Good one Pickle, but referencing threads from circa 15 years ago is a bit fucking tragic.

Come on then, I’m still waiting for a list of all the goals Paqueta has created this season…….. you can add on January to May last season if you’re struggling.
fact is, our record signing has been mostly shit for something like 30+ games now.

Maybe Pickle was talking goals for the other side? He's certainly had a few assists.

Did you have to study to reach that level of pomposity or is it a natural trait?
Either way, congratulations, you really do excel when it comes to being a pompous wanker.

Re: Paqueta
Yes that’s right, I’m glad we’re getting somewhere - I disagree with the opinion that Paqueta is a liability, especially on the grounds you have presented. I’ve told you why and I’ve also told you why I think it is the opinion of a strange little person trying to ingratiate themselves with the braindead on here.
Good. Now we can get on with ignoring each other if that’s alright by you.

Hammer and Pickle" wrote: ↑05 Dec 2024, 14:27 Well why don’t you do something about demonstrating you are not trying, and trying far too hard, to ingratiate yourself with the brain-dead crowd? You are free to voice any opinion - why choose to label a player a liability as they do when it serves no other conceivable purpose?
Have a break H&P, it's just a football forum.

What was that about cod psychology? Go on, make an effort to say anything sensible ant all and I’ll be delighted to agree with you.
I don't see you laying out all the pro's and con's of all of your arguments H&P, just personal insults to anyone who says anything that you disagree with.
Hardly constructive, is it?

Still spouting the old cod psychology then?
BTW An obsession in psychiatry is an intrusive and and troubling unwanted thought, often with behaviours (compulsions) to try and cope with the distress. Hence Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. What you were describing in another post is an overvalued idea.

Re: Paqueta
Not particularly. It's a football forum, football can be a sport of dividing opinions and we are in a particularly volatile position right now.
But I criticised a player and you turned it into a personal insult - which says more about you than it does about me.
Ironic that in the same paragraph that you label be as un-constructive and obsessive, you claim that I am trying to be a part of a particularly brain-dead football crowd.

Re: Paqueta
I think your opinion reveals your view of Paqueta is unbalanced and totally unconstructive so it fulfils the criteria for a disorder like obsession at least in that respect. Also you seem to think that just because this site is what it is, you can go around here labelling the club’s prime assets as liabilities. Are you actually pretending to be surprised I’m having a go at you?

But then again, let’s be kind and just accept you are trying to be part of particularly brain-dead crowd that football tends to attract as a sport.
Secondly, I do not believe that labelling him a liability on a football forum will have any impact on restoring him to his best performances. Thankfully, West Ham United and Paqueta, do not come to this forum for coaching and guidance.
What I, and everyone else on here, come to this forum for, is to share our views and opinions on what is going on at the club.

He started last season on fire he had the best stats for any midfielder in the top 5 leagues in Europe, in fact he was so shit City were gonna buy him for £85 million.. Since then he has fallen off a cliff.
So he was in his best form for us when the accusations went against him.
But he's still involved in a large percentage of our goals. I thought he'd improved at home to Everton where he created three good chances and was Motm against Newcastle where he had most passes, most tackles won and created the most chances... I was hoping he'd finally turned a corner.. Wont judge him against Arsenal because the whole team were shit.
STILL refusing to criticize him despite doing fuck all for a year and costing us numerous goals with his appalling ''passing''. Some of you cult followers are just bizarre and wouldn't change your mind even if he scored a hattrick of own goals against Spurs.
You dopey cսnt which part of he's been poor for 18 months isn't criticising him. How is that giving him cult status.
Just because you're completely wrong about him being bang off form before these accusations came out.
He was going to City when they did, but according to you he had been not performing long before that. Yet City were going to pay £85 million for a player who hadn't been turning up for ages.. No it was because he was in excellent form... But you're saying he wasn't, he was and you're fucking wrong..

Re: Paqueta
He's not just under-performing, he's a liability at the moment.
Not creating goals and assists etc is one thing but he is a shoe in every single game now to give the opposition a chance or two to break by giving the ball away needlessly in a dangerous position.
Managed to do it against Leicester pretty early on with a side-footed easy pass straight to an opponent and it wasn't even a flick or trick that failed.
