Straight loan? Developing Brighton’s player for them or getting him fit or testimg if he can get fit? Not entirely sure what we get from it? If he plays well they will want him back or a lot more money. Suppose if we climb 4 ir more places in the league its worth £3 million a place?

Sullivan did not want an obligation and kept moving the goalposts on a deal so just went with a straight loan I guess? P

Another player with not much pace though, not really over enthused with it myself but hopefully if it happens it will be good for us.

So a straight loan, no option... Though I prefer this to an obligation
That's going to upset a few on here with him coming in.

Potter will end up exasperated and bending to Sullivan's will, like alledgedly so many young girls looking for work before him under his influence.
Not the first time you have make references to Sullivan and any so called sexual misdemeanors. A bit weird?? Hopefully Sullivan gets wind and gets the site shut down.

Absolute cսnt if true. If the manager knows and wants a player get the player. Too much of this shit ends up with zero or paying just as much on subpar panic signings from the bargain bin.

Well isn't his point that we made a half-arsed attempt at introducing a model that doesn't require a full rebuild (both playing and supporting cast) every time a manager is changed, but have immediately jettisoned it?

The shift to a 'head coach' model, where the Club has a vision and identity on the field that transcends the manager, and a Technical Director assumes control for recruiting to that vision as well as recruiting a coach to implement that vision.

I understand his loss of faith in that regard. Steidten was never given the autonomy to do that, and then even if you didn't think he was the right guy for it, rather than commit to the model and replace Steidten, we've lurched back to the other end of the spectrum.

There's no blame on Potter of course. Or MacCauley. Both just guys doing right by themselves. But once Potter eventually leaves, so will MacCauley, and we're back to a visionless square one where all recruitment stops, and scouting falls apart as well as control of the team as a whole.

Remember they're only allegations. No proof of them and I hope they're wrong frankly as never any positives to come from allegations like that being true, either for those involved or our Club.

Anyway, back to on topic.

Still being linked to lots of younger players, but all of them for sizeable fees. We seem to want a bargain, try before you buy, deal, but are trying that with the top prospects at Clubs.

The shift to focus on up and coming players has happened, but, the understanding of what it takes to sign players of that ilk seems somewhat lagging behind.

Hopefully that changes in the next 36 (!) hours.

In fairness there's a lot to say avoid Ferguson, and Sullivan has his heart set on Cabral quite clearly.

Potter will end up exasperated and bending to Sullivan's will, like so many young girls looking for work before him under his influence.

The fans NEED to turn on him, but I won't be sad if we don't get Ferguson.

We have to have the only owner in the history of football who tries to consistently actively sabotage his own club’s transfer deals
