Shopping 4 and 5 to the likes of city, arsenal and this lot are becoming a bit par for the course now. Fully expect another twatting against city and then once again “Lopategui will have the Fulham and Palace games to save his job”. We’ll get 4 points from those and everything will be right with the world again. And so this cycle of mediocrity kicks off again.

The game went how most of us feared. We did alright in places, hit the woodwork, tried to attack. BUT, we should not be losing 0-5 at home to anyone. Liverpool hardly got out of third gear, and we kept on having silly lapses of concentration, which you simply can’t do against a team like Liverpool. As soon as we conceded the first, the next ones had an inevitability about them.

And the crowd was shit. We should be trying to lift the team, especially at the beginning. There was nothing there. Even the Liverpool fans were shit, only making a bit of noise when they scored.

Football has become so unenjoyable. And too expensive.

What is bad is that not a single person in that ground today thought we would have any chance of picking up a result.
We are becoming as predictable against the top teams as we were under Moyes, which is really worrying.

OK, for my sins I watched it all until the final whistle.

I normally look for positives, and I also don’t want to hear “but it was Liverpool”. I couldn’t care less if it was Accrington Stanley or Real Madrid, I expect professionals to put in a performance that at least looks as though they are (a) interested and (b) give a fuck, I saw neither in any of them apart from Kudus and Areola to some degree.

Make no mistake, we were fortunate to ‘get away’ with shipping 5, 7-8 against could easily have been achieved if ‘Pool decided they wanted to actually play properly in the second half and not just treat it as a training match because that is exactly what it looked like. Don’t get me started on the crowd either, yes we have had the debate of UP v OS and yes we had some shocking atmospheres at UP but at least it was home, this fucking dump looks soulless, sounds soulless and is full of ‘new style fans’ that really can’t be bothered, that was obvious when Ludo came out and you barely heard the Ludo song – I guarantee if that was at UP 90% of the crowd would (a) know what the song was about (b) be singing it with passion.

It is extremely lucky that this years PL is full of absolute garbage because in other seasons we would be bang in trouble – Ipswich and Southampton have gone (my opinion) and the final place will be between Leicester, Wolves, Everton and Palace …. Saying that, a run of really bad results could drag us in, don’t think we are fine when we play like that!

Of course, you can look at it and think Spurs and Man U have more problems than us with the size of the club and expectations of the clubs but after a few seasons of ‘relative’ stability, and no, I didn’t want Moyes to stay, as well as a European trophy you would have expected the club to be moving forward …. Step forward prime suspect 1, midget cսnt Sullivan, again, the cheap option of manager.  Step forward prime suspect 2, Steiden, I aint convinced and I am sure most of you aren’t either. Step forward prime suspect 3, Flopategi – he is a fraud, a charlatan, should never have been appointed but he has had time, he has had money, he has had the squad and he continues to baffle me – yes we may look silly but bin the cսnt off now and give the new manager (for me, Potter on an 18 month contract – remainder of this season and next season) some money to rebuild and see where we are in 2026/27 season.

If I am fed up watching it and not even being there I genuinely feel sorry for those going week in week out and watching that bilge with the occasional decent game in the middle of it. Unfortunately 17[sup]th[/sup] or above is Sullivans only pre-requisite to ‘success’ Until the cancer is removed the healing cannot start.

Sorry, had a mare typing this in WORD and pasting - paragraphs are a bit out!

If he asin't going to play him at the back I'd play Todibo in midfield.  Can't do any worse.

They owe us after that abomination. Not just Lopetegui - all of them. It could - and perhaps should - have been seven or eight. Only the keeper kept us in it for 30 minutes.

Yep. I got bad PTSD flashbacks of the 0-6 thumping earlier this year at home against Arsenal with many of the same set of players. The culture is rotten to the core at the Club/dressing room. The lack of effort was totally unacceptable and reminded me a lot of that day as well.

Fuck me do we miss Fabianski and Soucek to bring some order, fight, quality and effort.
I completely agree. I would go so far to say that the club is officially broken.
With Sullivan, Brady and Lopetegui running things, nothing will change.

But there are to many happy clapping fans around. Even the naive cunts on here boldly stating we would win this match.

He put the most effort in midfield when he came on apart from Kudus. Rather play him ahead of most of them with their stinking attitude.

Does anyone know why Guilherme doesn’t get much game time? Doesn’t look bad from what I can see.

Wasn’t he part of a few players that were in the same team as Kendrick from Real Madrid? I thought he was meant to be a special talent??

Didnt see the game. Went about as well as I thought it would. Rinse, repeat against Man City.

Poor recruitment and what is looking like the wrong fit managerially is really showing now and something is not clicking both on and off the field. It’s all a bit of a mess and don’t know where we go until Sullivan fucks off because ultimately it’s his decisions that end up bringing us back to this place.

No idea what has happened to Kilman.  Looked a pretty decent  signing early on but has just fallen apart.  Right now he and Mav are no better than if we had Diop and Balbuena, or even Zouma playing there.  They make Craig Dawson look like Bobby Moore at the moment.   AWB is a good full back but he has to play as a full back, not as a wing back who ends up playing in central midfield!  Emerson just looks fed up and bereft of confidence.  Midfield same.,  Paqueta is a player but his head isn't there and hasn't been since first the City interest and then the charges against him.  Soler, Alvarez, Soucek, Rodriguez just all so bloody slow, and why can't we learn that unless you are an attracking team pinning the opposition back players like Scamacca, Haller, Ings and Fulgrug are not the strikers you need.   It's a shambles right now with no character or team spirit.  We would be better off with a side full of everage young hungry British players,.

Barney Ronay of The Guardian:

"This isn’t so much a poor West Ham team right now as a totally disconnected one, a collection of shirts vaguely bunched together, like washing on a line."

If it not were for our Two Excellent Goalkeepers , We would be bottom of the table. A Team made up Mostly of  Foreigners ,who do not understand one another and are using our club as a get rich quick scheme.
sack Lopetegui and his little helpers, sack Steidten too ,for wasting club money . As for Sullivan, nothing much can be done ,but he will be gone, sooner rather than later. Embarrassing to Watch , they had lost before they started.

Only sort of positive is Kudus performance especially first half. Might mean we get near his release clause because the scale of recruitment needed is still significant. However, no point until summer or a new head coach appointed. Of course, highly likely another “groundhog day” and the £80 odd million and summer budget wasted again next year as players once again recruited via Sullivan and agents without a strategy, football philosophy and a committee of 3 or more having picks to ensure blame is spread and in so doing ensure Sullivan gets off the hook. His motivation is self preservation just like all dictators and despots

Guilherme had the other shot at goal today and looks tidy. Still want to see more of him especially with Paqueta now permanently out to lunch as it seems.

I gave up after the third went in. Apart from kudus hitting the post did we ever look like scoring?

I really wish that FIFA would get their thumbs out of their arses and ban Paqueta, the useless cսnt.

Agree, what is he? A scout like clubs always had.  His title is “window dressing”. He may have been allowed a couple of players ( Todibo, Fullkrug, Guilheme ) but mostly just preparing lists of options and Sullivan and Lop also getting a few choices too.

Wally St Pier used to do a better job at that 50 years ago 🥴☹️
