Lopetegui (sacked 8.1.2025)
I was thoroughly looking forward to the start of this season
Was also prepared that things might take some time and wasn't expecting miracles over night What I didn't expect was a manager who after spending 6 weeks with the total dross he'd been left by Moyes would deem them fit to start in a premier league game And low and behold all of them played absolute shit
We're now 1 game in and none of our new players are any closer to bedding in or learning anything from their new team mates cos they barely spent a second on the pitch, half of them not at all I think it's gonna take somewhere between 6-10 games before we see the team anyone with an ounce of sense would play cos this bloke can't identify shit when he see's it I thought we was handed a miracle at half time when we went in level and low and behold he changed nothing I'm sure people are gonna make excuses for him and say it's too early to judge
But from what I've just seen today, this cսnt is David Moyes in a mission impossible mask

Except we will not get a good manager. The last manager west ham headhunted and paid compensation for was Pardew? This club has spent on players because they think they will get a return on resale. They don't spend on management or coaching. No money in it. So this idiot will stay on, unless he decides to leave.
Someone who speaks English will be an upgrade.

Re: Lopetegui
Sillivan will be doing nothing.
Lop is here until summer or until Sullivan doesnt have to pay him off. Almost guaranteed.
If Lop gets us mid table somehow he will be retained. We have to understand Sullivan priorities which start with self preservation. That means defelection of blame and not being accountable.

Re: Lopetegui
Was aghast when I saw that line-up today, and what he did at half time to put it right was even worse.
The bloke is some sort of a curse.

What season was that Mike? When we finished 14th or 9th?
Gentile another prick that beleives the myth that only Moyes can save us... Moyes didnt save us from relegation in either season he started go check the stats they were no better than Bilic or Pellegrini... I think his first stint his win % was 26%.. and when he took over from Pellegrini he got exactly the same amount of points.... yeah really saved us there!!!

Steidten needs binning as well IMO
Wont hold my breath on either happening any time soon though.
100% correct. He should go for the good of the club but he won’t. He’s doing just fine in Sullivans eyes, keeping his nest egg intact. We’ve somehow managed to be in a division with 3 clearly worse teams and I don’t think we’re in any danger of the drop despite the rancid performances so there’s no chance Sullivan acts now, The crying shame is the wasted potential and money. How do other clubs get it so right and we come full circle to this place we’re in now.

Re: Lopetegui
That season under Moyes when we had a counter attacking team with Antonio at his best and Lingard coming in and playing like Pele for six months was terrific for a while. We had bread and butter defenders like Dawson and had a superb set piece goals record. So I have never had an issue with a counter attacking set up. Thing is with it you need runners and unfortunately Moyes obsessed that summer over Lingard for too long, didn't get in a similar striker who could play the Antonio role and it all started to fall apart. I think Lingard was an idiot. Played his best football here and it could have carried on well for him, but the Club should have let go and looked for a player with similar traits, likewise with Antonio. We just keep ending up with a lumbering oaf up top though and without those runners you just end up becoming a team sitting in front of your penalty area unable to get out. Moyes had his chance but it bercame dull and too many goals wewre being conceded. Lop has just taken it to a whole new lower level.

Re: Lopetegui
gentile, and when I say "they despise the fans", I'm talking about the poor cunts that still go over there and spend a fortune (some of my family members included). I wouldn't go over there if you offered me a helicopter ride or chauffeur driven limo. for me the club died a long time ago, the only reason to still take an interest is to see the back of that midget fucker and his tory peer understudy
Re: Lopetegui
No he absolutely wouldn’t.
He spent way more over a few seasons and managed to make the team worse.
He wasted millions on Paqueta and Aguerd and Scamacca and Cornet and Vlasic and Areola and Mavrapanos.
The team were getting worse & worse under him, all Lopetegui had done is continue that form.

Re: Lopetegui
I said I’d give him until Xmas…
Here we are then…
He is incompetent…a fraud…
Today showed his complete lack of team management…selection…tactics and motivation…
Not up to Prem standard…
Let mSullivanp decide when to bin Him…
I don’t care anymore…

Re: Lopetegui
Goose, 14th and 9th finishes. I get your point about goal difference but with the signings given to Lopicluess Moyes would be top 6 today.

Over those two seasons we had a goal difference of -27 and conceded 130 goals.
