i can’t wait to hear how Bowen playing #9 is a defensive move.
It's just hilarious at this point.

That’s right. Let me break this down for you in a way you will perhaps be able to grasp.

A side can only start with 11 players.

Bowen is a winger. He is not a number 9.

Fullkrug is a number 9.

If you play Bowen in the middle instead of Fullkrug, you still have to fill the other positions. If you do that with another winger, or two other wingers all you still have is an attack made up of wide players. If then you use three midfielders, one of which at least is defensive, you effectively have five defenders at least, five nominally attacking players who don’t really know what they are supposed to be doing and a goalkeeper.

And what do you get from this recipe and ingredients? Well I suggest you watch the stodge we put out and pretend you enjoy it some more.
Just when I thought you couldn’t make yourself look anymore clueless!!
Bowen is currently a more effective #9 than Fullkrug. If he plays there than Summerville comes into the side and Kudus plays in his preferred position. Making the team more cohesive and therefore better.

The balance of the side stays the same. Same number of attacking players. The difference is you have a #9 who can actually move.

You cannot be this clueless, it just isn’t possible.

Hammered and Pickled genuinely believes we'd be more defensive with Bowen up top rather than Fullkrug. 😂

(When all available)

Soler Alvarez Paqueta

Kudus Bowen Summeville

That all day long rather than the lumbering German cart horse up top clogging it all up.

Alvarez Soler Orford

Kudus Bowen Summerville
I don't think Fab can play whether fit or not. His substitution was a concussion one, which means he can't play within six days.
I doubt any of the 3 that went off injured will play, not just Fabianski due to concussion protocols. We are fucked.

I'm obviously delighted we've picked up from points in the last few games to pretty much extinguish any threat from relegation dogfight this season, but the games have hardly been massively entertaining  Unless drawing with the likes of Bournemouth and Brighton, and a couple of scrappy wins against 2 awful teams floats your boat.

Let's see what the next 2 games bring.

Soucek is a goal machine and stalwart in defence, who is key to our recent run of two wins and two draws?

Well he’s out for the Liverpool game and we’re gonna get tonked so your funny story is safe for the time being.

Who's scored twice from open play by moving, as well as his other defensive duties.

Definitely sounded like you was describing him though
Apart from this one can actually score, move and last 90 minutes even whilst carrying an injury, Frase. Enjoy ya grub.

Because he struggles to keep up with the pace of the game. He runs like he's just been caught travelling through a black hole. ⚫️ 🏃‍♂️

He's great at corners as a glorified washing line bouncing balls off his nut though stood still.

Shocking signing.

Sat in a restaurant on the beach waiting for some food, I said to my Mrs you'd chomp straight away and come back with some Soucek stat, quicker than I thought to be fair.

It's such a shame we don't have a consistently fit clinical Striker up top to finish many of the chances we now create too.

I nodded off having to wait for the game to restart with almost 20 minutes added on time altogether due to us picking up so many injuries during the game. Not that the likes of Fabianski, Kilman, Soucek or Soler could do much about having to receive treatment.

The Team put in a big effort to win away under very difficult circumstances and proud of them because of it.

Yes Southampton are shit but we did manage to beat them when Fulham could only draw at home against them once Martin got the boot in their previous game.

With all the Christmas indulgence and the quality of our football it was very difficult not to nod off. Yes, riding lady luck. It's easy to predict a spanking by Liverpool. Lopetegui has already given us a few. I'll wait and see what Lopetegui pulls together. The defence has looked better since Leicester. Possession is ok, although too much passing about at the back. Attack is nice, but I want more. I think we can get away with a credible narrow loss or better.

Never understood the boring football criticism of Moyes, but even so I can't figure out how this is supposed to be better.

You do come across as having a bit of a crush on Lop, MA, as your defence of the man borders on illogical.  The football is dire, the team is a mess, and we're boring to watch.

I fear a massacre of Zulu proportions at the weekend.
Criticise many things and some of it is true, however a boring watch it most definitely isn't. That award went to Moyes.

Indeed, Cabbige. And he even received a yellow card in Moncurs honour too.

Interestingly I see Bowen officially became our 2nd highest Premier League goal scorers going 1 clear of Di Canio now with 48 goals. Soucek 17 goals behind on 31 just for a further bit of perspective as a shit Midfielder.

He worked hard for the Team helping us keep a clean sheet and managed to pick up yet another war wound on his leg this time for the cause. Full commitment, just what I like to see.

West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui has revealed that Lukasz Fabianski was conscious and talking after being forced off against Southampton due to a nasty collision.

Fabianski collided with Southampton defender Nathan Wood after he punched away a corner in the first half at St Mary’s. West Ham’s goalkeeper required extensive medical attention before he was placed on oxygen and taken off the pitch on a stretcher.

Lopetegui confirmed after the game that Fabianski did not go hospital was still at the stadium as Jarrod Bowen sealed West Ham’s 1-0 win with his goal in the 59th minute.

‘He had one big knock around the head, around the neck and he was not very sure about his actions,’ Lopetegui said of Fabianski. ‘Fortunately the news is he is talking, he is alert, he is conscious.

‘I spoke with him, the doctors say that he feels better and well. I am positive with him. ‘He showed he more or less recovered his sense. I am not afraid. We feared but now he is better and it is a positive feeling because we were very worried.’

Bowen said after the game: ‘It was tough [with Fabianski] but in those sorts of situations you have to leave it to the medical staff. ‘Of course we were all worried, but he’s been in the changing room and he’s in really good spirits, which is great. ‘We lost Max and Carlos as well, so it’s full credit to everyone. The players on the bench are always ready, and they showed that today. All the players are giving the manager big headaches, which is what you want'.

‘I think we’re in a good place right now, and we’re pleased our fans are going home happy. We go into two difficult games, but we’re full confidence and we’re looking to keep building.’
