She really needs to speak for herself when expressing the view that strong opinions about important local matters cannot be understood in a broader social and geopolitical context by working class receivers. And then she proceeds to misrepresent the position as "minimisation" of the matter. Well, it's nothing but absolutely gross Daily Mail/Sun-style dumming down of any kind of educated standard on the assumption the working class will buy it.
