posts come across. You’ve chosen this hill to die upon and refuse to see the obvious.
Paqueta has been piss poor in every game, he’s a liability on both sides of the ball.

Forest fans won’t give a shit if he plays or not…… like you actually know any Forest fans or ever watch them.
The way forest play they’ll be desperate for him to start so they can nick the ball in dangerous areas.

Bloke is so talented and such a fucking West Ham thing to happen.

He started playing crap way before this other nonsense came up, let's not reinvent history, and why is it an excuse anyway not to be able to pass the ball five yards and always getting caught in possession? The reality is he's never been that great as his career stats state. And for the record, I've always quite liked him too, he's a grafter and performs, or use to, a few tricks on the halfway line, but a great player/game changer? not in a million years.

Now you’re just showing yourself up. Have you worked out how to use the quotation function on this site yet, toner boy?

The setup first half would have made Pirlo in his pomp look shit and as for that booking he picked up - do you even know what happened there?

Have you actually watched us much this season or in fact this year? Like been to a game live and seen Paqueta?

I was on here before the betting stuff come out saying bite anyones hand off for £85M a he is so overated.

Think Lingard has more open play goals for us and he was only here for a few months.

He does give the ball away most of the time now, either by trying a spin or a ball that isn't on. This season his favourite thing to do seems to be receive the ball in the no 10 position look up and scoop an impossible ball over the centre halves which goes straight to the keeper.

He needs a spell on the bench but the team needs him there even more. He simply isn't good enough at the moment and hasn't been for a long time.

Definitely a West Ham Way thing...

And I'm not even convinced he does create chances, certainly anywhere near he once did, with passing completion stats worse than Souceks and Soucek has mainly been played alongside him this season in that 4141 formation.

Anyway you slice it, Paquetas form is shocking for his undoubted talent with 0 Assists, 0 2nd Assists and just 9 key passes, the same again as Soucek, with only a Penalty goal and a piss easy tap-in courtesy of Bowens excellent creative play.

Such a shame as when he's on it, he takes us to a whole new quality level but those days are way in the past now and pains me to say we have to drop him. It's been long overdue as it is.

You reckon the place for him to sort his head out is the bench, fraser? See, I have my doubts and to call him a liability on the pitch is simply unhelpful.

Indeed we were. When he's in this poor form and mental state, he's a dead weight to our side that we're having to drag along with us in every gamw these day's. Struggling to remember the last time he had a good game, let alone a man of the match performance.

We can play 3 up top including Bowen, Summerville and Ings, whilst having having a competitive midfield 3 behind them against Forest including Alvarez, Soucek and Soler.

There's goals in that line up against Forest and Paqueta only has a penalty goal and 1 assist to his name all season after 11 matches, so it's not like we're massively missing out on his contributions. Time for a much needed change.
