Kilman as u say clearly unfit. Still punishing Todibo for calling him out ? 

No defence for the manager  on that and playimg players out of position. It doesnt work and never did.

AWB has had his worst game in weeks out of position, Emerson anonymous out if position, Bowen struggling out of position.  

These coaches try to be so clever with tactics. Play you’te best and fittest players in their correct positions.  It should be 1-5 in reality do we’ve got off lightly

 

You got it all wrong. The biggest problem is how we play in midfield. We give them.10 scoring opportunities, of course they will score.

 

 

 

 

Not sure why you think Alf is wrong .... Id always say play your players in their best positions too many here out of position... 
Lopetegui needs to sort out the whole fucking team... he keeps tinkering just pmay your strongest team with players in their natural positions... nothing wrong with that midfield if they work hard and together.. trouble is we seem to lack application.

On a positive note (I know I’ll get slaughtered)
At least before the goal, even though we rode our luck at times we looked at bit more composed in terms of passing the ball out of defence. General play didn’t look too bad, like we were starting to gel as a team. Obviously all that hard work goes out the window if you don’t concentrate massively when defending so much. 

This normally gives me hope that they can take that play into the next game but I thought we’d do that after Newcastle and then the guy changed the team and we were two steps back again. 

i doubt he gets the push after a Liverpool defeat as that puts him in the same group as nearly every manager in the league. Unless he ships 7 or something….

The bloke is a tinkering charlatan; yes, Liverpool are good but to start Coufal, put AW-B on the left, leave Tobido out and put Emerson, well like somewhere has left us like 11 players in West Ham kit sometimes running around and sometimes kicking the ball.

Salah looked off for the 2nd but makes no diference, its panned out as expected but we might have held out longer if Lopetegui had kept it simple and played players in their best positions. The inclusion of Coufal was my worry before the game and sadly I got that right as its so obvious we would be weakened. Playing unfit Kilman awful and playing Bowen out of position. Kudus wants to play for them allegedly  so put him central would have given them something to think anout.

Kilman clearly isn’t fit but rather than play Todibo he patches him up and sends him out. Superb management.

We had our chances and fluffed them. 
that’s the problem with counter attacking low block football. You have to convert your the few opportunities you get. 

whats clever with Liverpool is that they don’t really play a super high line in the way Man City would do. Their back 3 are really vigilant. Always watching any runners. 

the truth is we just don’t have the skill to beat this team. Our through balls are not accurate enough, we aren’t as sharp etc. I think people moaning about formation and selection are kind of barking up the wrong tree, maybe Summerville on and no coufal could have worked. But you know we’d get spanked the same way. 



 

 

 

Totally agree with this. We're playing the best team in world football as things stand. 

There is nothing this squad could have been permutated differently into that makes us a match for this team. Younger, more energetic, better coached, hungrier, more confident, more well verses in what they're doing etc. 

We've been smashed to bits by much worse Liverpool sides at home over Xmas periods than this in the past.
