Other mods can decide appropriate course of action for all concerned as it's a no-win position.I think it’d be a win for everyone if you just ban Pickle. It can’t be good for his mental health to get so much abuse day in day out by so many people, no matter how much seems to crave it. It would certainly take away the black cloud he swamps over every thread he appears on. Should have happened 10 years ago.
Anyway, a strong contender of the most whiney, emotionally contorted post of 2025 already.
Says the poster who went crying to the mods because he didn’t like the hurty words some people posted.

You carry on pretending you really don't know. You're doing your usual thing of sticking to a point regardless of what's put in front of you.
You have fun dying on that hill, the vast majority of people reading this thread will know exactly what I'm talking about.

We're back into tin foil hat territory again, I see. I notice no one actually read the report, that actually happened, but the Conservative government decided to completely ignore but are just digging around to get a quote from one person that might agree with part of their conspiracy theory.

The liberal elements in the Tory party were also suppressing the reports of the grooming gangs in Rotherham? Really? How did they wield so much influence? Whose accusations were they afraid of? What on Earth are you on about?

Corbyn was the least of their worries. Like the rest of the liberal elite class these people are governed by cowardice and a desperate need to virtue signal at any given opportunity. They are fucking filth, each and every one of them, regardless of which organisation they work for or which political party they represent.

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
The facts on the grooming gangs’ activity were no secret - what was stopping the government in London from making sure the grooming gangs were dealt with as promptly as possible? It surely couldn’t have been a fear of being called racist by the mighty Jeremy Corbyn, could it?

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
It really is that simple.
If there were adequate funds and manpower available for authorities to be in possession of the information they had then there can be no other reason.
And let's have this right. Theses gangs are not made up of Asians from China, Singapore Vietnam etc, they predominantly consist of Pakistani men.
Turn this on its head. If there were gangs of working class white British men who had been known to race 1000's of Muslim girls over a 20 year period , the whole thing would have been handled very differently.

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
If there were people in authority who failed to act or repressed evidence on the grooming gangs out of a sense it would be racist to take action, then they were simply and horribly wrong.
But it’s not that simple, is it.

"what was stopping the government from making sure it was published and providing the necessary resources both material and legal to deal with the grooming gangs as promptly as possible?"
Very simple answer, one word covers it.
COWARDICE.
Enough high level people knew enough to expose the scandal but were to scared to do so.
So to clarify, being overstretched and under funded had fuck all to do with any of it.

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
A damning report by the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) found child sexual exploitation continues in all parts of England and Wales, a decade after it became a national scandal.
The report said children were being abused “in the most degrading and destructive ways” amid “extensive failures by local authorities and police forces”.John O’Brien, secretary to the inquiry, called for a “cultural change” to ensure that child sexual exploitation can be understood and prevented.
“We need to break the culture where people are worried that they might be accused of being racist just because they record factual information,” he told The Independent.
Official reports into abuse by grooming gangs have identified racism fears as an issue for almost a decade, but Mr O’Brien said cases seen for IICSA’s latest report were “very recent indeed”.
It reported that the fear of being seen as racist may have hindered the detection of and intervention in abuse and said it was “essential” for professionals to raise concerns freely.
A Home Office spokesperson, said: “Victims of sickening grooming gangs must never be let down in the name of political correctness, and the police must use all of the powers available to them to investigate reports of child sexual abuse.

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
Of course it was wrong to suppress that report. However, I’d like to know what steps were taken to publish it despite the local authority and police who seem to have acted in collusion on the assumption they would be thrown under the bus if it saw the light of day. The report was there - what was stopping the government from making sure it was published and providing the necessary resources both material and legal to deal with the grooming gangs as promptly as possible?

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
Plenty of evidence and testament out there which says some police authorities and councils KNEW exactly what was going on buyt were to concerned by potential accusations of being racist to voice their findings.
Overstretched and under funded have fuck all to do with it,cowardice and self preservation are the major causes here.
And as for Yaxley Lennon, he called all this out years ago, showing the kind of courage and honesty that those in power can only dream of. Wasn't wrong was he.

Well, that’s just your opinion and you have provided no evidence to support it. On the other hand, the overstretched and underfunded corner has the entire fucking history of the last government’s terms in office since 2010.
