So....on to the seagulls. Soler is suspended for this one, and Emerson is back...although I'd say Coufal was very good in the last game. Not clear yet if Todibo is recovered from his damaged toe.

My lineup
Fabianski

Coufal.  Todibo.   Kilman.  AWB

Soucek

Alvarez.        Paqueta

Bowen (c).     Fullkrug.          Kudus
Prediction:

The team once again has motivation through tragedy, with JLo's father passing away this week...I'd expect to seem them come out the blocks in this game.  Could be a basketball style match with us at home, Brighton playing a very high line, and also looking to get back with a win.

Score: 2-2 (Fullkrug, Kudus)

Yeah and when Moyes got results you spoke about performance. So what’s your point?
My point is your hypocrisy. Saying it was lucky but then elsewhere referencing similar Moyes games as highlights despite the huge dose of luck we got.

The performance today I described as tepid. Same as I did with Moyes.
And what about your hypocrisy ffs? Are you joking? All year last year we had to put up with you blowing up match day threads about performance, Regardless of results. And I said I was happy with the point, but then again based on that performance you have to be.
I called out huge slices of luck last season that papered over some cracks. I’m doing the same now.
That’s the opposite of hypocrisy.

Luck to get a point…

All that. Money spent …such poor quality performances all over…

yet again revert to back 5,,, invite pressure and almost lose the game…

Midfield Is slow weak and creates little…

Long season ahead…mid table at best

Need a forward, goalkeeper and athletic central midfielder desperately.  No complaints over Paqueta, Alvarez who did a decent job and we looked weaker imo when they went off.  Bowen moment of magic got us a draw we didnt really deserve. Kudus devent goal but he’s going to need to change how he plays as aside from getting the goal he was average.

No real corners being turned but we are at least not looking as open in transition as we were.
I say we need another center half before thing else.

When the performances under Moyes get criticised you talk about results and the league table halfway through the season.

Now the results are coming you are criticising how they come? But you wouldn’t with Moyes?

I'm sure Lopetegui's fan club will be on here soon with their analysis that defies the reality.

Massively underwhelming.

The longer the game went on there was only going to be one winner.

I'm sure Lopetegui's fan club will be on here soon with their analysis that defies the reality.

Well that was disappointing. We offered next to nothing and relied almost solely on set pieces. Even when we got an equalizer a minute after taking a dreadful Fullkrug off, we embarrassingly didn’t even go for the win and switched to a back 5 on the edge of our box.

A point isn’t too bad tbf. But we were very fortunate to get it, with Brighton being so wasteful.

Big fucking ‘meh’ to another performance. The result is okay again but I still don’t see what we’re actually trying to do.

Pretty toothless going forward.
Too easy to play against.

it’s been half a season now.

How many times can they fall over without getting touched and get a free kick?

We are a poor side though, it's painful to watch at times.

Clung on for a point. AWB saved us again there at the end - either him or Fabianski MOM. Brighton will wonder how they didn't win. They do play the fluid attacking football that we aspire to. As for us we badly need to sort the lack of pace out it was ruthlessly exposed. Scarles looked good again is a plus.

The difference here is we get a point at home against a good side PLAYING FOOTBALL!!

And not boring the fuck out of everyone, with 20% possession, 7 at the back bollocks. And then saying we should be thankful for the opportunity to watch that shit.

Well done lads.

Disgraceful two tier refereeing from the scouse scumbag. That nutcase they had at left back had a free pass all game yet our lot get booked for single fouls.  How many times did Mitoma stop the game with professional fouls?

We were very lucky on numerous occasions last season. What mattered then? The results or the performance?

Did you mention luck at Arsenal last season? Or spurs? Or Burnley? Or Everton?
