When I was younger I would have never admitted I liked ABBA😬at that time it was very uncool, if anything it was the done thing to say how shit there commercial pop shit was, but times have changed and now I see even Pete Townsend said of the song SOS that it is the best pop tune ever written 😳 he’s got a point!

Well, the missus has just come home, and as she's not a fan of Stipes 'whiny vocals' have decided to put this classic on:

Verve - A Storm In Heaven

Controversial I know, but imo a better album than Urban Hymns (although tbf that was also the dogs-danglies)
Time to roll a fat one up, methinks.

Your Song, Take Me To The Pilot, I Need You To Turn To, The King Must Die, Sixty Years On.
If it had Mona Lisa's And Mad Hatters on it, it'd be the only EJ album you really need.

Fantastic song.
Hard to pick a favourite between this and Good Vibrations.

what do you think of The Harmony Codex?

To me it seems like an odd album to me as all the best tracks are clustered towards the end
Yeah, know what you mean mate. Although I find pretty much all SW/PT albums to be growers.
Not too many easy listens, they take their time to stick.
On The Sunday Of Life is the only album I haven't really 'got'.
Saying that, Economies Of Scale from THC is a great track, and towards the start of the album.
As an aside, only found out recently that Nick Beggs is the father-in-law of a work colleague.
