Happy with the win and clean sheet in the end considering the fire fighting we had to do with our players dropping like flies in the 1st half after a bright start. Once Fabianski went off along with Kilman our rhythm was understandably fucked but we still got the win avoiding the 'managerial bounce'.
Undefeated in 4 now, not conceding many like we once were, 6 points off 6th and no relegation dogfight in sight.
Everything you say is true, but football is meant to be entertaining and this is not. We are a very fortunate side at times, never more so than today. Nothing much has changed since Moyes departed. Depressing performances, flattering to deceive, pulling rabbits out of hats results wise to cover what are real problems. I think given the money we spent we could have done so much better, but time again gaps in the squad go unaddressed or we buy the wrong players and unless things change substantially on and off the pitch then where we are now is the best we can hope for this season IMHO. The Jan window will tell us much because I think we HAVE to be in the market.
