Of course the real nature of Musk’s beef is the Online Safety Act that is just about to come into force. It is all about protecting children and the less resilient among us from the kind of content he makes money on by making internet providers responsible for what they carry.

Now I think that’s disgusting and very distressing but Trump, Musk and their like will of course try to take full political advantage of it by building the Reform vote. I very much hope Starmer stands firm unlike Teresa May, who actually held hands with the violet clown.
Stands firm to people wanting a public enquiry about the sexual abuse of 1000’s of young girls?
What a surprise you’re not in favour of this.

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
Seems to be a occurrence of similarities happening with the DPP, grooming gangs, Saville and post office scandal, wonder who was running the place at the time?

A tiresome, pathetic retort as well as unfounded and insulting.
l’d suggest it IS also downplaying the shocking crimes committed against minors.
And yet when abuse comes his way, there he is running to the mods and threatening to get the site closed down.
What a mark of a man.
Actually, I did express anger “at the shocking state of affairs that allowed it to go on for so long”: anger at the underfunded local authorities, the overstretched police, the sensationalising media and above all anger at the cynical taking-advantage by extremist agitators like Yaxley-Lennon. I recall you got especially offended when I said that a serious investigation backed up by proper funding at national level was needed. Guess I touched a nerve.
Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
Sensational media, are you actually being serious? You expressed anger at the various media and authorities but not towards the actual perpetrators? What a cսnt you really are, you ain't fucking wired up properly. Just fuck off.

Why on earth would I have been offended by that? Or touched a nerve?
Are you literally fucking mental?
serious question.

Other mods can decide appropriate course of action for all concerned as it's a no-win position.I think it’d be a win for everyone if you just ban Pickle. It can’t be good for his mental health to get so much abuse day in day out by so many people, no matter how much seems to crave it. It would certainly take away the black cloud he swamps over every thread he appears on. Should have happened 10 years ago.

And then she proceeds to misrepresent the position as "minimisation" of the matter. Well, it's nothing but absolutely gross Daily Mail/Sun-style dumming down of any kind of educated standard on the assumption the working class will buy it.
