Jean Clair Todibo received a 'Hero's Welcome' at Nice before kick-off as he attended a two-nil win of his parent club against Marseille last Sunday.  Nice fans took to social media asking him to return and stay in the country.

West Ham have already triggered an obligation to buy meaning the Hammers must pay Nice €32m (£26.7m) this summer. They insist they have no interest in loaning him out to Juventus or another club saying he remains in Graham Potter's plans.

The 25-year-old is recovering from a calf injury in France and is back in the gym working on his fitness.  

The West Ham centre back is expected to be out for another three weeks and targeting a return towards the later part of middle of February with Arsenal away on 22 Feb a potential return game for the defender.

What a weird fucked up situation it is with this bloke. It's been weird from the moment he signed. I guess there's no reason he shouldn't go and watch a football game but something feels off with all this.

His record in the Swiss league doesn’t really interest me. Once he  moved to Italy, he struggled for goals and likewise in Portugal. 
We have creativity in Bowen, Paqueta, Kudus, Summerville etc. We need a goalscorer. I’m not sure Cabral is that player. IF we are actually in for him, I hope he succeeds. 

It illustrates he's able to make plenty of goals across 4 different Countries top Leagues. It was also his goals and assists that contributed towards their recent Cup win for Benfica, as his goals almost did for Fiorentina towards getting to 2 Cup Finals 2 seasons ago. Not that goals are all he's about anyway which Manuel is right to point out. 

Are there any strikers from Lopetegui's Spain U19 team that you used to watch that might still be knocking about that we could sign?

Yeah, Morata. We could have attempted to sign him although much prefer we go down the younger player route which we are doing.

Hopefully Ferguson is the main one that gets done on an option to buy loan deal. Seems promising.

Latest from Sky Sports News' Dharmesh Sheth: West Ham United are still pushing to sign Evan Ferguson.They are in contact with Brighton and are expected to propose a deal.

West Ham understood to be exploring both a loan and a permanent deal.There is a growing optimism that the player wants to join and re-unite with Graham Potter.Ferguson is one of a number of forwards West Ham are looking at amid an injury crisis. 

Sky Sports News understands West Ham have also made enquiries to Benfica over their striker Arthur Cabral, however, Ferguson remains the primary target.

Disagree completely. As I said previously we are crying out for a goalscorer. He doesn’t fit that profile.

I've just been praising him for his approach in this window after learning from lessons in his previous job where he fucked up in the transfer market for Chelsea. You always this hard of thinking and reading..

The main thing here is them learning from it and it sounds like they have which is good for us, not so much for Chelsea.

Had you actively scouted Mudryk and knew he'd be terrible?  I mean on the face of it at the time it seemed like a decent signing.  Maybe all the scouting and due diligence checked out and it was just one of those things?

Sometimes it just doesn't work out as it's not an exact science...all you can do is try and balance risk and reward.

 

 

For the mega money forked out for him at such a young age and limited experience based on 1 season in the Ukrainian League and handfuls of Champions League games it was always a huge gamble that even Potter himself admitted. And from day 1 he was shocking for Chelsea.
