Massive Attack" wrote: 04 Jan 2025, 15:54 Areola continues to be allergic to crosses. Woeful at commanding his penalty box. Apart from the occasional regulation Hollywood save he's a shocking Premier League Keeper. Total liability that breeds zero confidence in his Team. He's a fucking giant too at 6ft 5 so it's a joke how shit he is for his size. Sell immediately!

Agree, a shocking keeper at this level. never did like him.

Think the Commentator said at the start of the match in his 2 previous starts he's let in 9 goals. Well of that's true, add another 2 in just another 45 minutes with another 45 minutes still to go...

As a Team we simply ain't good enough all over the pitch having to carry so many. If ain't the hapless Areola, it's Alavarez going AWOL watching the game pass him by, or Paqueta with his thoughts on Paqueta Island, or Fullkrug mincing around gingerly like he's a wounded tiny kitten. More passengers in the Team than a 747. Imagine what we'd be like if we actually had a half decent Team to regularly wheel out and not this dogshit...

But none of this is on on the manager, right? Just to be clear

We really have been struggling to keep Todibo out there regualrly playing constantly nursing him with his injuries. We have to buy someone else in the window as proper cover and not keep relying on the Greek tragedy. When it rains, it pours..

This is one of the things I just can’t fathom about Lop. Inexplicable substitutions and team selections.

Man City away is not the game where he’s gonna show his worth, is it?

He already got a goal at Leicester and an assist at Southampton. Let’s judge him in the Fulham and Palace matches.

If he doesn’t get injured again before then and also if Lop doesn’t inexplicably not pick him in the matches where you’d think it would actually suit him.

whatever happens, he either leaves this window or the end of the season and instantly looks like twice the player wherever he goes to.

He feels like a signing 5 years too late when he had mobility and a real eye for goal. Nowadays he's blowing out of his arse after an initial good minute opening spell. At this level that's just not good enough although in rare glimpses, you do see the quality in his touch. Injuries have finally caught up with him and his match 'fitness' is a joke. He's been back training and playing regularly since Bournemouth ffs. 😂

If we want to play out from the back as I think Lopetegui wants we simply domt have all the players for it.

Agree Areola not only struggling on crosses but cannot use his feet, we need better left back and above all else an athlete or two in
centre mud. Nor Soucek, Alvarez and Paqueta as a trio or even Soler.

3-0 within next 10 mins I eeckin to wrap it up and a 4th by Ft

Summervilles pace is fantastic on counter but he is outnumbered or final ball is not there. Kudus  needs to go back to being greedy. It's how Bowen gets his goals. He wants too much time to get a shot off and is hesitant to take on a player. Basically we've damaged one of the biggest threats we have.
City will win this at a canter. Not a surprise but we dont make the most of chances we have.

Not really sure what people want Fullkrug to do?
He's won all of his aerial battles, but we've created nothing for him up top

He probably isn't the answer, but fucking hell.

Can't win games if you can't keep clean sheets and 78 goals conceded in a calendar year is telling.  Yes Coufal has been shown up again but I reckon you could put any back four out there and they would struggle as we simply haven't got a midfield.  Summerville only real bright spot.  Does this Fulcrock guy really play for Germany?!
