Its down to whether we can put in a 90 min performance and the ref or something does not undo the good effort in the first 45 mins.

We will have to use subs to keep up the pressing / running or they will run riot in the middle.  Antonio at 35 aint lasting more than 60 mins either and then we lose our long out ball although saying that they just haul him to the ground.  Ings will need to show up as well as whoever else comes on

Will we survive the first 10 mins of the 2nd half?

After about 15min onwards I thought we were pretty poor.
Continually giving the ball away and silly errors that nearly cost a goal.

Better than everyone thought it would be (what a surprise)

I can't see them not scoring second half.

Would like to see more from Summerville.

The bar for 'acceptable' in our midfield appears to be so low these days. I yearn for the days when they positively influenced a game.

Fuck knows what some of you lot are watching, the way yous carry on focusing way too much on negatives rather than the positives..

That was a very impressive 1st half of Football away at notoriously difficult place to play against a quality side.

We are extremely brave the way we are trying to play exciting passing Football and for the most part in that half, we were excellent. Some of those 1 touch moves were shit hot, if only that Soler effort flew in - A typical Lopetegui 1 touch trademark.

Keep it up 2nd half West Ham, then we'll get a well deserved entertaining victory. 👏

We seen that half times either we pick up when down a goal or two or do like we did against Forest and Spurs 2nd half and essentially collapsed.  Cannot ever be confident. Just hope Lop makes changes at the right time because we have been chasing ( pressing actually pressing ) non stop and you cannot do that for 90 mins.

So far so good but who's confident?
But we didn't set with a low block did we? We ended up being low...

We really have to be switched on when we start the next half. A lot of our problem is concentration. Howe will make some changes that we need to watch for.

even if we don’t get something here, if we keep up how we play it would be a good away showing against a very good side.

I think Soler has been decent, carried the ball well. Yeah he messed up the pass on the first break.. But it was the right pass just not executed well. It's only his second start and he has improved, not hard I know but it's been positive.

Would be ok if we were better under pressure. Principle is draw the press to bring them up the pitch, to create space in behind and then play through it.

But we're not very good at it.

Whilst not having stellar games, balance of Paqueta, Soler and Soucek looks much better than any of the other combinations we've tried. Soucek playing the central deep role well, and the other two buzzing about and more comfortable to receive the ball.  Paqueta having a decent game. Soler ok, and at least makes himself available for it. Wan Bissaka not trying to stay high.

Emerson looks short on pace. Antonio just not quite good enough at the lay off ball. Summerville a bit light weight vs Joelinton and Livramento.

Bowen struggling to get into it from an attacking perspective (which is the by product of Antonio's deficiencies with the way we're playing) and frustration turning into pot shots from deep.

Desperately need to be better at resisting the Newcastle press. Need players to move earlier off the ball to create the angles to help the man being pressed .

If Todibo gets through this game without having gifted them a goal will be a miracle.

Apart from a few individual errors that could have lead to a goal again, this was a very good first half.

Haven't seen us so switched on for a long time.

Lost the midfield late in the half, so that have to be addressed.
We also have to make more out the possession and not given it away so easily.

Come on you Irons
