Story from Italy, Todibo loan to buy to Juventus.  Surely just speculation ? 

Ok he got an injury but he is a perfect player for Potter’s system imo. We would be insane to move him on after 6 months and only a handful of games. 

Unless Sullivan is doing a revisionist thimg and removing all traces of Steidten in his scapegoating campaign?  

“The Sullivan Effect” in full flow now he’s back in charge of recruitment. A 76 year old freak wreaking havoc. 

Just embarrassing if true, unless he’s flat refusing to come back (I wouldn’t actually blame him) or Potter has genuinely said he doesn’t want him. But no way is a guy who wants to play three centre backs wanting to lose one of only three he has on the books- his best one at that. Or perhaps he’s just been very problematic behind the scenes.

The last time I checked he wasn’t our manager so why would I be praising him? Potter is our manager so he will get my full support. 

Seems a bit strange and illogical to steadfastly defend him in every way while he’s here to just change your mind and criticise his actions here once he’s gone is all.

Moyes record with expensive strikers is abysmal, he ruined the careers of Haller & Scamacca.

Agreed but he obviously didn’t want either of those two players. One was here before he arrived and the other was so obviously bought in against his wishes. Neither were in any way had the attributes he wanted or needed. That’s not to say he shouldn’t have adapted for them but he never chose either. Give him someone with the attributes of Antonio or Arnie or the attributes he actually wants or needs for his system, and he will get a tune out of them.

2. What is the deal structure?

answer to 1 is more than like. Two, I just hope we’re not locked into an expensive obligation for a short sighted solution.

Looks like it's a permanent but deferred because of PSR and how do you know we're not looking at it as the long term solution we want? 

We’ve got about £145m of PSR headroom so I don’t know why we’d be deferring the transfer fee to the summer.

maybe he is the long term solution, but it doesn’t look or feel that way.

At 22 he has more chance than most, let's see if he signs first.

There's been a managerial change to a manager that doesn't play so much to his strengths and prefers to play Weghorst. Ajax have a policy of cashing in on their best players at the peak of their value. So they have a young striker who doesn't want to be there having an off season after an exceptional one....they're just gambling that now is the moment to get their best return.

No guarantee he succeeds for us, but their allowing him to leave doesn't mean he's useless.

He may well turn out to be a perfect fit, i really hope so.

I will re-position it as no team in a top league will let their best players go.
Ajax will let this fella go for a reason.

Just says he's their player and they'll sell him on their terms.. We should do the same. 

They turned down multiple bids in the summer, he's wanted out since then. 

We need a striker the same as we did in the summer when most on here were turning up their noses at Duran... 

Nobody knows how good or bad he will be, but he's the right profile unlike Ings or Fullkrug...
