​​​​​​In the past he's favoured a 3-4-3 formation...hard to see how we can do that currently with only 3 senior CBs, one of whom is injured. He's also played wingers (Solly March as an example) in the wing back roles.

Typically when a 3-4-3 gets announced on a match day the manager is immediately described as being too negative, too cautious etc. I guess it depends on the composition of the 4.

He's given young players chances...hopefully that continues at West Ham.

Am I the only one sensing that he's got the demeanor of a washed up ex Alcoholic or Heroin addict, or someone who suffers / has suffered with mental illness.

His confidence seems a bit shot to me and I found the press conference quite awkward with him repeating the same sound bites, and coming across like someone in an interview and libbing because they either hadn't prepared or just didn't know the answers.
Don't wish to insult or slag him off. ​​​​​​I could be way off the mark and hope I am, but it's my gut feeling and I'm a pretty good judge of people.

I don't care what formation he plays as long as we start seeing more from the quality we have. It's difficult to know if the character of some of the team is such that they flunk under every manager. 
Players like Kudus, Paqueta, Todibo, Alvarez and Fullkrug should be producing more. I'd like to see if he can integrate Guilherme who for me has looked willing in the few appearances he has had. 
I don't want us to go back to a Moyesque 2 shots on goal and 30% possesion gameplan, I want to see us create chances and be more ruthless. Our shots on goal under Lopetegui was fairly high but the quality was often poor. I hope Summerville is also used a lot more. I do feel he is a little lightweight and isn't great when we don't have the ball but we are always crying out for pace in the side and he has it. 

I do have some reservations over whether he will actually take us forward however like with Lopetegui who I also wasn't taken with I'm happy to give him some time to show what he can make of our squad and how he thinks he wants to play against different sides. At the very least I believe he is a good guy who will be looking to build an organised close knit team who work for each other. This may mean some who don't fit leave the club including those quality wise we don't want to. 

Tough introduction for him this week and whatever the result there it's unlikely to be an indicator of future performances but at least he sees the players against tough opposition and how they deal with it.

I agree they need to stay in the league and so I agree with their owners, he had to go. Been listening to TS for the last hour also and out of about ten Everton fans only one wanted him to stay....And he was a predictable shouty victim scouser that said "Dyche was the man to save Everton". Had obviously been on the brandy.

Graham Potter said he had "no expectations" of West Ham entering the transfer market this month after being unveiled as head coach.

They're running a big risk going down this season now as Dyche was a relegation avoiding specialist for them. Yes the Football is dire but beggars can't be choosers in their position and they would have had enough. Silly season is well and truly under way.

Well, the number of English managers in the Premier League got back up to the dizzy heights of 3 out of 20 for a few hours at least. Back down to 2 with Dyche's sacking.

Dyche leaves Everton with a win percentage of just 28% after one game shy of two full seasons (equivalent) in charge (21 wins from 75 games). Shocking record and he can have no complaints about getting the tin tack.

Interesting that he ducked the question about working with Steidten in today's presser...didn't even say something generic about their relationship but completely ignored it and started talking about his backroom team!

More changes to come maybe?!

 

 

I think Steidten is probably being given this window to prove his worth, plus it would be daft to get rid of him just as the transfer window has opened. We need some new players in and its probably a case of 'all hands to the pumps'.
The last summer window looks like a partial car crash, and Steidten has to take a large slice of the blame for that. You couple that with what looks like poor relationships with the previous two managers and you can see why Potter swerved the question.
