Agree with that. Haven’t felt like that for a couple of years now.

Anyone know what time the team news is published for cup games? Standard or a little earlier/later? Really interesting to see who he picks and what formation.

It's strange.  I feel like I've got my West Ham back.  I didn't take to Lop from day 1.

I'm hoping we go 5 at the back with AWB & Scarles as the wing backs, learn to keep our shape and defend with our brains, if so, I'm going for 1-2 victory.

Not overly optimistic of the result, but I'm hopeful that we will see a line-up and a system that suits the players that we have.
Potter may have only had one training session with them, but he will be well aware of where our issues lie.
I'm also expecting to see maximum effort and everyone putting a shift in.

I am not very optimistic about the result tbh.
What im looking for is a decent lineup, how we behave with and without the ball, and to see if there is a change of intensity and courage.

Fingers crossed for a U-turn and even an away win.

I’m hoping we get a new manager bounce but to be fair I doubt we will see any changes this quickly. So being realistic It looks grim for us today. Hoping I’m wrong.

I think they should do a plate trophy for those knocked out in the 3rd round.

Winner gets sorted tonight as the meddling wankers that run the game have stopped 3rd round Replays. Yet further tradition of the game eroded away so to appease the Premier Leagues vested interests. Feel for Clubs at the lower end of the food chain that could really do with the Replays.

Mex - Scarles is a left-back.

Agree. But while we transition (hopefully) into one, he could be a really key player.

John Drake" wrote: 10 Jan 2025, 09:19 The difficulty with Soucek is that the game mostly passes him by in open play. Hardly has a touch and has miserable passing accuracy stats. He can be useful in both boxes, but he needs better footballers around him to compensate for his weaknesses. Hence, his best contribution was when Rice and Lingard were in midfield alongside him.
His finishing is woeful too, with his feet anyway.

I hope this isn’t the side! Stick WB on the right and bring Scarles in.
Sounds good to me. Pardon my ignorance, but what is Scarles’s best position? I think Cresswell is a bit old to start?
